Lol my solo cup entry got fried and then my next bean didn't pop! So I'm just a judge and won't have an entry this go round.
Should be fun now as were going into flower tonight! :) I reckon it gives me a couple of weeks to sort a nice canopy out and also buy a new filter and fan.

I am very sorry Skunny. At least you don't know what you are missing. Burritos are THE SHIT! If you ever come to Portland I will take you to some of the best Mexican food you can get this far away from Mexico.

OK anybody got any thoughts on a good inline fan and filter??? Only needs to be a small fan as its only clearing a cupboard. Noise is a big factor, so either a good acoustic fan or a really good little norm Inline??? A couple of hundred bucks spare so cost not an issue, although I like a bargain lol. :)

All ideas info shared is eagerly sought, so many thanks all! :)

My brutha, I've tried quite a few, usually focusing on a balance of cost vs performance obviously.
My choice of fans is Can-Cans. They're a lil priceier, but are super quiet & last way longer than the amazon/eBay specials. I haven't found the actual name brand filters to be so much better to justify the $$$ though. I've used cheapo filters that were as good as Brand X. Fans are different though. Get good fans.

Cheers my friend :) ill take a look at them fans. Its finding either a small fan that's quiet or a larger fan that has a speed control to slow down the draw/extraction. I just need gentle neg pressure in my closet to combat scent. Heat isn't an issue, so it doesn't need to be that powerful.

I've only ran inline, has anyone got any info on the box acoustic fans, are they any better in the noise dept??

Well hey ho folks! :)
Some pics of my favourite girls etc. The first is my first clone the AK Cherry Cheese from a flowering mom. She has got amazing structure that lends to good production and also would make an awesome mom for clones. I have Shed loads of these beans so I'm gonna just flower her out.
All we've done with her is bend, almost super crop her limbs to spread her out.

Then we have the Squat GDP cross. She is just being opened up with my wires and then even though I've just flipped I'm using selective defol now and throughout this period to get me canopy set.

Then at home under some Budmaster power! :) Oh and I'm sold on cloth pots, especially these 1 gal ones I'm using. I think ill still get good yield off small root mass! :) :)

My BID bud girl is vegging in a kitchen cupboard under cfls as are my next gen girls . I now have a G13 Midnight Kush, Critical + 2.0 and also a WW x Skunk! :)

LA, I have tried a couple fans and filters. Don't go cheap on the filter. I use a 4'' fan and filter. The Hurricane fan I am using now, is not quiet enough for me, but the cheap Ventech fan I got in a fan/filter combo on amuhzon died in 90 days. The filter that came in the combo only stopped 75% of the odor. The Phresh filter I replaced it with works great. Phresh is mighty good at its job. Like I said, the Hurricane brand fan is too loud for me. It is in a room in basement and it can be heard in my bath on 1st floor. I think it is 70db.

I think I saw a box made to quiet a fan on 420. I think it might have been from BID or icemud, but don't hold me to that. I want to build one. So I am looking for that thread.

Good luck on finding a fan and filter.

I've got a big Systemair RVK that I've had for 8 years & it's never missed a beat. The only noise you hear is the air being sucked & blown. I've no idea what brand my filter is but it was the most expensive. It still works a treat after 8 years so buy the best you can get & it will last :)

Your girls are looking good bro & cloth pots rock :)

Well the money is there for quality, yet ill try reaching out to some of my contacts within the industry and see if I can get some fans to trial/test etc. No point paying if its not required. :)
Either way ill review whatever fan I go with, as silence is sought! :)

No body have any acoustic fan experience? ?

Do you have an HVAC store near your house? If not look up HVAC 4" inline fans. With insulated ducting you can't hear a damn thing. Completely silent. I used those when I grew in tents before. Had to keep them silent being in an apartment and nosy neighbors being so close and all.

As far as filters you can find a cheap one and hose it down before use. It makes cheap carbon filters work like expensive ones :)

Voltage regulators can adjust speed on most fans if they don't have controls. Less power = slower spin

Yeah but I heard the probs with slowing a fan like that is you can cause more noise sometimes and maybe burn it out quicker? ?? :)

Those HVAC fans I am talking about. They can handle having the voltage regulated. They're used for industrial ventilation and can be set up anywhere. Bathroom fans, above your stove. You can make those things barely spin to cause just a little pull and they won't burn out.

Give it a try, I've been messing around with HVAC fans for a while now. Never been dissatisfied
