I know for a fact that the PAR on the God was simply daft in levels. The second gen have it dialled back a touch as I found myself that those lights were just daft in raw power! They're all now about quality and this has led to some great avenues opening up for them, with BIG names in different areas approaching them nowadays !
I can also say they love new tech and have loads more planned over the next 6 months! ;)

Mmm the GOD series is a tad over kill i must admit & perhaps over saturation of light could prove detrimental to plant health ! more so on their larger models...

I've come across comments on optimal PAR & umol which to much can effect photosynthesis.

The OD series looks a safer bet...

I really do like the budmasters for their peak range in Nm & their closeness to natural sun light with the chlorophyll A & B.

Cheers for the heads up on new products coming from BM, i'll sit back for awhile before getting my hands on some of their gear :thumb:

re: LA's Daft New Multiple Test - With Remo Nutrients & Budmaster's New Tech!

Well my first Think BIG girl is potted up in a 8 gal cloth pot. She should have stuck her head up by the time I get home tonight.
I've had to use mainly a coco blend for her medium, as was almost out of my recycled soil. So not my ideal mix but should suffice.

Then the monster 2m flux is already on the go :)

Hi LA could you explain what you do to recycle your soil? I am organic now but others may wish to know how you do it. I was just thinking about a build-up of salts.

My seedling mix is a 50:50 of coir and sieved compost and works really well( holds moisture in the coir but drains well too) so I think your seedling will be fine until Daddy gets more soil sorted :cheesygrinsmiley:

Med my pal :)
OK so my soil just gets reused over and over. Firstly all my plants get flushed with RO water at end of life! Then the cropped plants medium is left to dry out. II then break the rootball down and don't give a damn on the old roots. Throw the main lump away and don't stress on the bitty stuff left in the mix.
Then its mycos time and I chuck my great white in and whatever else I can find, even some guano and ashes if to hand (such as palm ash). Then bag up with fresh compost to top up and some extra coco. Then its bagged up and shoved in my kitchen cupboard ;) its maybe a week or 2 before it gets used again!
As I flush with RO at end of cycle salts aren't a bother! As for my first girl she is already in a huge pot as a auto goes straight to big for no stunting! So unfortunately my first girl is mainly just coco and me prefer my dirt! :(

Curious about the re adding of mycos..

Read (just looked again but couldnt find now..) that mycorrhizial fungi adapt and grow stronger aid for the specific plant they are hosted on.
..ie, the mycos on those roots that get thrown out, will be more beneficial to the next crops, opposed to newly added mycos which havent built up their colony for this specific plant.

I need to do more investigating now, but thought id share..
