LaquerHead's LOS: Gold Rush, Strawberry Glue & More!

Got the banana fermented fruit juice going! To do this I took 4 lbs of bananas, peel and all, and 4 lbs of brown sugar and mixed in a large mixing bowl by hand until everything was mush! Then added in just over a tbsp of the LABS made earlier and mixed that in real good. Into the gallon mason jar it went with cheesecloth over the top so C02 can escape! Now we wait 2-3 weeks making sure to "redistribute" the liquids and solids that will seperate so we get a good ferment!

It will be used weekly as a soil drench in flower! Hoping to plump the buds up a good amount :slide:

@Kingjoe83 Its super easy and the LABS is NOT necessary! It is a little messy though lol. And needs stirred about every day for the first couple weeks to keep liquids and solids distributed evenly! It should always smell like bananas and brown sugar, never alcohol...and dont dilute it.

I use it maybe once a week sometimes once every couple weeks during flower, after they've started flowering! After a couple rounds in my soil, I may opt to leave it out for a couple grows so my soil doesnt get too many inputs...the less the better

And to be honest im not even sure if aloe "feeds" the plant but I use it 3-5 times a week, and I know it definitely boosts immune sytem among other things. (Pretty sure it feeds too) :hmmmm:

I can help with that. Aloe is high in a growth hormone Gibberellin and some other Phytohormones. It has been studied and proven to enhance other growth hormones that regulate growth, lateral branching, root growth, flower set and size and also age of plant.

I foiler on Coconut water with aloe (trader Joes brand) organic no sugar no preservatives. It's part of my IPM routine as well.

Aloe gel can also be used to propagate cuttings for cloning. Gibberellin is also a root growth hormone and aloe disinfects in addition. I use this instead of chemical rooting gels and powders.

Good stuff... good for us too. There's an aloe gel drink that is good. Tastes like water-ish.

Thinking maybe some sour dragons breath I grabbed off of strainly

I ran that in this Summer when I was in Canada at our Cottage. The seller lives about 35 miles from our cottage so I figured why not? It was a good deal.
I only got 2 seeds to germ tho. Also bought a different strain but ended up dragons breath or at least it looked exactly like it and NOT like the strain I paid for.
Was happy with what I ended up with so all good.

Sour Dragons Breath or whatever it is.... looks like it. I called it Cookies. It didn't last very long was tasty good smallish plants tho. I'd VEG it 6 weeks at least to get some height. No stretch.

I have an aloe plant, but stopped using aloe and sst when my first grow started showing issues. Might try to reintroduce aloe this next round during veg.

What’s the best way to use it? I feel like I asked bob this before lol, I was just blending it with a hand blender and adding that to my feed water. :rollit:

Amazing info Bob..Thanks a bunch!! I knew the aloe was gold - just not sure why lol.

Hope I get a couple to germinate. They sound pretty tasty. My usual veg is a good 60 days so we should be able to make it work!

I dont think aloe could possibly hurt anything! I would use it without a doubt, like an all around plant tonic. I use the powdered form at 1/4 teaspoon per gallon at least every other time I water...I also use it in ~75% of my foliars at the same ratio.

I grow it too, but they're still fairly small so maybe next year. And if using fresh aloe, use 1/4 cup per gallon and blend it up good. Cant really use a sprayer when going this route tho..

Laquer, I'm jumping in too! That Blue Dream was a tallie before the top eh? PC is a fun smoke as well.

I've found that as long as LOS is amended right, its real hard to F-up (unless your like me and you do stupid shit elsewhere). As a test, I have a plant with yellowing fans down low. Less light is there, but my soil may have been lacking energy. Laid some compost on top of a mycelium bed to start the process. Aw yeah. Most of the previous mound was already eaten so the medium was due for a feeding. I'll be watching to see if I get a change.

I grew with Fermented banana peels.
Wash peels
Cut in slices
Place in jar
Add water
Make sure they have water above surface
Lid on
Stay for 3-4 WEEKS (Fermenting)
Water should be cloudy.
If it goes black, toss.
About same routine as yours without the sugar added.
Cal mag, I had from Emilya.
Then coffee grounds
We got ourselves some good buds from the above.
If you add good organic soil and better lights to the equation... (I grew with led/cfl in veg and T8 in flower )
You have some killer buds in your hands
Eggshells and vinegar.

All this banana peel talk has me curious. I should be washing and slicing my peels and putting directly into my storage soil
You can do compost with it too.
I haven't checked how long it takes for them to melt, but if you have some worms in there too.. You'll have faster results.

Be my pleasure :passitleft:. And yeah, I had to slow her down! Thats what makes me think I may have the sativa leaning pheno :slide:

I feel its pretty hard to screw up as well, I've been fairly successful from the beginning...cant say that about my hempy attempts lol. I would lean towards running out of energy dependent on size of plants I guess..what you did should clear them right up. Kelp meal wouldnt hurt in the near future if that is indeed the case (or is your compost pre amended?) Thanks for stopping by Gaf!

If you had a good bit of worms in there, that would work wonderfully! It wouldn't take them long at all. All my extra peels go to the worm/compost bins

I uploaded some pics....now I have to figure out how to retrieve them....that's what happens when one rips a few hits on the bong..:peace::bong:
