LaquerHead's LOS: Gold Rush, Strawberry Glue & More!

Hey being on cruise control is a good thing! Lol

Lol...it really is! Have time to gett all sorts of other things done. Weather has been nice so watered the compost real good, probably do that again tonight. Also transplanted the yarrow and fenugreek sprouts into some 3" containers. Some of them will later get transplanted to the current pots for mulch!

Also got more lavender and a bunch of mints I should probably get started!

Yarrow and fenugreek seedlings..First time growing these plants from seed so not real sure what im doing or what to expect!

Started with a single small aloe about a year ago and have a decent collection now..plus ones I've given out to friends. But for some reason I cant get them to grow very fast, at all.

How often should aloe generally get watered? Does the soil need to dry out? They have have a really flimsy hold on the soil also, and tend to lean over to one side

...Like cacti, succulents do best in dry conditions. When growing aloe vera plants, plant them in a cactus potting soil mix or a regular potting soil that has been amended with additional perlite or building sand. Also, make sure that the pot has plenty of drainage holes. Aloe vera plants cannot tolerate standing water.

How about a consistently moist soil? Like LOS would be kept..

During the down time, in order to keep the soil thriving and even improving...I will be growing cover crops like alfalfa, fenugreek, mint, yarrow, and clover! They will be mulched in place, a.k.a. chop and drop. The soil life will be out of this world by the time I get another plant in there! EWC will also be a plenty! Might even try growing me some winter tomatoes :circle-of-love:
Lavender google the perks of lavender and cannabis interesting stuff

And here's the flower tent in all its beauty...havent been picking dead leaves as you guys can see, it became a never ending job where I would get carried away and start thinning everything out lol...so I decided to try the hands off approach and let them run their course!
