LadyGaea's Cannaversary Grow - Tangielope & Super Lemon Haze With High Brix

How’d I miss this journal? I guess 1002nd is still the front row at some venues. :ganjamon:

Just skimmed so far but looks great! I can’t wait to catch up.
Ohhh! Hey Doob...Welcome! No worries! Plenty of room here. Just a bunch of friends hanging out really. I get a bit off topic, but we have fun and do some serious grow stuff too! ;) I have been instructed it's my turn to run out for iced coffee! :ciao: Off I go! :slide:Enjoy the read:reading420magazine:...:nomo: and the coffee...and a bit of this...:passitleft:

General "Prat"...ahem...practitioner...wants me to see a shrink for my panic attacks! I have no problem seeing a shrink, but my adrenal gland and thyroid are now compromised because of extensive steroid use. That is what is causing the panic attacks. Excuse me when I say...WTF!! To everyone here with health issues...PLEASE remember that "You" and "I" are the ONLY ones that have a stake in our own health. It's just sad that patients often know more than the people that are paid treat them! Ok...done with my rant!
Interesting isn’t it how mainstream medicine still sees the mind/body-psychological/physical relationship in only one direction. They can only see that the psychology causes the outcome in the body. They don’t see that a physical condition or issue in the body at cellular and metabolic levels can manifest in behaviour or other seemingly ‘psychological’ phenomena. Did you know, for example, that teariness (crying a lot and easily) can be a part of an allergic reaction? Integrative medicine and other kinds of approaches get this. And more and more work is being done around it so studies and trials are starting to show it. Sounds like your Rheumatologist is onto it, and you’re onto the Cannabis so I know you get it sorted over time. And handle the frustrations along the way accordingly. (Either with grace, or with swearing  )

I’m trying to maintain a version of that diet too LadyG. Yup it’s tough! Mostly I miss pasta! Hey, check out Anna Jones’ food and recipe books. She’s been life changing in this house. :thumb:

:Namaste:

Thank you Miss Amy! Yup. I'll get there...and yup...I swear a lot! It's actually a sign of intelligence. I read that on the web, so you know it has to be true!

Multiple cultures recognize, and have for centuries, that there is a connection between the spiritual, psychological, and physiological well being. You can't treat one, and not the rest.

I will check her books out. Thanks for the tip! I did not know that about tearing up and crying as an allergic reaction! It does not surprise me. Food allergies I know can cause depression among other odd symptoms you wouldn't normally tie together. The body is very complex. It's pretty cool!

I like to use spaghetti squash in place of rice or pasta. I don't really miss too much of the restricted foods. It's just the first 10 days while your body adjusts that stinks.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend! :thanks:

Yes,...can u also fill up my cooler with more ice....thanks woman!:passitleft:
Sorry Duggs! The ice melted....Sigh...I got distracted again...:hmmmm::reading420magazine:

Snipped a little bud growing underneath getting squished...will dry it up a bit and give it a wee taste...yum yum Super Lemon Haze... Doesn't she look pretty?

Edit: Note there is not much in the way of cloudiness. Still clear. Got a ways. They are getting some GE tonight.

Check it out...This is a pic of my CBD Therapy after cure...in fact very well after cure... and on tonight's menu. It chills me out and gives me calm. :Namaste:
It's interesting to see the macro of a cured bud!

A few months ago, I read an article about gut biota and its direct effect on our brains - spooked the hell out of me. I tried to find it again, but I settled for a couple other articles:

Connections between gut microbiota and the brain

Gut and Gingival Bacteria: Game Changers or Innocent Bystanders in Rheumatoid Arthritis?

.

I LOVE it when you talk autoimmunity Grey! This is what I have been studying up on for a couple of years now. Pretty cool stuff, huh? The gut is the center of our body's universe. It drives the bus. I have not read these two articles before, thanks! I love seeing more and more of these articles surface.

My biggest regret is that I went to culinary school instead of becoming a registered dietitian. I was hoping to get a job at a local university which had a great nutrition program so I could go back to school in the evenings to finish my degree. I'm still trying. Man would I love access to their library. :)

Want to really get freaked out, Google fecal transplant for C. difficile colitis. Amazing stuff. Someone I work with had it done. It has a 80-85% success rate. Gut microbiota baby!

I thank u for those articles too Gray. I read the first one as i consume a lot of extra pro biotics every day. (Acidophilous and Bifidus...spelling?) and was curious what this article had to say about that. I'm under the understanding that most of our immune systems are based out of our 'gut' and it's highly beneficial to take extra .....especially with what we're all consuming these days. Since i started taking them about 5 yrs. ago , i have noticed , almost immediately that things in my gut were proper (sparing you's all the details...LMAO) Enjoy the day Gray , lady and gang!

Green days all..... Hey Lady, did you check out Amy's Lounge lately???
Hiya! No...I have been remiss of my journal duties...gonna check it out now though! :)

Well a few hours after getting my Ancestry DNA back, I found and have corresponded with a cousin... and a new chapter in my life has begun. My Mom was adopted and she had possibly a twin or a sibling that was adopted as well, mother married and had more children. All main parties are deceased except for the younger generations that followed!

Come Watson! The game is afoot!:yahoo: Who doesn't love a good mystery?!

:cheer::high-five: I have literally thousands of hours on Ancestry under my belt. Did my DNA years ago and found a brother to my Scottish ancestor who arrived here in 1650.

If you ever need help, let me know.

:Namaste:

Very cool Graytail! My uncle is a historian and retired history professor. He has our family tree on my Dad's side back to the early 1800's in Ireland. My Mum was the mystery. I have a jump off point now. Time for a road trip! :yahoo:
Edit: I was on the right trail too with my research. What took me hundreds of hours was confirmed with spitting in a tube and mailing it in. Now I can never commit a heinous crime...because my DNA is on file!

High Lady G, Duggan, MH, Amy, Lady G2. Hope I didn't miss anyone, lol.

First to thank Graytail for those links. I read a link similar a few months ago also. Like you, I was quite surprised also. Made me rethink what I ate. Now, I consider all food as medicine, which helps me to not go off track. Lost a few lbs., and feel a lot better, but still looking for "The fountain of Youth". I know, keep looking.

Next, Lady G, I so like your attitude on life. Keep going forward, and not turn around. Very good discipline. I'm glad you didn't give up cooking. I like your recipes. Thank you. Yeah, it's fun learning about our bodies. Good luck with the dietitian endeavor.

Great Green MONDAY to ya.... Hey girl, I dont know if you have heard, and it is too late for you but maybe not those who follow ya, All the DNA testers sell your profile to those that are interested... Have known that for a while, as I have a few professional Science types ( I will Leave that one alone) ... Just to make everyone aware that you give up your rights to privacy about your DNA period, unless you are with one of the reputable small companies.. You are Not my friend... Paranoid you ask ??? Yeah maybe, but I told people for years be careful what you post on those new fangled google text machines ( computers and phones) , for it never goes away... I have a software engineering degree and can program in all computer languages.... Dangerous world we live in, Just wanted to say it... Any way Green Days my friend, and to all
