Well...didn't get to the muffins today, but I did get to make some meatballs. I like to use ground cannabis because cannabis oil can leach out during the cooking process, along with the meat's own fats.
Lady Gaea’s Canna “Baked” Meatballs
Makes 30 golf ball sized meatballs
Ingredients:
2 pounds organic grass fed ground beef
1-1/2 cup of freshly ground good quality crusty bread
1-1/2 cup fresh grated Parmigiano-Reggiano
2 fresh eggs
½ cup water
4 cloves garlic, pressed in a garlic press or minced fine
¼ cup minced fresh Italian parsley
½ teaspoon of onion powder
½ teaspoon of salt
¼ teaspoon of ground black pepper
a pinch of red pepper flakes
3 grams decarbed cannabis flower . * I use a 10% THC & 10% CBD average cannabis for 10 mg dose per meatball. My calculations below. I'm a lightweight cannabis champion
! You may be a heavyweight!...Hey, this is a judgment free zone...but I'm a bit of a pansy! I said it...it's ok.
!
Whisk the water and the eggs together. Place remaining ingredients in a big bowl. Pour egg and water over the ingredients and mix well. You can use a mixer for this but I prefer to mix by hand wearing food handling disposable gloves. Form into 30 golf ball sized meatballs.
Brown all sides in a skillet heated with oil and finish cooking in your sauce.
Alternatively you can bake these at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes and drop into your sauce.
Here is how I calculated my dose. If you use a higher % of THC, you may want to alter the number of meatballs you eat or alter the amount of cannabis you use.
- 3 grams of 10% THC cannabis
- 1000 mg in a gram so there is 3000 mg of cannabis in the total recipe
- If your cannabis average is 10% THC, then 3000mg x .10 = 300 mg of cannabis per batch
- There are 30 meatballs…so 300 divided by 30 = 10 mg of THC per meatball
- If I eat 2 meatballs, I will get 20 mg of THC dose.
