LadyGaea's Cannaversary Grow - Tangielope & Super Lemon Haze With High Brix

HAHAHAHAHAHA got a good laugh at that one. You are so funny.

I was wondering if I grow catnip, does that cat come with it? hahahahaha

I'm a harry potter fan, more of a canna potter fan, but I'll take either one at this time.

I can't believe you have gone this whole time without meds for your tummy, ouch.

Plants are fabulous, and your pantry is so organized, wowzers! I would love to cook with you someday.

:)
Yeah...cannabis is such a help with the Crohns's. It acts as a smooth muscle relaxer and takes away the spasms. Waiting for my body to rebound from the steroids. I'm almost there. The worst is over.

I have no room in my kitchen. My dishwasher is on wheels so I can push it under my shelving unit which I have a lot of my pantry items.

It would be a blast to cook together! Wish we lived closer. Time for some BBQ sauce...! I'll post it in a bit. In theory...it should taste awesome! lol

How goes the woman work, i mean cooking my lady??? ;):green_heart:
Ha-ha! Well....to start... I trimmed and chopped up my 4-1/2 pound pork shoulder. I wish I had a smoker...sigh...but it's not in the budget. When we move I will get one. I made this dry rub
1/4 cup of coconut palm sugar
1 tsp salt
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp smoked paprika

I sprinkled it over the chunks of meat in a big oven roaster. Poured a bottle of Sam Adams Cream Stout over it. Covered it and put it in the oven about 2 hours ago. I just flipped the chunks and covered it back up... Now I am going to make the BBQ sauce.

More to come soon! BB muffins are put off until tomorrow morning. I had to run out this afternoon. Making them 2 ways at the suggestion of @G2HM. A regular version and a lower carb version;)

Sounds really good, a good dry rub is the way to go with or without smoker.... Cumin is really good for relaxation of colon as well... and it tastes yummy nice and nutty smoky .. Just to let you know a catering company that i worked at, had the idea of smoking ( food that is lol ) as dry rubbing your meat, cutting or not , then double wrap in foil... in a second foil take a few wood chips of you flavor choosing, theirs was cherry wood, soak in H2O for one hour ish, I did mine overnight... drain and put in second foil... poke a few holes in the top of meat wrap after sealed for baking, then wrap meat wrap in wood wrap with wood on bottom.. seal and low and slow, 325 ish for few hours till you like it... I come from a smoker based family so ehhh , but in a pinch... Green days .. sorry so sloppy on the directions just in a hurry have a 50 plus day I am trying to get some use outta outside . Maybe a little ginger if you got it, fresh of course...:green_heart:

Well the BBQ sauce was lackluster from a culinary standpoint. From a dietary standpoint it was at least better for you than the stuff you buy in the store and it passed as such. It needed some bourbon and some Worcestershire sauce I think. I might try to Dr. the rest of it and see if that does the trick. I'll post the recipe tomorrow. I want to let it sit overnight.

The sticky thing with trying to make things that are normally not good for you healthier...is you often set yourself up to fail! :battingeyelashes: When I say, "BBQ"....you say, "Mmmmmm. I like BBQ", and you think of a time when you had the best BBQ of your life. See what I mean? Failure!

Now someone that can't have gluten, because they have Celiac disease will absolutely go crazy for a chocolate chip cookie made with ingredients in their unrefined and natural state. Whereas someone else might say..."that cookie isn't the greatest cookie I've had. It's utter crap!"

My point? Take those yummy cheesy puffs with that orange powder... full of chemicals, and that candy bar with the crispy center and chewy caramel drizzled with chocolate...laden with refined everything and also chemicals. What about those pressed processed chicken parts rolled in something yellow and crunchy and then deep fried? Those taste awesome with that little plastic container of sauce that you peel the top off and dunk those golden delicious nuggets into. Hey...I've been there. I've eaten that stuff too! I'm 50. I've got more shit wrong with me than someone at 50 should have.

Something has changed over the last 50 years or so. We are our own worst enemy. We've poisoned our food supply with pesticides and genetically engineered crops for better yields, but did we consider what impact it might have on the environment or our genetics?

Whatever you do...don't get me started on the pharmaceutical companies and drug makers! There was a point I was trying to make before my inner "dog chasing car" self popped out to drive the bus. Point is...we have become a society that was tricked by food additives into eating foods that aren't good for us, but they taste damn good and we can't stop. We need to change our perception of "healthy food" by resetting our body. We do this by removing the crap.

This is a familiar story. Wasn't society also tricked into believing that cannabis was dangerous, habit forming, and would lead to a life full of degredation and despair! :hmmmm: Ummm...I don't know about that. I do know it sure helps me sleep better with no side effects the next day. If I sleep better, my inflammation is better, and when the inflammation is better, I move easier, and with less pain.

If you got down to the bottom of this rant...Wow! You deserve this :passitleft: and sorry. I try not to let this side of me out to play much! Lucky for everyone I'm sure:ciao:

I love the real you...rant on Lady...change the world through your truth...canna women's work is never done...:Namaste:

shhh...and buy smoker...hahahaha
 I love you Lady G. You make me smile!

Preach it, LadyG!

Maybe we could get a grip on the basic chewing and swallowing part, too - start with less of that in general. Diabetes is 'spensive. That's my rant.

My parents grew up in the Depression - this is a different culture - feels sorta decadent, and not the good kind. On the other hand, the past wasn't all that great either, People took sick and died of all sorts of things that never happen now.

:bongrip:

I've been taking mega vitamins, eating simply, and smoking cigarettes and pot for the past 40-50 years and it's been working pretty well so far. Go figure.

Tell it sister! You speak my thoughts.

:Namaste:

What you say is the truth though.

Yeah brother! You tell it too

 I love it! Yeah. I agree. My parents grew up in the depression as well. It is a different and decadent culture for sure. We have made great strides in medicine and eradicated some diseases and made others all but with preventative medicine. My grandfather smoked 4 packs of cigarettes a day and lived to the age of 81. Go figure! Maybe I will live to 98 . I can see myself in a nursing home now preaching about the decline of people's diets and the big "chemical conspiracy"!:rofl: Cheers Graytail! Have a beauteous day! :battingeyelashes:

pssssst... also next time use a really dark stout, Or oatmeal stout.. Pale turns out tart in cooking... or so I been told wink wink.... Go Tiger.....
Mmmmmmm! I like oatmeal stout!

Man...you had to go there...glyphosate?! Glyphosate...to utter that word near me sends me into a tail spin! ...mention that or Monsanto or Bayer. Then put me with some ignorant ass-clown who says it's a conspiracy and that they are perfectly safe when used properly. I used to work for a HUGE ag company...who I shall not disclose the name of but EVERYONE knows them. My fat ass they are safe! Oh...I am very familiar with this topic. Not this particular article...which is excellent but the way. And check this out! Disgusting!! I boycott all Monsanto owned/affiliated companies! Grrrr..snort. Sorry. Hubby calls me Mrs Hulk when I get pissed about this.

+1 LG, any time I go on a rant about this people look at me like I'm crazy. o_O

....Well, I might be crazy.

:roorrip:....Do crazy people know they're crazy? :ganjamon:

Calmed down now. BBQ sauce tasted better today with clean tastebuds. It will be tweaked in the future. Blueberry muffins are out of the oven...next batch later will be gluten free with natural sweeteners only. More fun to come...would be good to slather them with honey or maple canna butter...
