Lady G - Seedsman Sponsored Grow - Sweet Coffee Ryder

All this talk of water has me excited for when the darn frozen white water outside thaws....

I know the kiddos gonna love feeding the ducks and geese. May even make a little fisherwoman out of her :D

Good Afternoon & Morning Amy :hugs: , yah pretty chill here today. No complaints that's for sure. Just waiting for the ladies to wake up so I can get some pictures going. I am relaxed, just grateful to be alive and growing.

Wow cool beans about the wildlife there. I was going to ask if you could make a sound recording so I can listen, especially the frogs, they are my fav, but I love the birds too. My brain loves to figure out sounds, it's like a puzzle. But the frog song especially peeks my interest.

Hey G2HM... a little birdy stopped by bearing gifts! ;)

:thanks:

Everything arrived intact! A little bit of spillage but not much. The lady in waiting is much appreciated and you’ll be the first to get an invite when I journal that one!

I’m going to do a big photo update on the weekend so I’ll include some shots of my new swag! Thanks again!

*YAAAAAAAY, oooo could you post a picture here, that would be cool. Seedsman loves that I did a contest, they are sending me more stuff for another contest. It's so much fun to give and help others. Very fulfilling. Thanks DW, I was holding my breath. :)

I’ve always loved it on the water. Grew up close to the Ohio River and spent countless hours on the River.

*I love the water, it's very cleansing, but mostly just to watch the animals. I guess you would go fishing. I won a fishing derby once, caught 3 big bass, the guys were not happy, but they got over it after we all had been drinking. I love fishing except for the worms. But the peace and quiet, is very welcome.

My wife grew up with the ocean in her yard, basically. I was farther from the water but never far from it.

I feel this primal connection to it when I go back to visit. When you grow up around the water you don’t realize until you’re away from it for a period just how much it is part of your life and how much you take it for granted.

*If your wife grew up with the ocean in her yard, then that would make her a beautiful mermaid. :) I agree with you DW, water is gift, I like to take walks in the water, especially when the salmon are heading up stream. They just swim around my feet.

I know the feeling well.

*:)

Really glad to hear you’ve been having a good week G2HM. Update as much or as little as it works for you - we can be patient.

*You guys are soooo patient, with me, the patient...lol. Stop it brain! I am the eager one to update you guys. Thanks DW. :hugs:

*Yah fisherwoman, that is a great word. I'm excited too, all the small waterfalls are thawed here, it was 14 degrees (52) for US folks, with 39% humidity today, almost perfect for someone growing outside. :)

i love your brain, G

@Amy Gardner

i love your brain, G

*Awwww thanks Amy, I just imagined how beautiful she must be. Or that my grade 4 brain is being a child again. :)

*Yuppers, the contest DW won, was for the first person to show up in this sponsored journal. So noone even knew...hahahahaha, kinda funny. I have to think up a contest for the next one. I will let everyone know, and send you an engraved invitation my friend.

and yes - a sound recording... I have been thinking of this, so thanks for the prompt

*I will make music or something artistic with it. Sometimes when I visit the horses I record my sound walk and then listen to it when I get home so it feels like I'm back at the ranch and forest.

Good morning G :hugs:

its feeling nice and relaxed in here today... I hope your day is like that...

Nice story about the ducks PW :)

so true - our little piece of bushland here backs on to a pretty large wetland. It’s sooo beautiful and sooo active. At night there is frog song and so much activity going in in the Bush it’s amazing! It feels super quiet but if I record the ambience on any given day it’s actually ‘noisy’ all the time. If you tried to use it in a film as the background sound for a bush setting folks would think you’d really ‘overdone’ it! We don’t see a lot of the water directly but glimpses of it through the trees - sometimes when a big water bird (herons I think) takes off you can hear the wings flapping against the water and see the creature streaking across the surface, through the treees ... feels a blessed place to be living... and growing!

Ween is sure nailing it with DocBud’s kit - that’s pure ‘high brixy‘ frost right there!! And still so Iong to go! Imagine it in a month :slide:
Nice stuff @weenmeoff !
And nice share - I’m sure that brightened G’s days, it did mine :)

Aww, shucks Amy. Thanks! This is how I feel when I look at them. :yahoo::slide::yahoo:

My property is right next to wetlands that I helped create. There was a small creek many years ago that I dammed up and raised the water level by a couple feet so now it's more like a little pond. After a good rain, the water rushes through. Our favorite visitors are the bald eagles that come by to collect material for their nest which is right down the road, one of them anyways. The swoop in, land on a branch then fly down to the ground, grasping at the straw and mud while flapping their wings pulling the material from the ground, then they fly right over my head, talons full of straw and mud. It's really cool. We also see tons of heron/cranes, King fishers, fischers or minks, deer, coyotes, ducks (mallards and wood ducks), large woodpeckers, variety of Hawks, red fox, turkeys and I'm sure I'm leaving some off. In the summer, when the peepers all get going at the same time its deafening! It's a pretty great spot! I'll try to get some recordings too.

WOOOOOOOW @weenmeoff , that sounds amazingly National Geographic. I love that. I could picture everything you said. I love sound recordings it really perks up my attention and stimulates my brain. Anything animal or wildlife related, I'm KEEN WEEN! Now I'm so excited, I'm going to hear wildlife from all over. I have a recording of a robin's solo song, it's amazing. I love collecting feathers too, that is my fav too. I make things from them after I clean them.

Dr. Doob, okay you made me laugh, that is so cute. There are fences you can hide behind so you wouldn't be scared, I would take good care of you. BTW, my husband wanted me to tell you PEBCAC, is that funny, cause my hubby thinks it's HIGHlarious. Thanks for stopping by fellow tech geek.

Haha PEBCAC takes up 90% of my work time. Broken printers most of the other 10%. Then there is the 0.0000420% of problems that are the result of my code, which of course always gets blamed first. Not that I’m complaining, my job is pretty sweet or could be if I made more money.

Hello 420 Family & Supporters,:Namaste:

I would like start a new tradition here (inspired by @Ditchweed242). Because we are 420 family striving to grow our best; what would you guys think about posting pictures of the seeds you guys get from Seedsman here? :nomo:

Also, my week has been inspired from all the animals and wildlife that keep me thinking. No matter how much I hurt inside, I follow my teachings of…adjust, adapt and move on. Oh and keeping my head held HIGH, while I take the HIGH road, keeps me HIGH functioning…hahahaha, oh boy, seems my brain is word coding again. :high-five:

The one thing I’m proud of, despite having a broken brain, my heart has never skipped a beat when helping others. It makes me feel so good to make others happy. So I can’t be THAT bad. :):love::love:
