A Super Cropping Tutorial
First of all why do we super crop?
Here are some reasons.
Your plants stretched too much and are the in or above your lights.
Your running our of vertical space..no more room.
You want your plants to be even under your lights for better coverage.
Space limitations.
...
Yepper good to know just in case
Questions and comments are welcome. Hope this clarified Supper Cropping for you a bit.
Reps here too! I had already supercropped everything in the bloom tent except the Big Bud and did it a couple nights ago. The buds on the branches are already pointing at the light...awesome advice, brother! +reps!
i just did that last night to all my plants, but a bit different. i supercropped under each stem that was going to support bud growth above it. somehow, my plants are indestructible so i didn't worry all that much about hurting em. i figured super cropping each axillary branch would work better than supercropping just the term stem, but now i dunno. what's your take?
subbed! definitely sticking around for this one: i think i can learn a few things here.

there's lots of info out there on clones, man. most of which conflicts with other info. if it feels right, do it. that's the best advice i can give. unfortunately, i've been not listening to everyone's advice and my grow isn't doing what i anticipated so it's making things difficult and unexpected. but at the same time, defiance has taught me quite a lot about plant biology in general as it has forced me to google til the wee hours of the morning
when i cut my clones last friday, i didn't follow advice of sterilizing tools or dipping them in water til they're ready to stick in their new medium. i straight up cut those bitches off, tossed em on the floor and when i was done trimming, i snagged em up, rubbed the cambium layer off and split the end. dipped em in some rootech and shoved em in a rockwool cube.
easy peasy! its now weds and they look great.
these plants heal themselves faster than anything else on earth, i reckon.
it might sound ridiculous, but i'm doing what my plants ask me to do. if it conflicts with what a pro says, so be it. my first grow i did everything i was told to do down to the letter and it failed miserably.
just like marriage, brother. do what your wife tells you and it'll all be groovy. start doing what other people tell you, well... that's when you start getting in trouble
After doing my homework on supercroping, thanks for the links, information and encouragement everybody, watching Kandy continue to stretch and, even though I said I probably wouldn't, I did it, I supercropped Kandy. Eleven tops in all. A couple were too aggressive so I taped them up. Now my fingers smell like lemony Kush.
Now the three or four secondary tops are about the same height.
...your ladies said, "no, kushie. squeeze me just right. i promise it'll be worth it."...
you will be pleasently suprised with what happens with the supercroping kush that will make her crazy just like a little tug of the hair if you know what I mean(wink wink). its not just to control height it sends hormones rocketing to the damaged area and you will soon see good growth and node tightening IMO
Thanks Fish! She showed me she likes it rough by responding so well to being stripped. And, a tight...um... node spacing is always nice.
