Looking good. I am a fan of mixing led with cfls (if you hadn't noticed). I really think The white light emitted from the cfls helps the LED perform. My girls are still in the veg closet with my mars 300 plus cfls. I want to get my mars1200 up and running but waiting for my damn tent to come! Anyways they look great! Congrats buuuuuddy!

Forgot I wanted to share this!!!! So I was going through photos taken while I was backpacking and in Amsterdam. Granted this was almost ten years ago but the following two photos were taken at the Cannabis College in their very famous garden.

So looking back with educated eyes and what do I see??? Each and every plant under FLOROS!!! The big old CFLs are hard to miss!!!! Granted this was 2008 I believe so LEDs weren't being used like they are today. But here in Europe... HPS lamps are just too expensive to run... so much that even the 'Cannabis College' grew under CFLs. Just a funny little find I thought I would share with you guys!!

They are growing to the cfls I have the led at 22 in. Is that about right?
happy growing

Yes... I would say always start with the LED high like that ( even the NOT SO 'wimpy' 300) and make sure you got your fan really shaking the seedlings up and building up strength in those stems. Let them adjust to the led and you can start moving it down slowly. I started my my Mars 300 at about 24 inches and then slowly lowered it 16-18 inches. THEN... I transplanted so I had to raise the light all over again again to both accommodate for the height of the new pots and back the led off a bit while they settled into their new homes. I always try to make any changes extremely gradual. Drop an inch a day until u get to the recommended veg height for your lamp. For the mars 300 the closest Mars ever recommends is 45 cm (18inches) during late veg and flower.

The cfls you can get extremely close on the other hand.... I have mine set in movable arms like you and I will usually focus them on/around plants that are either growing in a funky direction or obviously need a little more light. I also rotate and turn my plants every 24 hours. In the morning I get some coffee and then do the rotation. I keep the markers in a corner of each pot and make sure to always turn each pot clockwise and into the next position.... snaking them around moving one spot to the right everyday if that makes sense. This way every plant gets the same light.

That's how ive been doing it. I will post my 3 weeks above soil pics today. Their growth is pretty damn impressive... even with transplanting and fimming done this week... I'd say they have almost doubled in size.

So sorry about taking over didnt mean to.

I took photos and put a copy of the manual I received with my 300 on your thread so you can reference it when you need to. It's in German but easy enough to figure out. I translated the distance recommendations and there are some useful charts in it as well.

All caught up on this one, do you still have discolouration on plants? If so try some calmag, they tend to need a little more of this under LED
I use this recipe, thanks again for this one
Emmie's DIY CalMagPhos+ From Eggshells

Ive been using 1ml per L throughout whole grow and touch wood no issues so far

Thanks for Joining me on my journey monsieur manic !!!! As you can see I have had quite the learning adventure already. But thanks to a few great deals on eBay and some great support here on 420... I have managed to grow some pretty awesome plants so far.

I don't know if you read the posts regarding my water quality. My ppm is around 300-350 with major concentrations of calcium, magnesium, and lime. I live in Italy and the water is sourced at the mountain springs. Bad for my plumbing but GREAT for my babies!!! I have used BioBizz allmix + perlite and that paired with my very lucky 6.0-6.4 ph calmaglime tap water has been very good to me. That is the only reason I haven't reached for the cal mag under my leds...

I no longer have any discoloration issues and looking back I believe it might have been my own doing. I used H2O2 during propagation and early seedling stage as a last ditch attempt because my seeds were old and very hard to crack. I believe my H2O2 mix was to blame for the small discoloration (bleaching) issues I had. It makes the most sense. Cause:effect.

So you are just in time to see my 3 weeks above soil update!

Alright everyone! Thanks to all who have joined me on this journey so far! A lot has changed since I started this journal about a month ago. I had a lot of hurdles but patience and determination has prevailed :) So today we are at our 3 weeks above soil update!!!!

I was really hoping to have my Mars2 1200 set up in my new (to me) tent by this update but bargain hunting on eBay has its hiccups and although my beast of a lamp is ready to burn... my tent is taking its sweet time making its way.

The plants don't seem to mind though and continue to flourish in their veg space with just the 300 and 3 supplemental CFLs. I also decided to name/label the gals. A-I with endearing female names.

Unfortunately I do not have space for all 9 after up potting last week so Imogen is still in her starter square. I don't want to give up on her but she will be stunted. The tent will be here by next Wednesday at the very latest so... she won't suffer much longer. I will probably use her as my LST training plant as I am just focusing on fimming and pruning on my main gals. Going for a sog feel with this first grow.

So here's the pics. I took a lot but I am one proud Mama and since I named/labeled them this week I would like to have reference pics of each plant in my journal so I have something to compare later. They have literally about doubled in size this week. Ready?

All of them...

So... by NEXT week I should have the tent up, mars 2 hung, and maybe some early signs of sex!!!! But... patience is key. The girls haven't been watered since I saturated them fully upon transplant but they aren't asking for water just yet and the big squares still have some weight to them. I want those transplanted roots realllllllly reaching for that water at the bottom of the pot.... Hope you guys enjoyed the picture show :)

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to visit my little garden!!!!

Much Love and May Mother Mary Jane bless your Grow!
