Yo..sucks to hear bro. Big black yucky...big. CAtepillar.....little black dots...could be small catpillars. I've read thrips (look like small grains/specks) gather at the base of a branch & under leaves. Just what I've read. I ve also had someone send me a natural...milk..yes milk...concoction supposed to help with powdery mildew ... not sure bout mold but I'll ck if you need! Good luck and peace brother!! :thumb:

Gessh penny . Bud rot is just from allowing it too much to dry correct
? And too much salt build up on soil can lead to bud rot? Any other ways ?
 
Its mainly the buds holding to much moisture. Rain is a big culprit, after a rain you need to give them a big shake to get the water of the buds. Never foliar feed buds or spray them once they're beyond the midway point of bloom. Keep those buds dry as possible.
 
Been doing some googling and found this:

THC vaporizes at around 365 degrees, most mold vaporizes at 100-180 degrees Farenheit. Put it in the oven at 210 degrees for five to ten minutes. Should cure it of most of the water, and all of the mold should theoretically dissapear, or at least be "dead", while the thc will remain, un-vaporized. Mold spores are what is harmful when inhaled. I've eaten moldy bread before, and inhaled plenty of mold while scrubbing crawl spaces. Its a risk but I'd say its less a risk if you nuke it in the oven first to make the mold no longer "active" or viable. i'm no doctor or scientist tho. at your own discretion and risk

I've also read that H2O2 can kill mold as well as doing the water cure. It seems mold likes moisture and air, not full-on soaking.

Maybe try a different technique on each bud and see if one works better than the others.

It's cool so far only two buds were affected from what I could see. Removed both buds monitoring closely next few days .
