I actually trimmed them fans and leafs off the plant then snip snip and wash hang brought out the big totes for bud washing . Now I wait

Hey speaking of....I know there are several viewers here that wash their buds....when I washed mine there was almost no smell at all to the flowers after wash and initial hang dry. Is that typical. Smell is coming out now with cure, but I was surprised that there was none after washing. It was a little scary. Lol. Just wanting to make sure I wasn’t too rough on them last time. Lol

My tut smelled lightly but the pineapple chunk was strong the whole time. It might differ with chemovars?
Did you notice an excess of tricome heads in the buckets after wash? I am surprised at how little is left behind from a good dunk. I was really hesitant until I examined the remains after my first wash. Minimal loss at best.
Sometimes it can be hard to see though if the buds let off a bunch of dust & dirt during the wash.

I used h202 lemon juice and baking Soda then rinsed as I don’t make the strength of cleaning agents strong . Less Is always more to me .
I rinse once and shake well after each cycle of cleaning and rinsing .

I may just go a little easier on the next round. I wasn’t banging them against the sides or anything but I was pretty vigorous.

Yeah outdoor prolly not enough room in the fridge, just sayin.
If you wanna hang dry then trim and into containers. Let the branches or plant however you have it hanging, and let the buds get dry or mostly dry.
Don't go by that snapping stem thing, you wait that long you will have grassy weed.
I trim off all the fan leaves then let it hang until the sugar leaves are a little crunchy then you are getting close. If you don't have dedicated time to trim and who does, once crunchy sugars, you have 2 days to put the weed on the trim table, thats how I do it.
Basically anytime you have time after the sugars are crunchy. You have about a 2 day window there. The longer wait the easier trim job. A fan helps if your RH in the drying room is high-ish. It's not real critical - room RH - unless its over say 70%. Get a few small fans going if the RH is high and blow them right on the plants. Use the little 9" fans not a box fan or anything big.
You got this.... its an important step. Take your time and feel and smell your girls!

The smell is Terpines (mostly). It's an alcohol (with that -pine ending to the word). Very volatile elements. They evaporate and oxidize very quickly.
I've found harvesting early in the day to promote more terpines.
Water and oil (terpines) don't mix (at room temps) so washing them in cool water won't effect the terpine profile.
Ruff is good (in cool water). My girls like me when Im cool n' ruff. You should have similar results.

Okay so looks like around 2.5 ounce dry for blue dream close shaved zip of shake off her .
