King's Outdoor RD2 Open Journal

I wonder about a vacuum jar attachment for the sealer. Have you tried it? I'm thinking it might be a good idea. Some folks are doing it.
I have that attachment, and black tinted Mason jars... Sounds like a recipe for success. I'm gonna give it a try with my current harvest.

That's another thing too. If the jar is at 60% or whatever your fav rh is, then why a boveda if there's a good seal. The moisture should keep. Am I thinking wrong?
I dunno I think it’s so suppose to help maintain desire humidity and there are better for long haul storage to me. Howe eh like penny I am going to see if I’m happy with the way I explained above and will test a cure with boveda 58% my like for rh

I'm leaning on success for my guess. My question is: If a boveda is in the vacuum, will it tend to want to release more?
I don’t think so it’s going to go off your bud and how good a seal I would assume

It seems to keep the buds on the moist side, most of the finished product I've done with bovedas has the same smell and taste. I dried and cured the Brookies in turkey bags without bovedas and it has so much more flavor I'm going to continue playing without the bovedas.

This is interesting. I do the same as you. I have a few jars that are oldish and seem to have gotten dry even though the boveda is still soft and seemingly good. I haven't put the hygrometer in to see but I must. Sweetsue says it's natural decarboxylation happening with time. Bud gets tighter(shrinkage) in jar. My hygrometer's in service now so this is for the future for me. Until then it's boveda's for me.

If the moisture is there and a good seal is too, then I don't see the use for the bov's. I have to be missing something

They were good, I think bovedas got popular because harvests were overdried or under dried. Bovedas will balance it out somewhat. I'll just pay close attention to the drying process.

I'm also starting to realize I don't like these 62% packs. Buds are too wet for my liking.
This Bubble Gum harvest is gonna cure without them.

58% been saying for years lol

You could but it'll smash the bud but it would preserve the terpines.

You can do it without crunching.... takes a little practice. IF the machine you have and a vacuum seal button and a seal button 2 seperate buttons, hit the seal button then when the air is gone hit the seal button. The machine will stop sucking and just seal it up.

KJ - Congrats on the harvests... HOME RUN bro, outta the park! Good job.

I bet its stinky in da house! Great job getting wife to help trim, I got that once. Now I just get the look, and "I'm going shopping". :ciao:

Bud washing, yer working OT in the gardens. Good to see. Your friends gonna be happy in a few weeks. Good job buddy.

Here's where the 62% comes in. Long term storage. The 58% is for short term ready to smoke. If you use them long term the weed will be grassy taste and smell. My .02

I have my smoking containers with 58% and long term storage with 62%. If I wanna puff some outta the 62%, I get the vaporizer out. Cant smoke the 62% in a joint but can fire up a bowl or a bong. All we need in some fire.
