Ok I have a 3.5'x5'x10'high closet, it has a power outlet for lights. I could close it off for darkness insulate the window to keep out the cold. I will have to figure out the startup cost, it shouldn't be that much and I have a grow shop in Southwick for the lights and whatever I need they also sell products from our sponsor's. 1 plant maybe 2 in small pots to keep it manageable. I would grow in soil because I think it would be easier to do. I cannot check tomorrow but Friday is open. If any of you can tell me what is needed for startup. like light some nutrients and the like I will look for them. This could happen. Gotta go right now.
@Sierra Natural Science 5 Star Grow Kit 19.99 has everything you need from seedling to harvest including pest control.

I think either FFOF or FFHF is fine in the whole pot, and FFHF is cheaper if that matters. And how big the pots are depends on all sorts of things like how many plants he wants or how big he wants them.

In a 3½ x 5 foot area you could easily do three 5 gallon pots and fill the space, probably four.

Ventilation is the first concern when sorting out a closet grow area, along with light-proofing.

For your growing medium I use 50% Fox Farms Ocean Forest and 50% Fox Farms Happy Frog on top in 5 gl. grow bags but you can get away with a 3gl. I would think. Any suggestions Shed?
I think I would go with the smaller grow bag I do not have a lot of room in this closet, and I want to keep the plant small so I can manage it. In any case I have lots of time to figure this out, Any suggestions are good ones. I will start looking Friday. I am getting excited. I can do this I know I can with all of you guys help.

I can block the window to keep out light but ventilation is new to me, Hell it is all new to me.

I like ocean forest on the bottom because it’s hotter and as the plant grows bigger the roots find the ocean at least that’s what was explained to me. Idk? Maybe I was told wrong?

OF has more built-in nutes, none of them needed in a synthetic nute grow and not enough of them in there for a water only grow.
Yeah but for the first couple of weeks it’s just watering because the nutrients are still in the soil.

With short plants you can grow in spaces under 6', as long as you allow room for the light and the any ductwork that might be above it.

Is smell an issue in the house?
Not to me but my wife maybe but she loves me and wants me to be happy.

I know plenty of folks who feed on the second set of true leaves in OF, so I wouldn't chance it.

If you need smell-proof then you're looking at a more expensive fan/carbon filter combo. If not then an inline booster fan and some ducting will be fine.

You will need to cut holes somewhere though so I hope her love is strong. :thumb:
