BB Definitely slowed down drinking, trying to figure out a way to chop this weekend. Been going 140 days need to make room in the tent for the next project.

I cured the bcp in the closet I have my tent. I actually left them drying too long, when I tried to cure them humidity was 50%. I like curing my buds in oven turkey bags. I ain't got time to open 20 Mason jars. To help with the low rh I threw a piece of romaine lettuce in the bag for a few days to get the humidity to around 60 and they are smelling DANK and my boy @weenmeoff was right, potency coming around with a cure.

Just a lil tip. If your hanging buds, trimmed , but still on the branches, like most do, and you check them, only to find , they have overdried....don't pannick. Just take them off the strings ,..or watever and put them into a big green garbage bag. Leave some air in the bag...seal it up for at least 12 hrs.....check it. More than likely, it has re hydrated cuz of the moisture , still in the 'sticks'. This method has not too long ago worked for me. Two different strains drying...one dried faster...woops. Cheers eh.

I remember you had a trick, I just cut the buds off of the stems before I checked the moisture whoops. Probably could have thrown the buds in the bag with the stems anyway.

No, that won't work properly. When the buds have been left on the sticks, the moisture sort of bleeds out thru the buds, making them more hydrated from the inside out...not the outside in , as with an orange peel or pc. of apple in a tobacco pouch. I was quite happy to witness the effect. I had about one pound that got too dry , so i tried it , and when i checked the bag after work...presto , was like magic.

Congrats on the harvests.

Looking mighty fine buddage. Good job.

Drying is very important. I've fvcked up before and lernt lessons.

I hang dry the whole plant. There's moisture in the stalk that keeps the flowers alive for a little while. Enough to slow down the drying a little bit if it's dryish in the room say >50%RH.

We can also have a problem drying if the RH is too high as well - this is more of a challenge than too dry (always humid here). Can loose a harvest to mold on the line = panic.

I hang dry whole plants, cut off at the crown (soil line).

Hang upside down and trim off all the fan leaves then onto drying line.
I usually add a small fan and change direction daily. This helps with even drying and keeps mold away. Usually takes 5-7 days on the line then is trim party. It's important to me when to take down and trim.

I wait for the sugars to be almost snappy, peel one back and if it snaps off without cutting I need to start trimming.

I've tried several ways to dry. This one is the easiest I found and gives me a little wiggle room for trim day. Produce is ready for market pretty quick with a short cure, if that's a thing.

I put all my flowers in 1/2 gal mason jars with a large 62% Boveda pack. Check back once open sniff... leave open or close, check 1 more time next day and the flowers are good and ready for market in a week or more. Can leave in jars for many months and still fresh.

Boy, the BCP buds look great though! :rollit:

Couldnt have said it better!
Beautiful buds, truly, KB. Glad to hear your buds are coming back around and your enjoying them a little more than you did at first :thumb:

I’m all caught up and looking forward to BB’s chop. Any indication if this is the BB plant you’ve been looking for? I know you said you’ve ran it a couple times and they ended up not having the aroma you were looking for b

No, the seedsman BB is NOT the ultimate BB strain for me. I've chopped her and finally got it into a bag to cure, rh sitting at 65 in the bad so hope to get some pictures soon. The BB plant has great structure, resin and weight but I'm just looking for something special in the smell and taste categories and not getting that from this strain.

Will keep you posted on the BB from Phoenix so far it smells amazing

:thanks::meatballs:

Hopefully it keeps it during the cure, couple of times I would get a gassy BB smell during flower but after chop it's no where to be found.

Part of my issue may be that my nose may not work properly. Sometimes I smell something very sweet and mention it to my better half and she's like what are you talking about that is something dead

So what are the BB strains you have tried KB?
I've only grown the seedsman version twice, still pretty new to growing and due to space limitations can only grow 2-3 plants at a time.

I have like 50 other beans I need to run so probably should stop wishing for the holy Grail :meditate:

If you like sweet smelling indica - Check out Mandarin Zkittles.

I have a strain going now - Jellium from the same seed company that smells like cherry cotton candy. Plant not very big tho. Her sisters were all cookies smelling. Those are in the can and home run with my friends.
