KB Follows The Hi Brix Road In DBHBB

Hi KB and Gang :ciao:. Just caught up on this journal. Nice read. Congrats on your CBD plant. It looked very good :welldone:.

Mind if I follow along?

I work in telecom and more specifically fibre optics here in Southern Ontario. Have worked all across Canada.

Within the next few years any town. Village etc will have fibre built to residential homes. Last to be taken care of unfortunetly will be the rural communities. 60mbps is enough for most people’s households.

Although some homes are able to be serviced at anywhere from 250 to 1GB/S with all the new demand for 4K streams.

I live in Milton,On and I use Cogeco. Pay $79.99 per month for 125mbps. Usually around 30mbps upload.

Not a bad deal but not amazing. Just need to find a KODI box or something like that and stop paying for TV and all the PVR boxes. That’s where ur $85 bill turns into $200-250+.

If anyone wants any insight or help regarding telecom I’m your guy. I’m 30 now and have been doing this work since 17-18.

Used to be a competitive gamer and many of my friends went pro.

Medal of Honour
Diablo Series
Counter strike
Everquest
Warcraft + Starcraft.
COD
Halo
BF

All great titles.

Lol I only golf. Play Clash Royale and grow now. Used to fish 200 days a year from age 10-25. Down to just a dozen outings a year now

I like how your using the Riot Cubes to begin the seeds. I’ll be starting my first HB grow around Halloween once the soil is done. Now thinking to get some cubes or just do the layer of Promix on top.

Until then ill just be soaking up info and following the Brixer’s journals

Have a nice day KB and again good job with the first run in DBHBB.

So nice that there is a great core group who follow and help. What I see here on these forums.

Welcome my dude! All are welcome, and I think you will be very happy using the kit. It's by far the easiest method to grow I've used.

I would love to have 125 download speeds. I'm at 5mbs and bill is normally 115$ so basically highway robbery, oh and they put a 150g limit on it o_O.

I'm digging using the rapid rooters directly into 1 gal of cooked soil. Some have had seeds digested before, could be looked at as natural selection but beans are precious.

My journal is pretty slow and I'm still new to the kit, but check out others journal's most will have DBHBB in them and are always willing to help.

When you finally get a journal going let us know. If you build it, they will come.

Thanks KB glad to be here. Yup I’ve got 0 doubts in the kit. Or this community. Just myself .

Looking forward to watering less frequently. I grow in Promix so the medium won’t change just the HB amendments. I use EWC also but maybe not at the same % Docs Kit is using.

I’m with the guys saying beans are precious. I have about $1100 worth on hand. Friends keep buying me them as gifts lol and I can’t grow them fast enough. I’ve only ever done glass of water 8-12hrs. Then Paper towel in ziploc bag until taproot is there. 9/10 in my experience.

I’m worried if I go right into the 1Gal pot with the seed it will get eaten half the time.

It’s ok slow and steady is the best. With so many Brixer’s and Journals we all need those lulls to catch up. Once I’m in grow mode I’ll find it harder to follow 30 threads.

So far I’m hitting up every HB grow I see

Yeah it can’t come soon enough. Soil is cooking as of last night. Sweet, and I know you guys will come! Have seen enough threads to get the jist of the kind of awesome people that are around here.

Best of luck with the new babies KB and thanks for the warm welcome :adore:

Happy growing,

Hey Wrenn! I've been dropping seeds right in the soil and have been very successful. Close to 100% and they come up in 2.5-3 days! Never before have they come up that quick so I love that. I have had a few deformed seedlings but not sure if that is from the soil. There is a method, if your interested in trying, let me know. It's written at the start of my journal and I got my info from the doc/dark journal.

:ciao::adore: hi Ween that’s reassuring news thanks. Heck I’ll just man up. Follow the format and see what happens. Atleast this way if anything does mess up I’ll be able to actually get rid of some of these seeds. Thanks for the motivational push I’m such a pansy when it comes to growing pot. Can’t wait to actually get the kit growing down and be able to experiment!

I really wish the summary for that blog was working when I started. It was a ton of pages to look through lol. That whole switch over was a mess .

Just so you know it's customary that for the first hi brix grow you post your beans and we all vote and pick what you will grow....

Nah I'm just kidding haha, but for real feel free to post pics of them or anything in my journal so I can :drool:

The soil won't eat your seeds.
I bought 6 kits worth and had 1st run soil that I cracked seeds in for about 10 months, then at 12 months I went to crack some more and the soil did indeed eat 8 out of 9 seeds. Some others have not had this problem even once, couple others of us have.

I would say don't worry about it for 10 months, to be safe, if you still have soil left cooking for over 10 months then use the rapid rooter in the soil method.

This was very recently discussed some in... I think it was Docs Q&A thread. You might bounce over there and see what everyone had to say.

But for now your good.. :peace:

Word. You guys always know what's up :high-five:.

I will say, doc always recommends starting the seeds in the 1 gal pots. No paper towel method or soaking them, so the tap root will be good and developed by the time you see that seedling pop up. :rollit:

I do the pre soak ,paper towel method...always have with great success.I know Doc doesn't do it that way but...but...it works well for me...just sayin ok!
Oh..and btw...as soon as the seed splits...just a little..get it into soil...dont wait around looking at the tap root come out....get it planted.
Tell me, has the snow started for you yet??

We had two weeks where temps were in mid 70f and I was so excited I didn't know what to do with my hands.

Yesterday was back up to 95 and I cooked like bacon from working outside.

Mornin to ya Killer....nope...no snow yet but it was frosty out this morning. Kind of glad actually...it will get my gr temps down some which will help my ladies finish properly.
If only the northern part of the world didn't have 6 months of winter I think I'd like to live there. My skinny bones cant handle real cold.

Lol I’m open to that. I’m super picky about that strain I do grow with this HB kit.

It’s got me wanting to buy even more seeds for land races and more pure genetics. I think I will go get some Durban Poison and Afghani Kush. Most of my current seed stash is auto flowers as that was what I was growing. I saw a couple autoflowers done in Doc’s Kit and will likely try my hand at that aswell.

Thx OL I’ll likely run into that situation where my cooked soil sits for months and months on end. Only running x4 7gals in my wee 3x3 until I get a bigger tent and lights.

It’s $2500 roughly for that new 4x4 or 5x5 so I’m in no rush.

Cool atleast I know I can also do it the way I’m used too, thanks Dugg.

Got the soil cooking the other night. My back is mangled. I picked up some HSO Rasberry Diesel Fem Seeds. And Mango Sapphire. Still debating one of those strains or the Lemon Kush Headband from HSO. What do you guys think? And any experience with HSO?

Stay warm if ur up here in the North. It was quite nippy this morning for sure.

Happy Friday Fam :green_heart:
