Kalashnikov fem

I got this stuff from pro mix with coco. It works perfect I find. You don’t NEED to feed it till it’s about dry but you can feed it without overwatering because it has such good airflow. Should likley do a thing about it on my journal I got it by accident when I meant to get pro mix hp instead got pro mix hp cc and decided to give it a go. Awesome stuff.

I tried promix and ended up going straight coco. Its so simple to use.
Coco and air pots you can grow monsters in couple months.
But you should up pot. Seriously you will be rewarded.
Look at my girls.

Ill see how these go over the next day or 2, I'll order omegazyme to add in my current feed watch the ph/ppm. I germ a few more seeds and use little cardboard pots to start them off and just cut them off when I replant

While there this younge would that be a good idea? I'm pretty sure I just had a dampening off issue but I think that is my own fault. I can't say for certain that this was the issue, im still relatively new. All I do know is I dont want any more falling over lol because of this I think I had been over cautious of the amount of water I was giving them, this run.
"Damping Off" disease was what I thought it might be from the way you described it. Maybe a photo if it happens again and someone can recognize the problem for sure.

Either they just dried out, or you have some sort of root disease going around.

Other than drying out completely, root rot is really about the only thing that makes them fall over. So it’s one of the two, IMO.

Usually root issues are associated with overwatering, which can also be aggravated by cool temps.
Coco is pretty much impossible to overwater but I usually go easy on the seedlings anyway out of habit.

<cut>
I read an article or two that 'Damping Off' and many root rot types of diseases are the same thing. Root rots start in the soil and move up to the stem and sometimes the rot starts just above the soil line and destroys the strength of the stem.

There are all sorts of opportunistic fungal issues waiting to happen. At least there are in my environment, and it used to make cloning difficult. It doesn’t seem as likely to happen in coco but I’m sure it’s possible. Still seems like more of a chance that the sprouts just dried out- but no way to know from here. I’d try experimenting with the watering but order some bennies as well

I wonder if its bcuz my ph pen needs collaborating. Something hit me last night so I had a quick look on google and I checked so already boiled water and it was all over the show managed to settle down at 9.5?? I haven't done it myself a friend done it last time do I just add some solution in the car and adjust the screw to 7.1 rinse the tip and do that again with 4.1

So I must have distilled water for the rinse? With the buffer solution do I add it to water or adjust it in just solution

Don’t know how to calibrate that pen you’ve got, mine is a blue labs but for coco yes ph matters greatly. Remember coco is considered drain to waste hydro so 5.8 to 6.2 is your goalpost.

not sure if you are messing with my head or talking about other seeds but there is a seedling in the pics you posted
I also have 2 auto pink grapefruit that seem to be doing ok atm. That might be were the confusion is, or I have germ'd 2 packs of kalashnikov just no success. No matter what they drop within the first few days. My ph pen is no longer any good and I live rural areas so it will be a few days before I can get another. I'll just grab a blue lab not sure if I should go the truncheon or metre/pen, I was using the Milwaukee ATC but between cycles it must of been damaged or dry im not 100% sure. I still remember mixing up my res when it still worked fine so I'm going to wing it atoeast 1 tank and try to keep the auto seedlings going until a metre arrives

Think I might need to try some fresh coco. Been 4-5 days since I planted the 2 Auto and I haven't seen them yet.
That first photo in msg #28 does look like Damping Off hit the plant.

Normally I would say that old coco is not the problem but if it keeps happening to seedling after seedling then maybe something has gone wrong with the coco coir and anything else that might be mixed in. Trying to sprout some seeds in a new coco mix or soil might be worth trying.
