Justin Goody's Sponsored Journal: Featuring NextLight & Dope Seeds Gelato & Zkittlez

Thanks for the Tag. I'm interested in how you're adding all these things to MC without negative effects. When I use Terpinator & Sweet Candy at the same time I get issues so I want to see how you do this for sure. I haven't added Silica either which I've been considering. So I have a little to learn here. Look forward to your grow.

I generally will only add 1 “extra supplement” at a time, and I never go above 6g total now (so with 5g MC, I’d add 1g or less of SC) and I rotate them. Silica early to help branching, SC or Purpinator in mid flower (both have K and P) and then Terpinator at the end (K only).
I have encountered several problems when overfeeding them, generally Cal lockout due to high Potassium, causing leaf spots etc. very common.
I learned growing my Wedding Cake that MC doesn’t have to be maxed out to achieve awesomeness. Some plants just want less, and they usually tell me with plenty of time to adjust. The beautiful thing about MC in autos is how fast it works. Adjusting of a dose only takes days to see a real difference- just don’t be afraid to back it off when it wants you too.
Anyway, glad you stopped by, and I hope you see something that helps!

Now that everyone is here, I will get the pics caught up a bit more.
Also I hadn't mentioned yet how easy the seeds sprouted and started, which is always a plus when choosing a breeder (and half the battle sometimes) 2 for 2 is a great start!
I've been pretty lucky in my time here on the forums, and only had 1 seed fail completely (Wedding Cheesecake) and the rest have all been winners, not without a few struggles of course...but these babies want to grow!

A bit of variegation showing on the Gelato, but that's not uncommon on seedlings. Looking fabulous otherwise.
Hope everyone is enjoying their week, and killing it in their grow rooms.

Nice light setup and seeds selection @Justin Goody.

GL with your grow; I have not try growing auto's yet, but will follow along to see how they come along.

I have auto's seeds, just haven't done anything with them yet.

Thinking about coco, but soil is not out of the question.

Right now, I have been doing DWC, but always will to learn other way.

Soil would seem the way to go for me; since I normal have a productive veggie and flower garden, oh well.

I will be stopping by to see how your are progressing and to learn new things.

Tok..

Good to have you here. Lots of good info on autos around this place. I used to do DWC as well, still have never used coco though. Many growers here with good info on that type of grow. If you want to learn autos in soil, just keep it simple and follow along with any of these auto growers. It's amazing what we can do together.
Off to the races already, look at em go!

so now that your pics are caught up, what day is it from seed?
That last photo is Day 12/13 depending on when you start counting. They seem to be off to the races, always a good thing to see them reaching for more light, and drinking all their water.

Following.

Just started my first autogrow ever, and I'm trying to do it with organic fertilizers and soil. Let's see how this goes....

I planted mine in the soil and within 24hrs this is what it looked like.

Quick question: How long do you usually go without watering the seedling? I feel like the Happy Frog soil im using is pretty moist already, and using a humidity dome doesn't let it dry out much.

I wasn’t on the guest list, but the dude at the door let me in for a doobie. But glad I haven’t missed the show. :rollit:
I'm terrible at guest lists, I promise everyone is invited!

Nice job getting it started. I don't have much experience with the humidity dome on seedlings... I like mine to be totally exposed to their daily weather and draw their moisture from below. If you need great advice on watering, this is the place to start: Emilya's link on properly watering potted plants
Thanks for stopping by!

Hey, @parrajara. You didn't ask but you may want to consider removing the humidity domes since the seed has surfaced. A lot of times the little seedlings can't handle (or just don't like) that much humidity. :Rasta:

I agree there. Let it stand up and dry out a bit and let the roots get established. Too much moisture invites a plethora of problems, worst of all being damping off.

it's clones you want to dome up not seedlings. a lot of newer folk mistakenly think both want the extra humidity. it's only clones that benefit.
