Just made the flip!

No. Looks fine. How are you circulating the air. Do you have an extractor fan?[/QUOT
yeah I have Rhino carbon filter for air extraction, though for air intake, that will be Next weeks investment ! U see im renting a flat so just cant go cutting holes in the closet doors lol.. gonna make a new door and cut hole for intake. this way I can just put old closet door back on when I move out which will be in few months. Im at home alot of the time as I only work part time so every hr or so I try my best to manually get air into the closet (better than not doing it at all I guess) surely it would be better to have the humidifier in the closet? was looking at a smaller one on amazon, it would fit im sure. do ya think would it be cheaper to run? my power bill is already way up..im worried the power company might get suspicious. i know it only holds small amout, but I cud always run a pipe in bigger water basen outside closet. what ya think.

Excellent. The power company doesn’t give two sh@ts. The only way someone will bother with you is a) because you told them or b) smell. Even then it’s the not the great train robbery is it?

Does the dehumidifier look a bit big?
If it does the job run with it your plants look happy that’s priority #1 happy plants lead to a happy grower
:yummy:

Haha u chaps are funny, two very well made points. Since earlier i have now set the humidifier at a setting where it just comes on every so often.. Humidity has been nice and steady between 50-60% with temperature around 21degrees. I cant run it at nte, it would keep me awake all nte lol.. My new place will be 3bedroom.. Marj Jane will have her own space and privacy :) Looking forward to my pH pen arriving Monday to see what readings are. Thanks guys for the help

I’m not sure if you’ve mentioned when you water? I believe you want to do it just after the lights come on vs just before they turn off. It helps avoid humidity spikes?

Also, I have no affiliation with this site though have found her info quite helpful.

Hey thanks for dropping by and commenting. Yeah its taking the plants 3 days to take up all water in pots, i do water first thing when lights come on. Since i last updated this, the biggest plant is 2weeks in flower, think ive made the mistake and left to many small tops form on the two biggest branches that i had to. Bend over, i recently pruned out branches underneath that weren't getting enough light, ive been told since its bad idea to prune during flowring, Is this true? Should i prune some if these small tops out and trim more? What u think guys?

I just cut the larger fan leaves that were shading bud sites. I’m also trying to keep the lower 1/3 clear to increase airflow and decrease LARF. I’ll prob keep at it all through flower as I’m not too aggressive, even though it feels counterintuitive. Here are some guides I’ve read.

Yeah there is so many different trains of thought on the subject of trimming, some argue not to be to aggressive,. As those leafs are still feeding the bud branches that they are attached to. Trimmed again this morning anyway, took another ph reading from run off and its 6.7 now, either know i used pH down to and have the feed at 6.2. Oh well i will just have to pH little lower next feed then to compensate. Have u a grow going at the moment?

I do, the journal link is in my Signature. You may have given me a topic to look up today as I may be a little too chill on my pH? I’m in soil so runoff isn’t all that useful and I use Vinegar to lower as my tap H2O comes in at 7.8. I don’t check it after adding nutes for 2 of my girls, the others are in pots with supersoil. I know that was another topic with folks on either side for/against rebalancing after adding organic nutes.

Here are a couple pics of my attempt to defoliate and allow more light to the lower buds.

Nice mate, they look good, gonna follow your grow. Has super soil got microrizal it? What about trace elements? Ive beem reading alot of good reviews about adding rock dust to soil.. Volcanic and basalt. Any thoughts

I haven’t gone that far just yet, still challenged by watering and how much GO Box to use!

Here is the SS I used.

Organic Super Soil Concentrated Strength
Yeah thats nice soil. I bet it saves alot if cash not having to buy liquid fertiliser. Do u still add perlite? Think i will try that for my next grow. Thanks

Ideally I'd pick up some FF Ocean Forest to use with it. You fill 1/3 of the container with soil, then pour in the SS to mix with it, then add the rest on top without mixing. The good stuff stays at the bottom and the plant takes what they want.

I'm rather lazy in that I start in my final container. I know everyone says you have to use incrementally larger ones over time though I don't think I've had any issues thus far. I just water until it looks like I cover the size of the plant within the soil and they go off on their own. Organic soil has some nutes in it so it seems to support them until the roots reach the SS. The plants I've harvested in the past all had nice full roots taking up the entire space of the felt pot so I haven't felt the need to change the practice.

This is it chap, as the saying go's '' if it isnt broke why fix it '' you certainly know your shit when it comes to soil.. Do u still have a need to add cal-mag to that muxture,? I done some more trimming today on my plant, will post picture tomorrow to see what you folks think. Thanks again for the input

I don’t think so, but I’ll watch the leaves. It is a little strange that a couple leaves on the Pak Chit Kush are turning yellow. It is prob half the size of the Kandy Kush so wouldn’t think it is lacking any nutes as the Kandy is fine. I believe I’ve given the same amt of water so maybe I’ll have to watch that more closely. The common things that can go wrong, are common so maybe that is it?

Little update, so i done final trim on plant one, its now at week 3 of flower, its more airy looking, can see right through it. Im little worried though ive taken to much of now and damaged it a little. My reasoning for this is, both plants were on same watering cycle, but now the plant 1 isnt drinking as much as it was.. Its 3 days since last feed and container since a heavy to lift, she hasn't drank much!! I thought they sapose to drink more when in flower not less.. Maybe its just a little bit in shock?.. Not overly worried as it still looks ok. Here some pictures, thanks for any advice
