Jon705's Multi Strain HPS LED Hybrid System

I thought I would mention that the fugicide from Sierra Industries does not work at all for Botritis so anybody that is dealing with that shit, get something else, I ve sprayed my outdoor girls down 3 times with the stuff and if I didnt know any better I'd say it acted more like a fucking fertilizer for it than a killer, same goes for Wilsons Defender...garbage! Does anybody know of a product that works for Budrot? I think I ll be cutting them them down and packing in my outdoor growing carreer, ive lost the battle 2 years in a row to botritis, this just isnt a good place to grow outdoors. Theres even budrot on some of the leaves...never seen that before.

Ya know jon, I've been thinking about this very thing, I think these life forms can only live in a narrow and very specific pH range. Like a yeast infection...can't we alter the pH and get these things to die? I'm havin some too, but I think the baking soda/lemon juice wash may kill it. Just an idea I have.......no research done.

I feel your pain brother.....Between the bugs and humidity I cant grow anything outdoors in the summer either. My best crops (veggies) are in early spring before the heat and bugs set in. After that forget it. I can usually get plants in the ground in late feb early march, I get a few good harvest and by June they are totally wasted. Bugs, Rot, disease you name it.

No worries Jon. If anyone understands where your coming from its me, no rush bro. Im happy to hear about the growth rates with supersoil that's amazing, best thing about organics is you can charge more woot woot!

Your area is an amazing geographic location for outdoor growing , strain selection might be the issue... My buddy Vom in Quebec likes to grow tons of varieties outdoors and his most successful plants are his autos and his region is a lot like yours. He likes to cross a lot of strains for outdoor use primarily as he is a "Overgrower" the plants he developed seem to be extremely mold and disease resistant but they are not the most potent specimens due to the genetics he uses. They are still quite potent plants though nothing to shake a stick at for sure! He let me in on his primary breeding stock , Suomi hemp. He takes strains that are extremely potent but susceptible to mold and disease in outdoor settings to stabilize them for outdoor growing with Suomi resistance and often it creates extremely large plants with crazy yields... I imagine he spent a couple decades perfecting his art and I bet he struggled doing so and contemplated giving up too... But he stuck with it and you should too because you are a gifted grower just bein hard on yerself. Heck I dunno how many outdoor plants I faught with over the years myself , tell myself the same thing to just give up but something happen to me , I gave up being fussy and I just nurture here n there instead of swooning over them , sorta letem go wild and take what I can get.... Sorta like a lottery haha but my tickets are plants , some win most don't but at least I have a chance hahaha

Like I said I am no expert so anytime I say something take it with a grain of salt , I would hate to waste someones time with bunk advice!

I have 3 Northern lights out there, that strain was specifically bred for this climate and all 3 of them have rot on the leaves as well as the small nugs, I had 120 autos outdoors this year and they all got budrot too, and this was in august. There was only 1 week of summer this year, its been cold and raining for the rest of it, its getting down to 5 degrees at night right now, bad for mmj great for budrot...

baking soda didnt work bro, not only did it completely stop new growth but it turned all the pistils prematurely brown and the rot was back a week later, maybe I have some kind of super rot strain or something lol...needless to say im losing interest in outdoor around here, kills me to know how much work ive put in just to see them rot away, i ve got better things to do...

Wow brother, that's a lot to sacrifice. I really feel for you. It's not like we can pile on the chemicals like with trees, shrubs and flowers.

I walked outside yesterday and noticed the Sego Palms has several branches totally covered in either whiteflies aphids, The Crepe Myrtles turn black every year from the aphids. My Parsley was consumed by 17 caterpillars in two days. Cut worms on the carrots, leaf rot on the tomato's......

Mother Nature sure is a bitch sometimes!

I'm making a list jon, and when the harvest is over I'll call bro and talk to him about the rot.....I know he has dealt with it....I saw him throw moldy bud away!

Hey jon,

From using it for a week or two and your best educated guess, You think that COB LED light you got would be sufficient for flowering in a 3' X 3' grow tent? They are giving it a coverage area as 4'X4' but it only is 200W and every other LED I see out there is at best 2' X 2' for flowering in coverage areas. Yes this is newer technology, but it just seems like a pretty optimistic coverage area for flower, more like a coverage area for veg. Just would like to know what you think. Appreciate it!

I really hate that bitch sometimes lol..it sucks but I managed to pull off a decent auto grow outdoors this year, im really not sure what im doing next year, my neigbour has a plant in his front yard that doesnt have any rot at all, im thinking that because the greenhouse is right beside the forrest that that is why im getting so much rot so I ll probably move the greenhouse right behind my house next year a good 150 feet away from the treeline, hopefully this helps:)

Hurry!!

I would say that the core footprint is 3 x 3 on this light bro, it vegges a 4 x 4 no problem but your right, in flower you need more light, I think it would do very well in a 3 x 3 space for flower. I saw it with my own eyes bro, that litle 200w light vegged 4 plants in that 4 x 4 no problem and they are just as big as the other 4 that were under 2 400w MH, it rocks!!

Hope your not overmedicated today. I probably would be if I had that fire you got right now!!!
Ummm...whats overmedicated?:tokin:all day everyday brother:)

hey bro how u doing? just so u know i've been aquitted at trial :)

As for the rot, i think its a bad idea to spray anything to the area. I think the moisture exaggerates the problem. ive tried many diff spray solutions including the sns and not one of them helped, it always seemed worse. IMO i think cutting out the affected areas helps the best.
