Jon705's Multi Strain HPS LED Hybrid System

Thanks for the info guys! I am reading through one of your earlier journals Jon, do you still find 85 degrees and 40% RH to be a good spot for your plants? I am doing a soil grow so are the nutrients you mentioned ok for that? Also you say Co2 is best for sealed grow environments..I like the sounds of sealed growing then I wouldnt need to get involved with intake and exhaust, are there cons to running a sealed grow environment?

The cost of your utilities is a con to a sealed room, but to really have all the control sealed is best IMHO.

Thanks Mcloadie, im glad im helping out a bit bro, what mix did you end up going with? is this a guerilla grow or right in your yard? is building a shelter over them, an option? Lots of rain sucks at this stage bigtime..ive had 4 days straight of thunderstorms and torrential downpours, my neighbour had a hgk in his yard and it got beat up pretty bad lost a main branch yesterday. The heavier the nugs get the more delicate the plants get bro, covering them would really help protect your babies not only from damage from wind and rain but it would also save you money in the long run because everytime it rains your going to have to spray again, especially the fungicide, when it rains alot of that moisture will get right down into the nooks and crannies of the nugs, they can stay wet for days after a good rain fall, all this moisture and humidity is a perfect recipe for mold, just the really high humidity alone is what caused the budrot on my auto's this year, I wish I would of built the greenhouse in the spring, they probably would of got to finish if I had, hope this helps bro:)

LOL...20 plants....hidden right out in the open........you would laugh if you saw where they were....a perfect spot...many plants grown here...never a crop....it's minute by minute.....more pics soon!

any sinthetic nutrient line will work just as well in soil as hydro bro, im running a much cooler room now, 75 daytime 65-70 nightime and the rh is the same at around 40%, I like this alot better and I think the girls do to. If you decide to go with a sealed room you would still need a carbon filter fan combo for a "scrubber" it just cleans and circulates the air in the tent, you also more than likely would need a portable dual hose a/c unit to keep temps where they need to be, even with an led panel, if you go this route make sure your a/c has an independant dehumidifier so you eliminate the need for one in your tent taking up precious space.Sealed rooms definetly have benefits though thats for sure, theres little chance of pests or spores getting in there unless you bring them in(I always shower and change before going into my rooms) theres no air being vented either into your house or outdoors that can cause unwanted attention. Its totally up to you wich way you go but I 'd be glad to help however I can when you start setting things up:)

Thanks Jon, I will definitely have more questions for you as the set-up begins to come together! For the time being its nutrient research and waiting for ordered items to be delivered.

Im on my way over to have a look brother:)

I'll get some pics today......the spray is supposed to be there today, now I have to time the spray for each area cuz I don't want sun on em til that spray dries. I was over earlier...nobody did shit!....branches falling down from weight.....I found two more worms....I hate alcohol and lazy bastards, it would have been easier for me to grow these plants by myself...you know jon......the only thing I didn't do to this grow was water it....and I find wilted plants all the time....bitch bitch bitch...I need to stfu and grow weed!

I found these tiny little worms in one of the tubs of supersoil, at least I think they're worms, this is a supermacro shot they are maybe as thick as a strand of hair and a couple of millimeters long, anybody know if they are a bad thing or are they just worms?

they look like predatory nematodes... could be good ones. Do a google image search

ok...theres alot of different kinds of nematodes, these look like soil nematodes, are they bad in any way? are any kind of nematodes bad for my girls? I really have no idea what they are lol...

I buy them to kill fungus gnat larvae feasting on my roots. I recall threads talking about nematodes that damage plants but I never looked into it. Odds are they are helping you could buy some predators and let them feast :cheesygrinsmiley:

their to big to be fungus gnat larvae,

when you mixed the soil has it been sealed after so nothing can get in to lay eggs, having a mix like that around would be humid and attract all types of bugs, im sure sub did his in big bins and had the lids on tight so nothing could get in,

so im not 100% sure what method you use to mix it up but i remember someone doing it with a big bag and ill have to go back and check if that was what you did, if it was sealed up after then i guess it can only be something that was in a product you used and hopefully its not harmfull, dont you have any veg lying around you could just put on top of the soil and see if they start eating it, slice a potato up and put it on the soil like you do when you have fungus gnats, if their going to attack the plants and roots then they will be all over a sliced up potato, at least then you will know if their living off the soil or the plant matter,

i would find out before planting just in case but a simple potato test should give you a good idea what they are likely to do.

you dont want to be adding chemicals now you spent all that time mixing and waiting for it to be ready, you could do with a big press and put the soil in then squash it down to kill everything in the soil, it will only kill larvae and bugs the microbes will still be ok, but its finding something to squash the soil in as it would need pressing pretty hard to kill everything, then would need breaking up and mixing up again,

you know what i think they look like, i think the look like worms you see near ponds and stuff like that, could it be mosquite larvae, im sure ive seen something like that before,

Jon I have two SS400 LEDs right now I only have one on while my plants are in Veg would there be any additional turnin on the second one before flower???

:peace:
your good for now bro, whats the core footprint on your lights? looks like that tray your girls are in is around 20 x 20 inches? a 400w panel should have at least a 3 x 3 foot footprint so until the plants take up more than that you only need one light on:)
