Joe Goes Perpetual With Autos

Good morning everyone. Today I have 2 years off meth, heroin and alcohol....

Great news.

Sorry mate I was late getting to ya

Not an ez task I'm guessing .

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate it the love. If I had known I could be successful with cannabis to maintain sobriety years ago I could have saved myself a lot of misery. Thankfully I have found a new way of life that is proving to be successful.

High Sobriety is what the kewl kids kall it. .

I can't decide if I wanna get a the DWC or a dab rig and gear. Both will be about 50 and like I said I have a gift card. Idk guys. Guess I'll take a poll. Should I spend my Amazon gift card on single DWC or a dab rig and gear. Bear in my mind I've never grown in hydroponic AND I've never done a dab. Thanks guys.

I decided to get the DWC. Now I got some homework to do. Anyone know any journals or links I can follow to get done tips. Merry Christmas everyone

Hey there Joe! DWC is great. Rider509 is a good one to check it out. OntarioGro17 as well. Stltoed has good info too. I'm doin DWC now and it's my first time. You can check out my journal (look at recent posts after clicking my name). I'm learning a ton as I go and from the community. Good choice!

Thanks for the info. I came home from visiting family for Christmas and stayed 1 day longer than I had expected too and came home to some unhealthy plants. That's when I decided to get the DWC. I have a ot of homework to do, but I'm super stoked to try my hand at hydro. Now I have to decide what to grow in her! Here's some pics of the tent when I got home last night. I did some backbuilding on the NL AND WW XXL. The WW is a 75 day strain and the NL is an 80 day. They are both 62 days today. Tonight I'll start them both on AN Overdrive. Also, the GG and OG KUSH photos have poked their lil heads out too.

TBH I'm not sure yet where I'm going to use it. I'm trying to do some homework and figure out the best way to start seeds with this method. More than likely it will end up in my closet and I'll probably run a photo and 1 auto just to try it out and see what I think of it.

I should have gotten a top-fed system and I didn't.... Idk if I'll need to make it into a top fed or what? How do the cubes get water until roots develop?

Heres what I do. I start the plants in soil and when the roots begin to grow I remove them from the soil and clean up the roots a little. With about an inch of hydroton in the bottom of the net pots I set the plant in with the roots touching the hydroton and fill around the sides until the net pot is full of hydroton. Make the water level in bucket so its just right at the bottom of the net pot. With the air pump turned on it will keep the bottom of the net pot wet and the roots will grow. When the roots come out the bottom of the pots into the water just drop the water level to an inch or two below the bottom of the pot and your stylin. I never top water.

So I could use 1 of these ladies I've already started in the promix? What's the best way to get them out of the soil? How clean do they need to be? How old do they need to be?

If your going to be removing soil from roots you will want to make sure the roots are well established. If you do it with too few roots you run the risk of destroying your plants root system as some of the will probably break. I would think 7-10 days should be long enough think of a solo cup and how the roots start to curl near the bottom.

I have seen a lot of people using rapid rooters or rockwool cubes. Once you see the roots starting to emerge from the cubes just surround it by your medium and keep it moist until they hit the reservoir.

Sure you can use one of the ones in Promix. When your ready to change let the soil dry out a little. Place your hand over the top of the cup with the stem between your fingers and turn it upside down. Squeeze around the outside of the cup to loosen and remove it. Then just remove as much soil as you can with your fingers, they don't need to be shiny clean.
The plants are pretty sturdy, I've always done it this way and have never lost a plant yet.

Heres a picture of the day I moved this one from soil to rdwc. I'm not sure how many days that was but you get the idea anyway.
