Jinn's Coco Hempy Harem 2014

I am glad you got your meds bro:)

you and me both man.

Turns out this Blue jack is a mix of jack herer and blue dream.
The smoke is a bit harsh, and theres not a lot of flavor to it, I think that has more to do with the dry/cure process on the vendors part.

Happy Nude year to all!

Morning from the east to the west:).....How did that BlueJack work out for you Jinn?.....i know you said it was a little harsh.......the ak47 i picked up from my buddy the other day was a little harsh as well so i been curing it in a jar since i got it.....maybe its me but it does not seem as harsh now.....maybe you could give it a go if you have enough that would matter:)

Hey Jinn, hope all is well. I've been away a few days so missed out on journals.

Happy new year buddy! Best wishes for 2015
Happy new year my friend, I hope the next 12 months are filled with fun, family, and a Fantastic garden!

It would require more work than its worth to be honest. Since its been poorly dried and poorly cured.
But the blue jack was definitely more of a 'im fucked up' than 'thats good medicine'. Now after seeing the genetics, I think in the summer I'll have to do a blue dream cross myself, but with something like Jack la mota, or critical jack h. I think I'd do a little bit better breeding, and phenotype selection.(not that Im trying to say im a pro or anything, I just love me some science.)
And the smoke isn't too harsh if I run ice water in bubbler as opposed to room temp.

I hope everyone is having a lovely day!
I just checked on my girls and both CSSH and Pineapple Chunk are starting to frost on their buds and leaves. Going to give them another feeding today, maybe get pictures up if they perk up a little this afternoon. (you know how they get when they're hungry, droop a little and refuse to get perky until two or so hours after eating. its like they don't want cramps when praising the sun god haha)

I am thinking about trying the silver nitrate spray on my Blue Dream to see if i can get some seeds off her.....Chronichemphog is pretty successful with the spray.....maybe take some of the pollen and cross with something else i have going:)lol......i have to do more research on it though cause i basically know nothing about breeding:).....

Highly recommend you veg it out for a good long while, and take as many clones as possible.
Experiment with the clones, leave the mom alone.
The three most important things to remember when it comes to breeding:
Proper note taking and labeling
adequate space for all of your spawn to conduct a pheno search.
Attention to detail. (for both pheno searches, and finding balls here they shouldnt be)

other than that you've got the breeders bible I sent you ^.^

Well,
after the girls were fed I got in there and did some trimming. The canopy was so dense on CSSH that leaves were dying in the center of the under growth. So I cut out all of the dying light deprived growth, and through bending and light defoliation I was able to get a little more light penetration to the center buds.
Pineapple Chunk has clumps of excessive vegetation and small weak popcorn bud trying to get established at the base of the plant; so thinning out the clumps and nipping the popcorn in the bud was my course of action.

I will get photos up in approximately 3 1/2 hours, hopefully the girls will have recovered slightly by then.

Sorry again about the CFL bleaching in the photos, one of these days im going to get a switch for them.

Thank you very much!
And as far as additives go, for this grow I'm sticking with azomite, silica, molasses and cal/mag. My next cycle in the summer, I'll be going with a different nutrient line up and an entire additive set.

Girls are looking wonderful, jinn. Nice bud growth and density. You are using azomite on this grow, right? Do you think it would work in a perlite grow? I went to their website, but all the info is for soil, of course. I just wondered if you had used it in soilless (besides coco). Keep up the magnificent work.

Thanks for all the kind words my friend!
Im going to be 100% honest with you, its something my grandmother used in her rose gardens, so I didn't think twice about adding the azomite to my coco/perlite hempy buckets.
There is seriously nothing out there on its uses in soil-less mediums but I will say this, since Ive been using it I haven't had any deficiencies. And more importantly it hasn't shown any ill effects since I've used it.
It would appear it does work in hempy ( i cant scientifically verify this claim as of yet, I will require testing two clones from the same mother) as I'm using the cheapest nutes I can and not running much in the way of additives.
I mean the Lucas/h3ad formulas and some cal/mag and silica are hardly a reason for my girls to be this happy, especially since coco and perlite don't bring much to the table nutrient wise on their lonesome.

I wish I could give you a concrete answer Too Old, but that'll have to wait until this summer when I move and have 'lab' space hehe.

I am so very happy with CSSH, for a freebie this blew me away.
I will definitely be integrating it into my breeding program in the future.

Currently, I'm just waiting on my other 4 plants to bush up a little bit so it looks like I've got green carpet in my tent, like your garden mono =p

Hope everyone is having a splendid day!
