Here are some thoughts:

If I averaged 1p/p this year I would be skipping down the road everywhere I went. I need to average about 7 or 8 oz per to at least skip some of the time. If I somehow average like 4oz per i would die a lil inside though :(.

However the Chemdawg that flowered early which I keep losing branches on has already yielded about 3.5 dry and its still got like 6-7 left on it I think. It was one of my smallest plants too. Just for some crazy reason the buds are HUGE. Wish they would all bulk up crazy like that.

I got these purple kush and purple pebbles though smokey. The term dense was created because of them. They really are some of the densest nugs I ever seen in my life. and considering half my grow is purple pebbles and purple kush, I might just pull this one off. We at the home stretch, few more weeks and shit will be harvesting like crazy.

I got some cha ching. I dont think i really need it though. The guy at the store just gave it to me. With my 30 Gallon per minute air pump my compost tea is wicked. Yeah thats right 30 GPM. Average fish tank pumps are like 0.3 GPM or something hehe. Its powerful enough to make compost tea in a 500 gallon tank.

I got a dilemma. So I keep thinking imma be harvesting the one chemdawg that started flowering like 70sum days ago and Paula who also started 70something days ago. They are both ready as the buds are huge on both lots of the hairs are turned color (around 40-60%) and they both have ambering... sorta.

Both plants have amber, but just on sugar leaves really. I am hard pressed to find any ambers on actual buds. On the buds its like 1-2% amber, then like 95% cloudy and maybe 1-3% clear. But then on those I see every once in awhile a sugar leaf thats crazy amber like 40-70%! I aalso see this occasionally on plants that are only in week 3-4 like my Bubba OG, most the buds are cloudy or clear, but then i see rogue leaves that are somehow like 40% amber lol.

I know i probably shouldnt give a fuck about the sugar leaves and just focus on the buds trich color. But part of me says "yo WTF its at almost 80 days flower, cut those bitches down!" Then the other part of my says "Hey no fuck that. The trich color is good and the buds keep on getting bigger, so leave em."

I just do not know which voice in the head to listen to. Cut em, or leave em. I have been going straight water on both for like 3 days now. The chemdawg although its not very dense, the biggest buds are over 4 inches across. Biggest buds I ever seen in thickness before. Then Paula well we all know about the crazy dense nugs shes got going with that 2 foot cola. And her lower nugs are like little pool balls and almost as hard.

So what do you guys think? let em go at least another 5 days maybe even like 10 or 15 days? They call Chemdawg a 9-10 week strain, its been over 70 days of flower by now though. Paula is a seedling, but has sativa like leaves with indica sized nugs and a inbetween branch structure.

Ill go get a pic of each to show you guys what i mean, there is one nug on the chemdawg that is so freaking fat...

its hard to say for sure, but some indica strains dont turn amber, the sugar leaf might turn amber as the trichs start to die on them but on the buds if their still getting moisture then they might just stay cloudy, if you flush before harvest then that does seem to start turning the trichs amber, but ive had an indica that wouldnt go amber at all, it just kept staying cloudy with no amber at all, so it might be yours are doing the same as this, unless you have grown the strain before then its hard to know for sure.

whats the breeders flower period on them, have they gone longer than the expected date, i know most of plants plants go 2 weeks longer than the breeders estimate, you know the plants ready at 100% cloudy so as long as you got that then the plants ready, but i guess you want more of a couch lock affect so looking for the amber

Well DP its not so much that I worry about the trichs being ready as they are basically all nearly cloudy. Its more that the terpins may not be ready yet, or and possibly more importantly that the buds are still growing in size.

I would hate to chop when doing so means I lost a fair bit of wieght and didnt gain anything from chopping.

Last year I grew the chemdawg D, it was amber in parts, but then again i might have just been looking at sugar leaves not buds. I didnt realize its the buds only you judge by and that sugar leaves can amber way earlier and way more. TBH I quite possibly harvested the Chemdawg last year too early.

fair enough, the leaves tend to turn amber quicker for some reason, i guess as the plant uses up the nutrients in the leaves it must cause the trichs to start to degrade, if the calyx are swollen though you shouldnt be their far from harvest, i find they tend to only swell during the last 2 weeks of flower, i have had one plant not produce amber till much later and this was because it was foxtailing, so just kept on getting bigger and bigger

Happy Totesday J...you got trics degrading..even if its on sugar leaves...i would cut..taking in the fact,.trics will keep degrading during cut ...trim...and hanging..as long as the hangings are green..the buds are alive and trics are degrading..just my thoughts...focus

Here is the thing though Miwa, I looked at some leaves on my bubba kush, it was only in week 5 max but probably only week 3 or 4. It had some sugar leaves with like 40% amber lol. And I know that aint even close to finished.
