So weirdest shit ever. One plant has signs of spidermites all others are fine (but i sprayed them all with a hose anyways) Its Paula, But the weird part is that she is in exact same spot as the two Og Kush I had last year which were the only two plants last year to havbe spidermite probs.

So I ordered 1500 ladybugs online because i cant neem Paula as she is in flower big time and isnt reveging yet either.

At least I saw some lacewings in my greenhouse... but then again i saw a grasshopper and butterflies. So its a bug war everywhere!

Where is my backup from the local crew of gheckos, wasps and mantis? Are they leaving me out to slaughter with just the trusty lacewings to back me up?

Last year I had local lacewings, spiders, and mantis fighting for the just cause. Is this year the year the world of cricket buddage gos down in flames?

Captain Jack's Dead bug. safe to use up to one day before harvest. organic too!
but it will kill your good bugs too

It dosent have a taste?

I know for catapillars you can use BT up to harvest day and it dont leave a taste. But for w/e reason spider mites love weed.

dead bug has spinosad. it sure fixed my bug problems

Oh also there are 6 plants that are really flowering heavy. The rest are reveged or never flowered.

Paula OMG you wouldnt believe the smell. It seriously smells like someone crossed weed with a plumeria (flower used to make hawaiian leis), then dipped said buds in sugar/honey water. Must be the purple magic.

Oh and good news. Many of my plants are already bigger then the very biggest plant I had last year. Last year the biggest was an OG Kush (mainly cause it took like 13 weeks to finish flowering) It was like 4 feet tall about 3 feet around wide. This year I got a chemdawg that is like 5 feet (but not quite as wide) Then there is a few purple kush that are about 4 feet tall 3 feet wide, and paula is about 5 feet tall (but not as wide).

However with many many months to go still i am confident there will be big buds to go around .

yeah for veg neem works great. i found it to be really nice as it not only kills bad bugs but it also kills fungus like PM. But it leaves a harshness on buds and probably a lil taste (its more the harshness id worry about though).

I might give the captain jacks a try if needed. Im sure the ladybugs will rape those spidermites once i get them. and for the next few days while i wait for them to arrive I shall spray paula once a day with the hose to knock off extra mites (they hate water for those that dont know)

Yeah i had found them yesterday. The problem with arbico is they charge you insane amounts for shipping. The minimum is 13 bucks just for the shipping. I ended up buying some off amazon for 14 bucks for 1500 with free shipping.

i HAVE ORDERED FROM OTHER PLACES, BUT HALF ARE DEAD. ARBCO ARE 100 ALIVE . i GOT THE 4500 SINCE SHIPPING THE SAME .MIGHT AS WELL GET A BUNCH. I BOUGHT FROM A GROW STORE AND THEY WERE ALL DEAD. So right now I am brewing up a new potent compost tea. Gonna be fish guts, compost, and seaweed mostly. Very tasty

Also gonna give all plants a fresh topping of compost

Once my girls go outside, I start using Azamax. Azamax kills some bugs and then it repels the rest. It works very well, however it ain't cheap. I give it to them every other watering. Just another idea for you and your bugs.

Once my girls go outside, I start using Azamax. Azamax kills some bugs and then it repels the rest. It works very well, however it ain't cheap. I give it to them every other watering. Just another idea for you and your bugs.

Dosent it leave a taste? Its basically just neem oil. Do you foliar feed it?

Hi Buddy, I can't taste anyway, but no one has complained about taste to me. I've used it for a least 5 grows.

No, I mix it with my regular watering, every other watering.

Big Irish Dude and a few others have a way to get rid of all kinds of unwanted things and tastes after harvest and it makes total sense to me but I have not tried it yet.
after harvest and before you dry take a pan of almost boiling water and submerge your tops for about 30seconds and the into a cool water bath like they would with green beans and the like. agitating in the cool water to remove critters dirt and other unwanted things.
don't use ice water but very cold water. B.I.D showed how the color is improved and the flavor is improved.
just a thought
