Sooo new light setup in top part of grow cab (flowering) will be using bottom for vegging my next grow soon.

pH still just above 6, watered again today but did not flush.. just some runoff water and that is all.

Then some shots of the growth, seems like we're getting somewhere now.

approximately day 45 of flowering (day 30 since pistils started showing)

Buds are getting a bit fatter, still not as much as I would hope.. any chance they'll get bigger over the next 2-3 weeks anyone?
At least they're starting to look pretty, and the smell is coming along as well, up until now hadn't any real smell, it's still confined to the inside of the cab though, don't smell it in my house at all.

I now have a bigger space for the flowering on my next grow, along with more lights and more to be addes during my next grow.
Veg cab almost done setting up, getting it ready for my next grow, seeds busy germinating, so soon a second journal might appear, will be much better executed than this one was.. sorry guys my first journal is sloppy

Ms. Droopy still getting worse I think.. will it do harm to keep flowering her or might I need to harvest early? Or should I keep her? Most of her pistils getting brown... And not really fattening up..?

Day 50ish of flower
Trichomes appear glassy still, read somewhere that in order to have the highest level of THC you should harvest when trichs look more like a plastic than glass, but not turning amber yet: amber being more of a couchlock than an energetic high. So I guess I'll be keeping an eye on them daily in order to track the turning of the color.

I think I'm still a few weeks away from harvest though... Ms Droopy and the other plant only just started showing trichs ahout 2 days ago.. no idea why they're so much behind the one in these and previous photos.

Made myself a loupe out of broken binoculars, seeing as I couldn't find one in my town and couroer delivery was just way too expensive an option.
Works perfectly fine, but I don't have an actual loupe to compare it to. I used pieces of an 8x30 binocular.

Buds are suddenly getting bigger! I think I have about another 4-5 weeks or so of flowering, which is perfect because I just started a new grow and hope to have this cab fully set up by the time they go into flower. Hopefully I'll have some smokable bud by September.

Droopy's pistils are turning brown faster.. still no real bud density on her, not sure what I'm supposed to do with her. For now I will just see what happens. You can see her on the right.

I've defoliated them again slightly.. I think I might have done too much on droopy.. but she wasn't doing well anyway so I guess I'll test out stressing her, she most probably won't really yield much. I've removed practically every fan leaf she had where stem was accessable.

Should I flush them again? It's been more than a week I think since last flush. pH shows to be 6.7.

My thickest bud so far is really coming along nicely, or at least better than I expected.. it's not great but it's something.

And it's something I grew, and it's something I will smoke

I usually hope the flowering stage takes as long as possible rather than feel impatient. Every day is fatter buds covered with trichs. Except if the plant is sick and I am hoping to harvest before the devil PM takes them, or something like that.

Will update with new pictures in the morning. And you are 100% correct, they are still getting bigger, a bit fatter and shinier. Trichs are getting milky now though so I'm guessing another 2 or 3 weeks... Maybe less maybe more.. right now I just hope I get a decent amount of bud from my first grow.

The only reason I'm eager is because this will be the first time I can smoke something I grew. Very excited

Very nice setup I'm liking the concealed cabinet. Did you make that yourself ? I too am novice grower and I love seeing what similarities between us in terms of mistakes/lessons or just plain old impatience. Lol foreal I feel like a proud, overprotective parent.

So we're on DAY 65 of flowering ... give or take a few

Here they are, all 3 of my cannabis plants basking in the light that makes them put out.

I've somewhat fixed my heat issue, since removing the filter at extraction and bumping my fan voltage from 12V to 15V for both fresh air in and extraction fans.

I was even able to put back my 4x 4000K bulbs and keep the temperature at about 80F (will be removing them though as I want the temperature lower... I'm guessing less light is better than heat stress). Might keep in 2 bulbs if that helps the temp go down to an acceptable level.

It's surprising (to me at least) how much my buds have grown in the last 30 odd days.
Remember this picture on the left? That was July 7th. On the right was a few minutes ago!

This is the same plant, looking pretty snazzy! Happy to have this one going strong!

Unfortunately the other two suffered more than this one from the nitrogen toxicity, and well...

Looking good bru. Still a little while for them to go. Scheming since this is an outdoor strain they will flower a bit longer if it was grown here in SA. We love out outdoor sativas for sure. Getting nice and frosty too

We do love our Sativa, will have to agree with you fully.

I'm doing one more outdoor bagseed grow after this (currently about 20 days veg, but lacking behind. Had some issues with overwatering large(r) container after transplant.) but next time, hopefully, will be doing a known stain. Will see which if I can successfully complete at least one more "care-free" grow.

Awe for sure bru, let it go longer for some nice fat colas I am doing my Gorilla Glue #4 currently, so still getting to grips with everything but slowly getting there, eventually what strains do you have in mind?

I'm considering either a Critical Jack or Delahaze, but to be honest I'm really not sure. Haven't given it much thought, only reason I'd like to try a Delahaze I hear it's quite a kicker.

Never heard of that strain before but the CJ I know about. Just difficult finding quality genetics around here. Alot of them have been cross bred, or they did some other kak along the way making it like tarrie

How about importing seeds? Ever tried it? I get seriously paranoid with personal information related to any of this

Long time no updates!

Not much has changed since I last flushed the plants about 20 odd days ago with 3x pot volume of water.

I am watering them very thoroughly though, practically putting the pot's volume of water every 2-3 days. Usually every 2 days. Is that too much? Should I put less and flush again later on?

Here's some budporn, nothing special but I'm happy!

Also... They've developed a strong smell... It's escaped the cab and taken over... This is a bit concerning.. any ideas? Can't really put in a filter seeing as my extraction is barely keeping my temps at acceptable levels.

Looking tastey bru. You could always make a small filter. A bit of work but well worth it, I made my own filter when the smell got too much

How do you recommend I go about this Pat, any input is appreciated. My extraction is literally just a 65cfm 12V pc fan (running at 15.4V overclock)

Also my fans are only running when my lights are on (which is when I'm home 90% of the time) because they make quite the hum in our townhouse/flatlet which is pretty quiet. Renting so have to be hush hush and inconspicuous incase I'm at work and for some reason (like geyser repair) the landy has to come in.

So the intake fan holes would also be open/stationary at this time of lights off.
