Random update, just took a peek at my plants before lights out. Snapped a few pictures of the little beginnings of buds with the little wisps of hairs starting to poke out all over. I only used my phone so they are not the closest or best quality.

Take it easy

Well just had my first scare of this grow, was cleaning up some leaves and trying to get my plant to bend a little outwards to give the middle bud sites on the main stem some more light. Unfortunately one of the main stems above the split snapped most of the way. I don't know if my quick fix will help but I'm really hope that I don't lose this top as it was coming along really nice. I grabbed some packing tape I had around the house cut a small square and tried my best the wrap the damaged area, seal of any air from the inside of the stem and add some support in hopes that it'll repair if able.
Not the end of the world or these plants but still not fun and not over yet.

hope that's not a bad sign

Hello everyone, Day 14 of flower for my little mystery plants. they're both getting very big and should start to slow down a bit on the flowering stretch and get more into bud development in true. I'm very happy to report back after my stupid mistake a few days ago, the quite bad looking break on the stem is looking a lot better after a few days having tape hold it together. There is a little line on the side that was totally broken and the one droopy leaf is not as bad but still drooping, other then that its as if it didn't happen.

Another week past and I keep liking what I've been seeing out of my random seeds that I didn't expect much out of. A lot of the little side shoots lower down on the plant have almost caught up to the height of the main stems giving them a good deal of light to use.
As always take it easy

Looking good in there my friend. Happy Growing!

Looking good with great pictures lol I dropped a screwdriver on my Northernlights and accidentally broke 3 tops off but I turned them into cuttings so at least it's not a total loss. Got to love the tape idea it's great if the stems still attached.

Thanks man, I read about the screwdriver accident you had in your journal, your little cutting were looking healthy last time I checked your journal. I'm quickly learning growing is alot about making the most out of what your given, accidents and all

Definitely, and learning from the mistakes that are made lol in my case lots of them haha

Hey Everyone,
I've just been in my grow room grabbing some bud shots with my camera, wish I had a nice macro lens but at least this is better then trying to zoom with my phone's camera. Plants have been good so far this week, drinking lots of water and starting to slow in height now, buds are small but building up.

Hello everyone, back again for my weekly Saturday update. Not too much to report this week, both plants have now started bud development in true. Little crystals are now starting to cover the leaves around the tops, I've also noticed a few hairs have gotten a little red but its maybe 5-6 on the plant so far so just the beginning. The plants have really started to soak up the water, went from 2 fills of the 500ml (3 would just start to drain out) to 3 fills of my 500ml bottle and the next day its mostly ready for more. I think some of this is the lights heating the soil as the humidity will go up after a water, I'll have to watch that later, maybe switch to watering 10 mins before lights out and keep the humidity down.

That's it for now, wasn't sure that I was going to be able to make my weekly journal entry in today, I was out with a migraine most of the day. Finally cleared up and was able to grab shots before lights out. Now time to roll me up a little j, really enjoying the Stardawg I picked up this week, has a nice flavor to it, may look into buying some of these seeds for next batch with the blue dream I've been wanting for awhile.
Till next post, Have a good one and happy growing everyone!

Looking good brother! Curious how tall they are from the top of soil?
Thank you, I suck at guessing distances at a glance but I'd say about 2 feet at least maybe 2.5 at most. The soil is about half way up the bucket, so half the bucket and what you see.

Ohh and your avatar pic creeps me out, but I like it. :D
Lmao, wasn't actually the usual picture I use for profiles so went to my picture folder and that one worked so well couldn't help using it hehe.

Its that time for my Saturday update, Hey everyone!
I'm back again with more progress pictures but first as always just a quick update. This week I've been happy to watch my buds grow slowly everyday getting a nice dusting of crystals they go. I've been feeding my plants quite a lot more water as its been soaking up around 2L (500ml x 4) from around 1.5L every few days. On a negative note I've gotten a bit of the yellowing I was having before on Thing 1 has returned, I had looked online and had assumed it was light bleaching but may have been off. I've been giving nutrients every second or third watering, I'd appreciate any suggestions or experience in this if anyone has ideas.

This is one of the discolored leaves.
There are a few on Thing 1 (problem child), none on Thing 2?
Any ideas?
Despite the slight issues I've had with the leaves I'm still very happy with how my plants are coming along the colas are starting to fill in the space between nodes and will soon be one big cola, not this week but maybe the week after. Also starting to notice a brief smell when I pass the closet, makes me impatient to sample but I'll be good and hold off work on my wild fermentation raspberry-blackberry-blueberry wine (another hobby with lots of waiting, I do it to myself).

Well onward to week 5, day 28 today and getting ready for the final stretch.
Have a great one everybody, Happy growing!

Hey everyone, just a quick update. I've been here trying to figure out my yellowing issues as they have progressed slowly and some have gotten a few larger brown spots. I looked into my drain and decided to widen it up a bit and found there was a fair amount of water pooling under where I had the hole. My guess would be that a of excess nutes may have collected there, the water may have been getting stagnant which wouldn't help either. I've now raised up my pot gotten a bigger hole and ran some wicks into it to help pull water into my runoff dish, After I tested some water for PH and PPM then poured it though the plant, tested the runoff.

20181214_152846.jpg
Water In - 154 PPM
7.30 PH
Water Out - 301 PPM
7.18 PH

So from what I'm getting from these results is my PH is slightly high before and after which I can fix when I prepare my water. What I didn't expect to find was that my PPM is only like 150, I was scared I would be way more on the side of going over with the nutes. Time to start thinking about bringing them up a bit more in watering and be on top of the water monitoring before and after.
How can I go with out a few shots my my plants added in :) more to come tomorrow when I do my Saturday update,
until then my friends Have a good one, happy growing!!
