Jays 3rd Grow - Indoor - LED - Soil - Multi-Strain Journal

The seedlings are looking great. I found that when I fired my tent up the humidity stayed up around 85% for a couple days then dropped to a nice stable 65%.

Don't recall the size of your LED's. I have 2 600 Watt LED's running and currently have them sitting at about 30 inches. The seedlings are loving it and haven't objected at all. I agree with you strategy to drop the light slowly just to make sure you don't fry them.

I'm running (1) 300W MarzHydro (150w at the wall) and (2) 1000W King Plus (only pulls 200w each at the wall) but enough to cook these babies if they get too close too soon! I don't mind the high humidity this early, in fact I keep the humidity dome on to keep it high. If I don't the RH drops pretty low 30-40%.

How do you like the King Plus. I was checking it out on Amazon and the price is right. How are they for heat?

I added them in the last week or two to the last grow because my HPS bulbs kept burning out. That grow was so far along that I couldn't really get a gauge on how the plants like them. They put out a little more heat then the MH300 but not too much considering they have 40 more led chips. Time will tell with this grow how they really perform and like you mentioned the price was right!

I really like some of the COB lights I've seen. I was thinking of building one but have a lot of studying to do first.

I was looking at COB lights as well, I too need to do some more research on them but I have heard some really great things about building your own to suite your grow. Always learning!!

Not much to update on today, moved the plants up about 6/7 inches closer to the lights checked on them a few hours later and temp was at 75. Here are some pics with tags visible for reference.

Looking good Jay. They all look like they are doing well and enjoying the extra light. Temps sound to me.

Not sure how far north you are in California but we had a cold night last night in the Bay Area with temps dropping to 37 last night outside. My tent is running at 74 F this morning. I had two more seedlings pop up overnight.

Awesome man, sometimes these little buggers can be so stubborn lol. I'm also in the Bay Area and it was definitely cold last night! I disconnect my exhaust so it was pumping back into the garage to help keep the temps up, the tent was at 72 a little lower than I would like so I'm glad I wasn't pushing that warm air out side.

I kept my exhaust fan going last night but reduced the airflow into the tent and kept her up to 75%. At least the weather is suppose to really warm up nicely next week.

I bought a speed controller and have it dialed down as low as it can go, now that I don't have the HID light in there I don't need to pull out the heat as quickly. It's also nice to not have a loud ass fan going in the garage anymore!

What type of speed controller did you get. Mine has one built in but doesn't crank her down much. I was thinking of adding another one.

It adjust fairly well but most noticeable speed difference happens between the low, med, high settings. I'm happy with it so far.

I'll take a look at the fan controller.

After rereading what I wrote I was even confused at what I was trying to say lol. What I meant is that it doesn't really gradually increase or decrease the speed until you get the the medium setting and to think I was sober at the time

Papaya #2 is slowly trying to catch up to her sisters who are all working on their 3rd leaf set.

I noticed that after I moved them into the big tent and still had the humidity dome on the humidity jumped super high, 85-90%. This caused Jack flash and Ice to transpire quite a bit. The excess nutrients left behind on the edges of the leaves caused some burning. Not a big deal, but without my led glasses it looks crazy.

Everything seems to going smoothly and the girls seem happy!

No problem brother. I appreciate your further clarification.

Your plants are really coming along nicely.

Its been a while since I've posted, been super busy with life and what not. The girls are doing great I will probably transplant them into 3 gal pots tomorrow or Thursday and give them a week to adjust then flip to flower. I'm hoping that they will stay relatively small and not overcrowd each other. I am going to give my buddy the smaller Papaya to throw in his aquaponics setup so I will have a little extra room.
