I just did a batch of seeds for a guy (100) because he had same problem , bad batch not one popped in 10 days. Temp is 75'f towel is always moist. I got curious cus the seeds were very aesthetic but notice the volcanoes are small on all of them. Also forgot to put the beans in freezer overnight (They are not mine I assumed they were done already) I feel ya Jaga :(

Good evening weed jaga. sorry about the seeds my friend. I never do the towel method. I put the seeds right into a seed starter pod and go from there. I don't like handling the sprout. I use root riots but there are others. I had to come home early from work today. the cold has kicked my but. slept in my recliner for 3 hours. Now I about ready to head to bed. Hope you are feeling better. Give you family a big hug from me. :Namaste:

Well when I was checking the seeds which I always do before germinating them I give them a soft squeeze
and one of them made a crack I more felt it crack than heard it any how the other 2 seemed fine so they have been on my heated propagator
tray for the last few days, I will give them a cheking soon but as the days go by I am becoming a lot more dissapointed, the tray isnt to hoy and they have never run out of moisture??????

I had ten of the same seeds all in the same little plastic /Glass? Vile out of the 10 it seems that I have only had 4 open an germ
it does make me think that I got some bad seeds
But that dont really help cause I don’t think Herbie will give any money back for bad seeds as they cover themselves as

leads me to think they got the money an there happy sod every one else that may have problems cause they aren’t sold for growers???

After having poor seed germination rates with peat moss pucks and soil this year I have switched to Rapid Rooters as the medium I use for germination. I use a match box lined on the bottom with 220 grit sandpaper, I insert the seeds into the match box and shake the seeds for several minutes to lightly scar the outside of the seeds and allow water to permeate the seeds. I place the Seeds in a glass with pH adjusted water for 30-36 hours or until tap roots emerge. I cut the Rapid Rooter mat into individual squares and soak the squares in pH adjusted water for 15 minutes to saturate them. I then place the seed in a Rapid Rooter square and place the square into a seedling tray under a light, I do not use a dome. I use a syringe to water the Rapid Rooter squares each day to keep it moist.

Hey I tried putting the non popped seeds into a cup of warm water an they sunk straight to the bottom I think it is a sign that they are definitely
dead :rip: I am still going to leave them on in ope that well maybe a Christmas miracle will happen more than likely NOT
still theres no harm in trying :icon_roll
 
I'm sure that good seeds sink and bad ones float. Usually soon after sinking they will split and shoot a root. Fingers crossed for you Jaga, and your not cursed, its just you have had a lot of bad grow luck in one go. Just wait till you get all the good luck in one go Jaga, you will have plants sticking out of your roof:). Happy holidays Jaga.
