Jaga: My First Grow Journal

Sorry about the mold, Jaga!

I like how, in this pic, the guy looks like he's holding up a pile of meds on the red blanket and the headline below reads "Krypton"!

Thanks I put the newspaper together and try to employ a few laughs
I had some funny ones over the years,, it happened by accident one time :passitleft:
But I thought maybe someone will see the headlines.
It wasn't mold but spidermite I'm afraid to look at the other space :o

Sure does look like mites. Can you see any two spotted bugs on the leaf bottoms?

As far along as she is,,,, I'd take the damaged leaves off. Mites suck. Do you have any sprays on hand? Neem is a good one but only up till the second week of flower.. After that,,, there are afew sprays of food grade products. I've used the green cleaner from old stage up to a week before harvest. Or Safers Insecticidal soap is another good one. You can spray a good heavy spray of safers and wait 15 minutes then rise,,, then put under a fan to dry it off. Only spray after the lights go out to keep from burning them.

But Once anything you have in veg gets acouple weeks old,, spray them every 3 days for 4 times. I prefer azamax,,, but neem is less costy and works well. It's really hard to treat mites on plants that far into flower. You can get neem for cheap. Another good one for vegging plants is organicide, but like neem,, it's a oil and leaves residue on the plants that you really woodn't want to smoke.. When it rains,, it pours... GL .
Yup thanks Star I have some stuff in the shed I hope called mighty wash,, but how the heck did they not kill the hindh kush she was side by side,, I am even thinking I could be smoking them I can't say that the kush is as good a taste as last one.
I am flipping shocked,, I went back to the half plant that I left chopped it and gave it a power shower lol I doubt it did much but holy heck I really am puzzled and please tell me do you if they live in house plants I have an ivy in a pot on the window,, its all a bit panicky here. I just seen what you have been through,, did I walk them in from the garden???
Thanks for the advice Woody
Top of the bud to you

The spotting of the leaves and the way it looks underneath it's 100% spider mites. Chop her and move on before they infest your other plants :thumb:
Hey welcome and thanks for the advice,, when I seen how bad it was I took clips to it straight away :passitleft:
I put the plant in a brown bag as well omg little bastards :o
Thanks brother

Spider mites are easy to kill off,, if your plants are in veg. Whatever spray you use,, soak the plant. I mean soak. I spray mine heavy,, then run my hand up and down the plant while spraying again. That way you rub it into all the nooks and crannies.. Believe it or not,, is alot of places for them to hide. They get right in the middle of where all the leaflets come togather.. and that's a hard place to get truly wet. If you use neem acouple drops of a dish soap will help it spread and it helps keep the oils suspended in the water... Shake often while spraying. . Mighty Wash will work. But you have to spray 3-4 times to kill them all. Most sprays claim to kill eggs,, bullshit. It will kill the adults,,, then 3 days later the eggs hatch,,, and then spray again. And in 2or 3 days later,, afew more eggs will hatch.. Spray again. That should kill them.. I do one more for safety sake. And clean everything. Drip rings and floors and walls with a bit of bleach water....

It is funny,, mites prefer one strain over the others... But you can bet they have a few on there. GL Jaga

OMG fussy little mothers aren't they I'm on it and yes everything so far this is the hole house I brought the leaf downstairs,, and the infectect parts,, while I think I let the plant into the living room cause I needed better light to see what was happening,, so would they be on the settie I sat the plant on?

Sall good credit is where credit is due :)
The spotting of the leaves is the easiest sign to spot them, you were on it before you knew it haha

It's not too bad from what I can see, you caught them in the act and got them outta there. Keep it up mate :passitleft:

Hey Jaga,, that bud you had that was turning white i from being to close to the light and it's called photoinhibition or bud bleaching from too much light.

Hope you got them mites under control.. I've heard good things about mighty wash. Just do it every three days till you've done it atleast 3 times.. Every three days to get the eggs that hatch.. Alot claim they kill eggs,,, but that's BS. eggs hatch every three days. GL and Keepem Green

Howdydoody woods
Its been a rough ride since my last update, I chucked the plant away.
We have a gastric flu and it's a bit busy but I will be back soon

I don't do alot of reading. But under the LEDs I see white? Could it be light burn? If it bothers ya,,, as long as she has some age as in , maturity,, take the top. It will help throw any growth to the next bud down the line. Just take the whole flower clusterr...
Are the tips getting crispy I’ve learned to back off lights of dry and curled up like tacos and crispy feeling ?

Thanks Mr K :) the picture does it more justice as its dried out its gone brown and really don't look like a good healthy bud no more  in fact it really should have been washed first. I have a very bad dust thing going on up there.?
Any how I did get 1and a half ozz from the Hindu kush so that helped
Still I'm looking forward to the tasting I haven't had a good sativa in a while
Top of the bud to you brother :)
How do you wash buds jaga?

Try h202 or unscented dish soap and cold water ??

Happy Fryday Jage and friends,
Jage I sure hope you have your grow problems solved. I recently bought a clone from a friend and I didn't look at it well enough and it had spidermites. I have kept it away from my other girls and have been spraying it ever 3 days with SNS 217. Starting to look better every day. The girls are clones from one of the state licensed grows and came looking so nice and have really started looking good.

Front to back.
3 LA Confidential
3 Kandy Kush
3 Sour Tsunami

I ordered these on the 23rd of August, received on the 9th of Sept. Planted in 4 + gallon planters with Dr Earth pot soil. I'm using there fertilizer following there fert. schedule. Seems to be working pretty good. They are under 600watts of hps on a 18/6 schedule. I'm going to let them veg for a few more weeks and then flip. The sour tsunami is a fast grower and is already about 6" taller than the indica. For now I'm happy.
