Jaga: My First Grow Journal

I ha to chop the Dedoverde Haze a couple of days back ,, she was all amber an I do like a good speck of milky with clear an some amber I hope I didnt leave her to long any how

and she gave up 13 grams a bit sad really :volcano-smiley:
Any how I have 2 Amnesia in the dirt and I am looking forwards to seeing how the Znet 300w light does :circle-of-love:
So far I have been so chuffed its a good strong light :high-five:

Hey Jaga.....when using trichome coloration re ripeness, look at trichomes at center of developing flower, not on leaves. Pick Dedoverde earlier than late....much better effect from this strain. :Namaste:

I second that (when to harvest).
Chop haze's & most Sativa's when mostly cloudy, very little to no amber.
For indicas, it's the opposite. Chop when getting good amber..

I didn't realize that about indicas. Of course, I haven't grown that many to harvest and this makes perfect sense. I not used to strains geared to slowing you down, though that might be something I should consider. :laughtwo:

Even as small as it is, I'm thrilled you have something at last. On to the next adventure. You know, sooner or later you and I will figure out how to stay in supply. I know how exasperating it is because I keep running up against this challenge myself. I admire your tenacity.

Yea thats what I am trying to tell myself ,, she wasn't right from day one that girl was a bit sick through her whole grow cycle,,I am glad she made it over all ?? I am :circle-of-love::Love::circle-of-love:
 
True a harvest in hand beats alot of the alternatives. Harvest times are all over the place. So many variables involved. Things like how intense your lights, food even soil. like I always say it takes afew grows to get to know what a strain expects from you. Do as I say, not as I do. But if your like me, I wanna try em all. I really need to find a strain I like, and work with it. Really, I'm still looking for that one. But that's what it takes, afew grows to get a strain to produce as it should. Keepem Green

It kinda hurts cause I was hoping for more out of her ;) an I would also advice anyone thats growing a Dedoverde Haze pick her early ;) I am trying to get my head around getting me some new soil ? A friend I was chatting to the other day was saying that Bio Bizz isnt the best??True he thinks I want it for flowers but any ideas on a good soil I would like to see if things grow a lil better:thumb:
 
I've been using Black Gold Organic mix. I do amend mine with afew things but I have grown right out the bag and didn't have to fert until flower. That's not saying she didn't want more but. I'd imagine people wood be fine right out the bag if they plan on feeding routine.
I add blood/bone-meal mixed 50/50 to the mix, around 3 cups per, along with earthworm castings, alot of castings. I use between 8 and 10 cups per 2 cubic ft bag. I like alittle Marine Cuisine to help carry them thru veg 8-10 heaping table spoons, 5-6 shot glasses of azamite. Then afew shakes of Myco's to the mix. I like;

The granular works for me. Costs like 20-25$ a kilo. After all is mixed I like to add some old soil to kick off the batch. Maybe 1 gallon old to 9 new, it brings with it alot of good bacteria, kind of like I use to do on my stills, I'd always save a couple gallons out the working pot to kick start the new corn and sugars. Hell I ran the same starting yeast for years. Back to the dirt' Then I prewet with a mixture of water with just a drop or two of some molasses. Molasses is food for the microbial's you got going on. I don't add any perilite to mine for outdoors, which wood lighten the soil with better drainage, but that means alot more watering more often. Which I like for indoors, makes for a faster growing plant. But could dry a outdoor out way to fast. Alot of good soil recipes out there. Always have the compost pile. That has it's own set of problems, but sure is some good stuff after it cools down. Keepem Green
 
Thanks woody brilliant advice I needed that as well I am about to recoup on my soil ,, I like your style put some old in with the new for the Microbes makes great sense ,, I was going to look to mix CoCo with soil for making things go further?? But I tried a coco an soil mix in our garden an I just drowned our Lillies ;)

I have once again had you my mind since a post that was made back some ,, just make it right bro ,, take as much time as yu need but get things right in the world outside of 420 an Please get some pics of the upcoming festival Grand master Flash :thumb:is there if I read it right ,,its going to be great really good from what I have seen on the flyer.

As for the expo! If the mood takes me I'll be doing video and all sorts this time! I may even come out from behind the cam, we shall see :) The music should be cool, to have a music festival and canna expo together should make for a blast! Hopefully I'll be having some fun throwing beans about, hso have a big pimped out double decker bus to drive about in chucking seeds at folks, so gonna hang with them some! ;)

Once back I'll organize my times available for the visit down to you and be in touch ;)

The line up Daw Gaaad I was a new age festival type person I think this will really go down well for our cause :thumb:
An it will be so great to see you actually what I need is for some one like you to look at my grow an give me some advice :)

So I don’t much like the Camera much on this phone,, it made them look real washed out :reading420magazine:I will have to see if its got a better setting :)
I started to give the seedling Metrop root and growth hormone with some Calgreen:)
The last good grow I did every thing went so quick ,,so I look forwards to seeing the plants grow from start to Finnish on the znet light :)

grandmaster flash, yeah man.. Got an autobiography of his that's a good read.. Turning his push bike upside down and turning the wheels was his inspiration in a way.. Those early block parties would have been awesome.. Kool herc started but grandmaster really created what we know as hip hop.. He got screwed over by rec company, as all the early artist did but flash more so. He didn't release his solo until 2003 or something silly like that, 25 years later..
