Jaga: My First Grow Journal

yea leaves are needed so if you don't have to get rid of it don't
I do defoliate but minimally here and there never a whole lot at once

just my opinion

Ditto... plus it's doing fine. Leave well enough alone.:goodjob:
Hey Reg I will thanks:circle-of-love:
Been awhile Jaga, and they girls are starting to frost up well. I know by saying this a lot will think I'm nuts but I do understand about doing a defoliation. Indoors yes. But if ya want to hear a odd ball comment, I only do a minimal trim. When a girl first starts flowering she really needs every piece of help she can muster. Now after afew weeks and buddage starts showing her colors you do want penetration in the canopy, and the extra airflow. But just know those big ass sunleaves are the best power plants a plant has. So kind of try to be alittle lite on the trim. You can always trim more the next day or two. A lot of strains have a really high flower to leaf ratio. Plants like that, I just tuck sunleaves out the way till later. Them first few weeks really set a lot of plants bud structure. The more green the faster the growth.
But I DO understand if she shades your garden out and you need the penetration. Just saying they are real important leaves to a plant.
Hey you think this one needs to defoliate?

LOL I think Miss J trimmed almost 2 gallons of interior leaves.
Well I babbled enough. Easy to let a outdoor girl, 'over thicken'. Sweet Keepem Green
"O my Giddy aunt" I have sure learnt something an what an amazingly beautiful plant shrub,,,I mean tree:circle-of-love:
Ok, WOW!! What a beauty! And I agree 100%. Defoliation reduces Brix readings of a plant. That's enough for me to pull way, way back on the practice. Only when absolutely necessary and spaced out a little bit every day to cut down on the stress factor. I mean, it works to open up the plant, and you're going to get a harvest, I just want the strongest, most potent harvest I can coax out of my plants. It's a personal preference though.

Your leaves are so beautiful Jaga. What happy plants squeezed into that tent! I just get lost in the linear beauty of the cannabis leaf. That first picture of yours has such beautiful lines and angles that it made me audibly gasp in appreciation.

Now admit it - you love the fact that goodness tumbles out of that tent when you unzip. :laughtwo:
Hey sweet Girl thank you that was very nice of you to say :Namaste:
And heck you are right I do like the buds popping out when I unzip:rofl:an ya know what I mean he says smiling with new teeth:cheesygrinsmiley::cheesygrinsmiley::cheesygrinsmiley:

Am I on the right thread? Sheesh Jaga!

hey BAR all of you guys did some major improvements
hats off to all of you :bravo:

I said it before and I'll say it again; if you stick with 420mag and don't improve it's because you're hard-headed or chose to sit in the back of the class dozing off everyday.

Girls look great. I can't count the time I've used a bath tub to do my waterings. Auto's have sure come along ways. The first auto's were of the same quality as hemp. Pot growers are advancing in leaps and bounds.
Looks great and Keepem Green
