It's been a while. Work is busy and I've got that much on the go it's crazy. Anyways I'm battling thrips still, so I got bugs last Thursday, gotta get rid of these f@ukers.

Still rolling along here.... thrips still giving me grief.... got 4 more stripped and ready for flower... and my little bug dispenser on them.... I also took clones yesterday and got some bug dispensers on them too...

Well its been awhile since I've posted here.... life got way too busy over the last year. Anyways a short recap of what I've been at. I done just dark energy from the last post till a few days ago. I moved to 3 gallon plastic pots, cause I was lazy, battle with thrips the whole time, and had sad sad yields but really nice smoke. I'm guessing the 3 gal plastic pots reduce my yields and the dark energy Phnom I had wasn't a big yielder.

When the new year started, I popped some new seeds. They were a gift someone sent me, so I've been working these 2 plants for months, potting up, taking clones multiple times, trimming, lst training. I moved the 2 original plants into the flower tent a two weeks ago, looked like everything was going good... I quickly peaked in Thursday and just seen preflowers starting. Yesterday I was just finished burning a J when I opened the flower tent for check.... both were hermied out like crazy. I was so rotted, basically all my other clones and other plants coming behind was from these 2 plants...

I took a few hours to cool down. I've some how lucked out a bit, a friend gave me 2 clones a month ago that I've been nursing along. One is a strawberry cough, and the other is ... idk now... taste of God, or something like that. And hey Maybe its time to try the dwc buckets I've had for almost 2 years. So I got the gear all dug out... washed the buckets and cage, rinsed the clay pebbles, got the ph and tds pens out....calibrated the ph pen.

So this morning I had to work.... still doing ice checks here.... got home and got to work.... got my bucket filled with nutrients and ph'd, bubbler installed and the god of taste is planted.

Now I remembered the strain, I looked on the tag, poison of god.... a cross of Durban poison and God bud.

Anyways idk how many peeps are gonna read this as I've been away for a year. I do have a few questions with the dwc.

First is can my pump support 2 buckets? It is a marina 100.

Second is tds...1000 in veg and 1200 for flower, and 400 for finish?

Third, I just top off the bucket with ph'd water durning the week?

Forth, I change the nutrients every week ? Do I prepare another clean bucket with nutrients and just swap the plant and cage to the new bucket? Or do you just empty the bucket and add new?

I used the general hydroponics pump for 4, lots of air is always good, I did run a single on a marina 50 or 70 I think. For hydro follow the hydro troubleshooting chart.

Your last statement thats what I did with DWC just swapped to the new bucket. I hated DWC pain in the rear.

Those charts are really gonna help.
I got another pump tonight... 126.8 gph, so ill be good for 2 buckets. Tomorrow ill set up the other bucket and get everything going.
I've really wanted to try some hydro, so wish me luck.

Another question... how can I veg plants and then move them to a flowering tent ???

Just need to be careful when you move them. As my girls started to flower it got interesting changing the res. Might of even broke a stem. I used the same tent when I did it but I moved them out of it a couple times to change res. Another reason I stopped DWC. They grew very fast and big buds though.

I had a good system and scheduled going, 2 flower tents roughly 4-5 weeks apart, and one veg tent just jammed... id do up a cloner machine full, pick the best 16 for me and give my buddy the rest, I'd just veg them till a flower tent was empty and up pot and start flowering. I'm guessing I can't really do anything Iike that for hydro...

Now I see what you mean. Wonder if you could just make something diy and put some root separators in so the don’t get tangled together then “uppot” them to the next tents system when it’s free. Maybe and 8 plant system in the veg and a 4 plant system for each of your flower tents.

Yeah, I see now its not gonna work for me... but I'll run these 2 dwc buckets and try it out. I'll put my new seed back into the promix.

And anyone tried plant produce MJ fertilizer.... I've seen it at a supplier today. Dry granular, and it ain't that expensive.
 
Update time

With almost a week in my first dwc and everything "seems" fine, I got around to getting my second bucket setup with the strawberry cough. So I mixed 2 bucket of fertilizer, one for the strawberry cough and a switch for the poison of god.
All measurements are per bucket
Around 4 gallons of water
15 ml grow
4.5 ml armor si
20 ml diamond nectar
10 ml calmag
15 ml turpenator
Ph'd to 5.7
Ppm 815
Temps at 19° C

4 Apollo garden are in the veg tent now.. possibly gonna mix i very lite feed for them and my cantaloupe's
 
Time for another update....

Well the dwc tent seem to be going okay.... got my first root dangling from the poison of god, and I could see the raspberry cough isn't far behind.

Sunday update time,

So this week was okay, the raspberry cough got a bit droopy at the end of the week, but still seems fine. Got some roots showing on both girls now. I done a bucket switch this morning for 2 of the girls.

4 gallons of water

15 ml diamond nectar
15 ml calmag
15 ml turpenator

Bucket #1 will be for the poison of god
Bucket #2 will be for the raspberry cough

I also tested the both bucket i removed.

So first thing is temps are too high... I moved my temp probe to fix this. I think the water temps adjustment should help with everything. The poison of god did drink alot more then then the raspberry cough. I guess we'll see how this week goes.

Quick update
Temps are better this week and it shows, the heat isn't on anymore, but I only had my veg switch on atm.

I'm sure I'm gonna have water temp issues once I get into flowering. And days are getting warmer here now...
Should I flip these girls?
