ISEARCH's Broken Branch - Now Growing In Croutons 2014

WHEN IT COME TO CLONING I USE TheCapn'S How to clone in rock wool

IF YOU DON'T HAVE CLONEX ROOTING GEL YOU MAY USE : Bonide Fertilizer. Rooting Powder
Bonide_Fertilizer_Rooting_Powder.jpg

IT COST $6 THAT WHAT I USE . . . . :bongrip:

Dakini Kush & Waipi o Hapa
Dakini_Kush_Waipi_o_Hapa.JPG

TheCapn's - Mix up your water:

a. To the 1/2 gallon of water, add about 5ml of bloom formula (general hydroponics bloom or foxfarm big bloom) to the water, and mix to 250ppm @ .5 conversion. If you don't have a PPM meter, 2ml of Bloom in 1/2 gal of water should be close.

b. 10ml of aquashield or voodoo juice (same thing)

c. optional: add any kind of beneficial bacteria (mycos, etc) If you're not sure what this is, just skip this step!

d. The ph should be between 5.5 - 5.8, adjust if necessary* . If you OVER adjust, start over with a fresh 1/2 gallon, we don't want too many PH up/down chemicals in our mix.

I USED 1.5 GALLONS OF TAP WATER
AQUASHIELD 10mL
Advanced Nutrients Jungle Juice Bloom 5mL
House and Garden Roots Excelurator 2.5mL
Superthrive Vitamin Solution 2 DROPS

MY PPM WAS 259 AND PH @ 6.4
I ADDED ONE DROP OF PH DOWN @ A TIME TO ADJUST PH TO 5.5

TheCapn's- Put cutting into rock wool
a. Clean a toothpic or similar with alcohol, and use it to make a new hole in the rockwool for the stem. I use my plant markers. The stem of the clone should fit snug into the hole. You don't want any air between the stem and the rock wool.

b. Dip the stem of the cutting into the clonex gel. Put the stem in the rockwool. Try to get the part where you cut off leaves, inside the rockwool. Push the stem down into it until it is about 3/4th the way to the bottom of the cube. Don't Squeeze the rockwool cube.

THIS IS WHERE I DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT....:cheesygrinsmiley:
INSTEAD OF DIPPING THE STEM OF THE CUTTING IN CLONEX GEL (I DIP THE STEM OF THE CUTTING IN SUPERTHRIVE AND THEN INTO THE ROOTING POWDER) WORKS GREAT ......:cheesygrinsmiley:

Trim off any excess leaves
The plant has no roots to feed the leaves, so if you have too many leaves, the clone may suffer.

TheCapn's- Put the clone inside a humidome
You don't need an expensive humidome. You can use a regular seed germination tray or two plastic containers as you can see in my picture. You can mist the inside of the dome with pure water if you want. If your clones are wilting now, you took too long to get them set in rockwool and put in the dome. Don't worry, they should perk up after they get in the humid dome.

Wait two weeks for roots to pop out the bottoms of the work wool cubes. When you see lots of roots, you can take then out of the humidome and transplant.

More information:
* If the branch you take has a "woody" stem, meaning the stem is hard, and more brownish color than green, these take much longer to root. Also, cuttings taken from higher "hollow" branches
* I crack up every time I hear people on youtube say, "Air-eee-ate your water." As if this was a 3 syllable word.
* If you don't have a PH meter, using this recipe with distilled or RO water should land your PH close enough and there is no need to adjust it. Also, it is not possible to "PH" water. "PH" is not a verb.

THANKS + REPS TO TheCapn . . . . . :passitleft:

THIS IS WHERE I DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT....:cheesygrinsmiley:
I PUT MY CUTTINGS IN THE DARK FOR A PERIOD OF 24 HOURS. . . . . . . . ;)

IN THE DARK THEY GO...... I PUT THE TRAY WITH A DOME IN A BOX AND TO MAKE SURE THAT THEY HAVE AIR I LEAVE THE VENTS HALFWAY OPEN AND I SPAY THE DOME WITH THE SAME WATER THAT I USED TO SOAK THE ROCK WOOL CUBE ;)

Patience is key, I'm in the same boat as you fellow green gardener. With this hobby it is a continual learning experience. Striving to document and follow our lovely plants ,following through with daily inspections and being one with your girls is the best you can do brotha!
& it appears you are doing just that, addaboy :Namaste: Stay vigilant with the nanner plucking, those girls are looking quite resinous :bravo: Positive vibes from the West :peace:

When I have found female pollen sacks I used a sharp pair of Fiskars scissors to make sure I cut the whole of the pollen sack out of the bud.

Green Morning KJC
I use the Fiskars scissors but I mainly use the tweezers because they allow me to just pluck the hole pollen sack.
KJC thank you for taking the time to checkout my Journal......:Namaste:

Green Afternoon CA215 . . . . . :ciao:
Thank you for the reps, I've haven't looked at your Journal yet. I'm in the middle of adding to my flower room + I've been getting some (Hands On Experience) {Learning With My Cousin} that gave me the Casey Jones plant. He does ( Roots Organics Soil + COCO and #4 Perlite. I try to take some pictures of his Casey Jones, but I most said he was Impressed with what I've done considering my limited knowledge of Cultivating Cannabis. .....
I do take good care of my house plants even though I've neglected them as of late......

CA215 Cultivating Cannabis is Therapeutic for me, I get HIGH when I THINK of GROWING or ANYTHING RELATED to GROWING my SEROTONIN GETS ELEVATED....:bongrip:

I use to THINK about things that I REALLY couldn't control and I was getting SICK!!! I started to get ANXIETY and PANIC ATTACKS THEY CAME OUT OF NO WHERE, I COULDN'T SMOKE BECAUSE IT MADE IT WORST!!! I WOULD SMOKE AND MY NERVES WOULD TENSE UP AND MY BODY ENDED UP BEEN IN PAIN + EVERYBODY WOULD SAY " YO IT'S ALL IN YOUR MIND" AND I KNEW THAT BUT WHEN THOSE ATTACKS CAME IT WAS DEBILITATING, I COULDN'T MOVE. ONE TIME I WAS THE MIDDLE OF TAKING A SHOWER AND I HAD TO GET OUT BECAUSE I HAD AN ANXIETY ATTACK AND THE WATER WAS HURTING MY BODY... NOT PHYSICALLY BUT MY NERVOUS SYSTEM WAS UNBALANCED BECAUSE OF ME WORRYING ABOUT STUFF THAT I CAN'T CONTROL!!!! MY DOCTOR SAID THAT I NEED TO FIGURE IT OUT BECAUSE HE DIDN'T WANT TO GIVE ME "PILLS" THAT I DON'T WANT!!!!!!!!!! PILLS MAKE PEOPLE SICKER THEN WHAT THEY WAS !!!!!! THEY GIVE YOU ONE PILL FOR YOUR SICKNESS AND TWO MORE FOR THE SIDE EFFECTS OF THE FIRST PILL!!!!!!!!!!

SO WITH THE HELP OF MY OLD LADY AND TAKING UP TAI CHI I WAS ABLE TO GET BETTER WITHOUT ANY PILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:rollit:

NOW I STRESS OVER { PH, PPM, HUMIDITY AND TEMPERATURE} AND GUESS WHAT I CAN CONTROL ALL FOUR OF MY WORRIES....

I DON'T LIKE TO SWEAR TO MAKE MY POINT OR TO ARTICULATE MY THOUGHTS BUT THIS IS SOMETHING THAT I FEEL VERY STRONG ABOUT SO I SAY { FUCK DEPRESSION AND SADNESS AND FUCK TAKING PILLS TO CHANGE YOUR MOOD }............;)

CA215 THANK YOU FOR THE VISIT AND I WILL STOP BY YOUR JOURNAL......:Namaste:

I'M SO PROUD OF MY SELF FOR LEAVING AND COMING BACK ON TO EVERYTHING LOOKING THE WAY IT SHOULD.... :green_heart:

BEFORE I LEFT I MADE SURE THAT ALL THE PLANTS WHERE WATERED AND I DOUBLED CHECKED THE TIMERS, JUST TO BE ON THE SELF SIDE I DIMMED THE BALLAST 400 WATTS....:cheesygrinsmiley:

THANK YOU KJC + REPS FOR :passitleft: SUGGESTING THE 1000-watt, Lumatek Dimmable Air-Cooled Ballast

I HAVE 3 AND I'M GETTING READY TO ORDER 2 MORE. . . . ;)

I ALSO UNPLUGGED THE HEAT MATS THAT ARE UNDER THE TRAYS WITH CUTTINGS......:bongrip:

MY THANKS TO TheCapn + REPS.... :passitleft: FOR THAT ONE..... :high-five:

THE HEAT MAT WORKS REAL GOOD WITH THE CROUTONS - GROW CUBES THEY DRY UP QUICKER AND THE ROOTS EXTEND LOOKING FOR WATER . . :cheesygrinsmiley:

I JUST REALIZED THAT I DON'T HAVE ANY PICTURES OF The Dakini Kush & Waipi'o Hapa CLONES I WILL TAKE SOME PICTURES TONIGHT, BUT LIKE I SAID ALL THE PLANTS WHERE FINE FOR THE LONG WEEKEND..... :cheesygrinsmiley:

ALTHOUGH TWO DAY AFTER I GOT HOME I LOST 2 PLANTS AND 6 CLONES, I'LL TAKE SOME PICTURES OF THOSE ALSO.... PS. THE HEAT MATS DON'T PLAY, YOU HAVE TO CHECK THE CLONES ONCE A DAY OR ONCE EVERY OTHER DAY, IF YOU DON'T THE CROUTONS WILL DRY UP!!!!

ON THE UPSIDE LAST NIGHT I PUT 45 CUTTINGS IN THE DARK BOX FOR 24 HOURS.....
