Is this overwatered?

media that needs ph at 5.8 is referred to as soilless. buffered media that does not require ph and media that needs ph at 6.3 - 6.5 is referred to as soil.

neither term is technically correct nor official. the word media is still better for both.
Well technically potting mix is technically still soilless . Regardless of the ph requirement it does not contain soil so to refer to it as soil wouldn’t be correct at all . Soil is soil and soilless is regarded as anything that doesn’t contain soil . Ph is the only difference as you said

that's just the shorthand that is used in the industry. it's how media gets referred to all the time at the landscape / gardening / indoor hydro company i worked with.

edit : it's not considered a technical term. only how they talk about it.
