Is this a male or female plant?

With this definitely being a very frequently asked question (I still ask a couple times a year myself) would it make sense to have one thread (this one would be a good candidate) for us to post our subjects and ask the big Q? Or should each still be a new thread?
I think it is better to have each one be it's own thread, because every grower is not the same, and they will need more than just the info someone else got... they will need someone to look at their photo and give personalized answers. Those too shy to post their own photo for whatever reason can search thru all of the available posts to see if one looks like what they have going on.

This above, what Sueet mentions.

It seems that way too many start reading a thread at the last msg. They will not go back and look through an entire thread to see if their question has already been answered.

The thread would just be a picture of hair, naners, calyx, and a new branch node. Those are the 4 pictures people post with this question. Oh, and a note clarifying you can not sex by roots, branching, or leaf size.

I have no issue looking at pics for a second oppinion on sex. It is good gateway for new people to start posting.

That is pretty much what I was envisioning, just a simple stickied thread for such pics and replies; even if it is a whole new thread and not one already existing.

Sure beats posting as a journal update and hope someone sees it (got lucky there on my most recent one, which looks to be a girl) Anyway, whatever the consensus on this ultimately becomes, and more importantly, whatever the site owners say (as to individual threads or a sticky thread), I'll go with that. What else am I gonna do, eh? :)

BTW, here is the one in question that did get answered in one of my journals recently.

Still keeping her on a 14/10 dark/light schedule just a little longer for further observation before I start the reveg process and begin working on getting others ready for sexing. :)

That one still has opposite, as opposed to alternating, nodes which generally means not sexually mature yet.

I understand where or what you are thinking of. Why not just start a new thread with a title and opening message explaining what and how the thread will help new growers. Invite new questions and photos if that that will help.

See where it goes. If it does start to work out the owners/moderators will notice and make it a 'sticky'. If not then try again with a slightly different approach.

Exactly! Just do it and see if it sticks (pun intended). Glad to help, but not going to hijack your idea.

Not my idea. @Ravenplume brought it up in msg #20. I quoted your msg because it looked like you and he were in favor of this type of a new thread.

Looks like it did indeed flower already, at around 7 weeks old. And it is a boy after all (but that is fine, because I needed one for the breeding pair.
