Is 1200W of LED

When I got my first Quantum Fixture, I wasn't sure what all went into the construction, wiring, ect.
Once I had a chance to get my hands on it, I could see the ease in which they are put together.
The next one i got from the same people, but I got the pieces and put it together myself saving a bit of money.
The latest one was the panels from Alibaba, Driver from Mouser, heatsinks from HLG, and the wiring bits and frame from Canadian Tire.
Big savings this time!

Yep, lights I just built are basically a Flouence Bioengineering SpydrX clone, in a smaller footprint, virtually the same spectrum and higher PPFD with a higher efficiency with better heat sinks for $400.
The SpydrX I think is $950 right now.

As nice as the Quantum board lights are regardless who makes them, I just prefer the much more even coverage of strip lights.
Unless you buy several Quantum boards and cover your grow area and dim them down, then you're probably not going to get as even of coverage as a strip light configuration.

I prefer boards to light a specific footprint of my grow
Strips are resolute, boards are adaptable, moveable, configurable.
A better solution.
Not sure how you figure that.

It would take 4 Quantum boards dimmed down to get as even of coverage as my one strip light with 8 strips.
It's all the exact same diodes, only difference is the strip lights separate the diodes for a more even coverage and more cross over and run much cooler.

A Quantum board has I believe 288 diodes in a tight little 7" x 11" board. (HLG)
And I think they are pretty much all run at 1050mA on the driver because any higher and I would think they would get too hot for the HLGs.
I can run my strips at 700mA, 1400mA and even 1900mA.
I run mine at 1400mA and with the heatsinks I have they run just barely warm to the touch running 24/7.
I am pretty sure the Budget LED boards are a little larger it seems and have the diodes spaced a wee bit more apart to run cooler and have a better foot print.
And run a higher mA.
I think they are better boards all around than the HLG.

Each strip on my light is 100 diodes in 24" so I can take 3 strips to more than equal a Quantum board space them however I wish 2 3,4,5" apart and with 3 strips, 300 diodes my light can be 6x24, 9x24, 15x24.
If the frame is TSlot aluminum you can move the strips wherever you like, add more at any time, take a couple off and use for side lighting, etc.
Can interchange strips, use one that's 3000k with 660nm red and the next one can be 4000k with 450nm blue.
Almost endless possibilities.

We respect your opinion

Why? One - or more - of those Chinese counterfeiters might eventually put you out of business.

and wish we could figure out margins like that

It's simple. Steal others' research/designs/WORK, produce a copy as cheaply as humanly possible - helps if you work the kids 50 to 90 hours per week and deign to pay them every few months. Figure that higher than market-average warranty claims are just another business expense, and know that if there are too many, you can just do the same thing you did before and "go out of business" one morning, then "start a new business" that afternoon, in the same factory, with the same employees, making the same products (with different brand names), et cetera.

Doesn't seem like something I'd respect - and certainly not anything I'd ever aspire to. . . .

From a business standpoint, we try to respect everyone's opinion as long as its not hate speech.

From respecting the way some of these businesses operate, we do not respec

As a business, we try our best to respect all opinions as long as it is not hate speech. Everyone is entitled to an opinion.

There are a whole bunch of issues with the suppliers you mentioned that hurt our business and many other US companies each and everyday. As soon as FB opened the channel, it was fair game.

Many people just think "they just buy everything from china and then sell it here". As a business and the current tariffs, this is just not the case and will never be the case for our business.

The suppliers you mention work around the tarriffs directly with consumers by giving extremely low entry values to avoid the tariffs. An illegal game a business doesnt want to partake in. Mean while any US company wanting to import from anywhere will suffer from potential tariffs.

In our business, we will continue to move towards our mission to be fully manufactured / built in Michigan by the end of 2020 (minus cords and drivers).
