Ive seen as much as 6 grams of oil from an ounce of super frosty bud, but the average is a bit above 4.
A gram of oil is equal to about a ml. So if you have a 1 ml pipette than comes with some ph or nute kits, suck up some molasses or pancake syrup and put a rice grain size drops on your finger. Do it till it's gone and count how many drops you end up with per gram/ml. Multiply that x 4 and that'll give you a general idea how many caps at that dose.
How many caps of course depends on your dose size.
People not used to getting high start with half a rice grain and work up from there. Even being a rec user, I've gotten totally wrecked on not much bigger than a rice grain size drop made from high THC top shelf bud.
I don't use caps. Just put drop under my tongue.
