InTheShed Grows Inside & Out: Jump In Any Time

Saturday update and spring is in the air a few days early. The actual first day of spring will be more non-stop rain! Either way, I got some scope shots of the trichomes this morning, so here they are (on flip day 62). And the name is in the caption if you get confused which ones are which. :nerd-with-glasses:

Starting with the Le Creme CBG, which looks to me like there is very little clear left so tomorrow it gets the ax:

And the Amnesia Lemon Kush, with still enough clear for me to feel comfortable giving it another week:

That's my Saturday news, and I hope yours is equally as bright!

Quotes:

Not here you haven't sb! You're always a pleasure to have around. :)

Ideal situation, thanks 13! And the LeC comes down tomorrow before the rains come again. Probably won't be hard to keep the RH up in the box those first few days.

Today's trichome pics are back here! Go check 'em out, we'll wait...

looks like the ALK is not to far from being done nice!
Thanks con! I figure that's coming down next weekend, but I'll have another look as we get closer.
Vive la France!
Sacre bleu! 🇫🇷
Looking close, sticky, and very appealing Shed!
Thank you Stunger, and I got my smeller back just in time! Stripped off all the fans this afternoon in prep for the chop and it smelled very nice.
Thanks Captain!
Btw do you have a link for putting a description with each picture? Lmao 🤣 CL🍀
Easy peasy if you upload your pics to the gallery rather than using the Attach Photo button:

The trichomes on the ALK look almost done too. Very nice Shed, the harvests just keep rolling around!
Thanks Carmen! I'm ignoring the amber and at the advice of @BeezLuiz, I'm using clears-going-cloudy as a good indication of chop time. I feel like I'm seeing enough glass to make waiting a week a safe bet, though I doubt I'll go longer than that. :)

After these two harvests I'll only have clones hanging around. The Candida (as usual), along with an ALK (in case anyone loves the smoke) and a few LeC's in case there are medical benefits to be discovered in the flowers. If there are I'll have them tested and keep a mother for CBG around like I do with the Candida for CBD.

Trichome shots look great, and I agree with your assessments! :thumb: Good luck on trim day today and I hope you stay dry. It's 5:45am now and just starting to rain here.

We were not supposed to get rain today, and yet ☔ . Harvest done between the raindrops, pics later or tomorrow.
Have a sticky day !
Thanks Otter...not really a sticky one for some reason. Smells nice though!
Happy trim Shed
Thank you Carmen!

++++++++++++++++++++++++++

And since the summer growing season came up in Otter's thread, I went back to find what my next two seed drops were going to be, and by popular demand from last August:
Seems like the Moonshine and the KA5H cross are the two faves!
The KA5H cross is known as 5 Killer Cookies (Cookies&Chem x KA5H) and Moonshine is fully named Grandpa's Moonshine (C&C x Purple Punch x GG#4). These are crosses by another member here and I just wanted to get them listed somewhere so I'll remember in May!

I drank moonshine twice in my life. Once before I knew better & once after I knew better. I was 25 & swore I'd never drink it again and 40 years later, I still haven't touched a drop. As you might imagine, I'm leery of this strain. But I'm a child of the late 60s, early 70s and am quite open to new experiences and well, what I'm trying to say is:
WHERE CAN I GET ME SOME?

EDIT: If I smoke something like moonshine, will I smoke it once & swear to never smoke it again? If so, see the question above.
I gotta stop posting when I'm buzzed...

Monday update of the Le Creme CBG harvest on flip day 63!

Just to review, Le Creme CBG is a hemp variety from Ventura Seed Company, testing around 14% CBGa and under 0.3% THC. For those interested in CBG, here is one of many articles describing its benefits:

These seeds are known to produce autoflowers 20% of the time, so I dropped two that sprouted back on November 9th 2022, and one of those was indeed an auto. That harvest was back here.

The other seed was a photoperiod I vegged for 66 days, so the total days above ground for this one was 129. But enough talk, let's see some pics!

I stripped the fans off on Saturday, so here it was on the right in tent Sunday morning with the Amnesia Lemon Kush:

Out in the drizzle and ready for harvest:

Working under the 10' square patio umbrella it was pretty quick and easy, and washed in plain tap water:

Tons of dead aphids came off but you don't need to see that.

The bones:

So much smaller than I'm used to growing, and that's only a 5 gallon pot!

After a few hours drip drying in the garage, I trimmed while watching the Minnesota/Wisconsin college football game from November and found one spot of rot:

It was that dead leaf that gave it away, and that's why I wet trim.

A lot of the buds were airy and bits broke off during the wash and trim:

And here are the results hanging in the drying box:

Because of the general high RH these days and the one area of rot, I kept the box open all night with the fan on it. This morning I closed it up, moved it in the shed, and pointed the fan at the lower holes. I'll see what the RH is in there tonight when I get home, but with another two days of rain coming I don't think overdrying will be a problem!

That was my Sunday, and I hope yours was productive in the most enjoyable ways.

Oh, and Spring has sprung for my Northern Hemisphere colleagues! Happy 12/12 day. ☯️

LOL! I have no idea if it will smoke anything like what you drank, but I can guarantee that no one will be going 40 years between joints.

Wow you’ve been busy!

“I trimmed while watching the college ball”

Yeah but sure you have well practised skills. Respect.

Seeing a bit of mould on a single one terrifies me and so wet trim point noted.

“well played, mate, nice shot”

Nick

Very keen eye 👁️ you have kind Sir, much respect ✊. Interesting way of doing trim jail time but to each his own. Looking bueno mi hermano. CL🍀

Congrats on the takedown Shed!

I see no leaves. 👀

Thanks Nick! Given the 40 second play clock and the 4 second plays, you only have to look up 10% of the time. And that doesn't even count timeouts, flags, and injuries. :thumb:
What is this????
Wish I knew BuzzzD! I found about 3 or 4 of them and they're obviously some stage of insect development, but I can't ID it. I can tell you it was hard, not squishy, and came off the leaves in one piece.
Very keen eye ️ you have kind Sir, much respect . Interesting way of doing trim jail time but to each his own. Looking bueno mi hermano. CL
Thanks Captain! It was hardly trim jail though...more like pulled over for a traffic ticket. :)
Congrats on the takedown Shed!
I see no leaves.
Me neeths...thanks GDB!
nice plump looking buds., congrates on the harvest
Thank you con! Plump looking but not too solid. I'd be surprised if there was much weight on this one, but grams/day will tell the tale.

Congrats on the CBG harvest, Shed! She looks good.
