InTheShed Grows Inside & Out: Jump In Any Time

How about a little Monday update? Let's start with the final weight on the DDA, which came in at 30 grams:

This is just one of the reasons I don't enter NOTM:

Speaking of OTM...GO VOTE IN THE CONTESTS y'all!

It got warm enough yesterday to split all the clones that were doubled up in solo cups. By way of example, here are the It's It Punch clones with a pretty thick rootball:

It takes time and patience to get them apart without damaging the roots, but it can be done. Dry soil helps a lot, as well as rolling, squeezing, tapping, bouncing, shaking, and cajoling:

Here they all are in separate cups. When the cups are full of roots again is when they get transplanted. And even at this stage they will be getting 4.5g/gallon MC because I'm seeing some deficiencies on them.

Though given the great state of the recovered mothers (they look like I should flip them!), I'm not sure I need these, with the exception of the Candida. I'll be throwing out that mother because of the extensive damage to the lower branches. It's tough to keep a plant small when the only healthy growth starts 12" off the soil.

That's what I've got this morning. I hope 2019 is winding down well and you all are looking forward to putting the wrong year on your checks for a while...if anyone besides me still writes checks that is.

There's quite a few cool things going on in your garden - never heard of clone splitting :)

Hmmm - I haven't checked out the vote thing yet - I'll head over there now - thanks for the link.

I think you fell asleep on your keyboard!
Nice! You win lol
No winning here...it's all great banter!

I like to maximize the real estate on the heating pad, so I put more than one cutting in each solo cup. Then I need to perform a magic trick each time!

Do vote in the contests...this month and every month :thumb:.

And while I have you, have you considered multi-quoting? It's what I did above and gets all the replies in one single reply box!

Here in the states, Santa doesn't catch the flu when going down the flue. And in the UK, you can get nicked by the nick for nicking something, and tossed in the nick!
You what the what now?
plants looking awesome brother. Can’t wait to see how splitting the football of this clones turns out. I’m sure it’ll be fine. Happy New Years to Shed and all!

Yes - thanks again for the link to the contests - I voted tonight and will do so every month now. Some of the plants and photos here are worthy of being highlighted on breeders' websites!

As for multi-quoting - I will do that starting now - thanks for the tip and helping me to get settled in here quickly :)

Let me begin the Tuesday update by wishing all my folks here a very

Happy New Year and a rockin' New Year's Eve!

I hope 2020 brings you and your loved ones nothing but good things.

Now, let's take a look at the Purple Skunk Krush roots on day 15:
@TheMadDabber

They're both showing crazy growth like this, and way more roots than the others that are three days older. Both PSKs need to go into 1 gallon pots any day now, so the tent is going to get very crowded soon.

Here are all the babies for the winter grow:

The PSKs are on day 15 and the Golden Tigers and Fruit Punch are on day 18.

The sun is out and the high will be around 70º today! Two lemon seeds are starting to break ground and I'll be moving them into solo cups (I remembered why I never liked peat cups...they dry out too quickly).

I hope 2019 was a good year for you, and the lows weren't so low as to drag down the highs. Thank you for all your help and support this past year, and let's keep trying to be good to each other. :peace:
:green_heart:

Looking good Shed! I love the fact your thumb is straight. The plants look like they are doing great as well and good to see the sun shining.

the high will be around 70º today!
The high will be me today because I ain't seeing those numbers for 5 months. :(

It's straight when it needs to be, and bent when I need to get into the secret club.

Living in a colder climate has its advantages. For instance, when I woke up on Sunday the house was at 58º and it never got above 63º until I put the heat on around 7pm. Our house has no insulation!
Happy New Years Eve shed and company.
That Grape Krush x Purple Mass Skunk from dabber?
Thanks UA, to you too! The seeds are indeed from MadDab. I'm trying to make him proud.
