Put shake in a turkey bag ?buy a turkey roasting bag and decarb in it. Keeps the smell to a min. and after decarb throw it in the freezer to bring temps down and keep terps in. My 2 cents that I use

Tit harves? Can I try some too?More sativa dominate would be better then no shed? Or maybe try tit harves a bit earlier? Less amber means less sleepy no ?
Thanks Joe! I had considered using a sativa for these meds, but figured that if he was going to have an outsized reaction, sleepy was better than manic . Err on the side of snoozing!More sativa dominate would be better then no shed? Or maybe try to harvest a bit earlier? Less amber means less sleepy no ?
Ahhh but unlike you, I would not hesitate to supercrop.I'm so evilly happy to see you following in my unfortunate footsteps. There is no way that plant is going to stay in the confines of your dark box. Just a suggestion, not telling you what to do, LOL, but I think you should flip yesterday or last week!
Yeah just need the right balance by sounds of itThanks Joe! I had considered using a sativa for these meds, but figured that if he was going to have an outsized reaction, sleepy was better than manic . Err on the side of snoozing!
Thanks Them! If I keep the Sour G in the same kind of shape it is now I think I know which branch I'd spray, as long as I can maintain this shape as it grows. I'm not overly concerned about the evenness of the canopy on the rest of the photos (SG, GL, AK clones) as they'll be almost entirely outdoor grown once the winter rains are over (and the vernal equinox next week). Spread will matter more than level. The AK needed to be level due to the winter sun/LED/forced flower aspect.Nice update there shed! I often type ppm when my meter is TDS (500 scale also) I suppose I should be a tad more clear on that.... Well just wanted to pop by and see what's crack a lackin. The sour g looks super lush! Since yours is far more mobile I would maybe suggest a lower arm to pollinate. I know the goal is an even canopy, but finding an out lying low or isolated branch helps from having to worry about unintentionally spraying an undesirded location (they say CS isn't the best for smoking, and you can be sure you don't end up reversing another part of the plant on accident).
I hope the tip spreading and super crop keeps them contained! My scraggly ass IVY is going beast mode in stretch... all I can say is thank God I have more than 44". But I have no doubt in your torture skills my good sir.
Also I appreciate the link there. Idk wtf a turkey bag is, well I guess I do, but I'll see if I can grab one today. You know how the wife is if she can smell anything herb scented
...can't reconcile his method with every other method of infusing oil.

That's my goal and the reason for experimenting with pressure decarbing. If you let your flowers dry completely you can decarb in sealed canning jars with no smell. Just open the jars outside after they've cooled down to let them air out. But then you still have the smell while you let the solvent evaporate. In terms of making oil, I don't know of anything that will make the entire process smell-proof. Even OldBear's method is going to produce that telltale odor through the small hole in the foil. And like I said, I can't reconcile his method with every other method of infusing oil. Wait until your wife has a head cold?
You do have a host of equipment sitting around (or on order) that most people don't! And I'm not sure how you get to completely dry without a dehydrator, which will produce a smell. That's my goal and the reason for experimenting with pressure decarbing. I want to make the whole process completely odor-free.
Thanks Norcal! Bumping up the cal/mag would add more nitrogen as well, so I could probably back off the Grow Big and let the cal/mag+ make up some of that difference during the transition.Me I start my plants in flower,, I start a Full dose flower fertilizer at the flip. And always up your cal/mag double/ triple at transition, and acouple weeks into when they are doing the stretch. Growing kids need strong bones. GL and Keepem Green
Oh ok. Thanks Derby . The Open Sesame is 5-45-19 (powder, making life a bit more difficult!), the Tiger Bloom is 2-8-4, and the cal/mag+ is 4-0-0. I'll have to see what each adds to the TDS and see how much Grow Big I would need. Grow Big is 6-4-4 for reference.I would not lower the big grow much until stretch is over. The plants still need quite a bit of nitrogen to produce bud sites during stretch. After stretch discontinue using it.
You'd only have to completely dry if you want to decarb in sealed mason jars due to the 1600:1 expansion of water to steam, otherwise there will be rupture of the mason jar. That suggestion was for those that want to avoid the baked flower smell that'll cause problems at home and with the neighbors. I'd imagine that most of us have charcoal canisters extracting the drying room to minimize smell just like we do our grow spaces. It's the oven decarb that stinks up a storm. You do have a host of equipment sitting around (or on order) that most people don't!
