#naileditOkay everyone...gather round to get the results of the lab analysis of my Candida oil!
[I'm only using the first two columns for this discussion.]
Let's start with the assumption that 1 gram = 1 ml since they report in mg/g rather than mg/ml like I had hoped. I've asked for confirmation but I probably won't get it until Monday at the earliest.
They have calculated the CBD content at 10.56 mg/ml and the THC below the limit of quantitation (at 0.46 mg/ml). So good on the breeders MMG for getting this strain locked down!
Now, let compare these results to @Oldbear's spreadsheet that I used when I made the oil.
You can see on the bottom right in the green cells that I had CBD at 11.16 mg/ml, so I was only off by 0.6 mg, which is pretty damn good! Lucky probably, but good nonetheless . Why lucky?
Because what we can't tell is whether the CBD % and efficiency rating are correct on the spreadsheet, as I didn't have any buds tested and went with a guess of 15% CBDx. It's possible that my buds are 20% CBDx and my efficiency rating is actually too high, or the reverse.
Either way, as long as I run my batches of oil the same way, I will know exactly what my doses are going forward.
Money well-spent I'd say.
Thanks double H!Well done sir!
Nah, he's just lame...Fancy!
Clone boy is prob to stoned to answer you....lol.
If you're in the US I'm sure you can get your oil tested. I just sent 5 capsules in the mail! Bud, on the other hand, is probably more risky. If by oil profile you mean the spreadsheet, PM me and I'll get it to you.I envy your access to lab testing there in the future. Here in the past we’re still stabbing in the dark (gosh, that sounded darker than it might’ve).
The oil profile looks very useful
Peace of mind with this harvest for sure. It's the two unknowns that still make it a bit of a crapshoot.Nice work, Shed. Now your math and the spreadsheet are validated by the lab. Does it give you peace of mind to know that you were right (real close). Gives one more confidence going forward with any more guesstimates. Cheers
44 grams in 2 cups of oil (473.18 ml). Cell C11 on the spreadsheet . And since I was making two cups of oil I did use the MB2. Six hours at 160º, cool overnight, eight hours at 160º. Liquid sunflower lecithin, fridge. How much bud per cup of oil was that recipe? And was it a MB2 infusion?
Yes and no. I still worry about the efficiency variable as Oldbear mentioned in another thread. It’s very encouraging isn’t it Regarding our guesstimations
Oh true! I hadn't even considered the decarb aspect. Thanks for pointing that out I'm sure I did my usual 90 minutes at 240º in the foil pouch. It also shows you got a complete decarb with no acid cannabinoids detected. Plus, a little CBC which is awesome!
Thanks P!#nailedit
Actually, you could probably hand deliver the sample because the lab is in SF! I mailed mine in a padded envelope .Excellent - I really love to see data! I'm curious how long it took them to do this analysis - I'm assuming you had to hand-deliver the sample.
Thanks SB. And still...No. Damn. Sun. Cute babies but they got some time before they need to be fed! Check out this post on those seed sack things you got and see if it helps.Very Good Shed and OldBear on the spreadsheet and a Damn good guesstimation < did think that was a real word > And man i hate to hear ur not getting any of this Sun shine and right nw 82F is great for some outside activities, Dragway running today Humm
Well, well, well. I can assume my buds are in that same neighborhood, so I’ll rerun my figures on that basis.
Thank you so much for sharing this Shed. Hmmm.... I’ll be adding another level to my dose.
Also, nice to know you got a complete decarb with the buds at 240° F for 90 minutes. I’ll remember that. I love having more data to back up out methods.
Ok. True, he mentioned that over at mine too. Tho’, OB based that on the fact he is able to do a second run with the mash and get another batch of equivalent strength, so I’d figure the double run would compensate for that. Never know until someone can test a bud and then the oil from the same batch of bud. There’s always variables i guess but we’re getting something to go on - and it corresponds to Chris’s data as well, so I still say it’s promisingstill worry about the efficiency variable as Oldbear mentioned in another thread.
That's great to know - when I'm ready for some testing I'll PM you for the contact info. I also found a place in Berkeley (maybe a tad bit closer for me) that accepts walk-ins. They claim they can test your sample while you wait - takes about 5 minutes for the testing. $50 per sample.Actually, you could probably hand deliver the sample because the lab is in SF! I mailed mine in a padded envelope .
It also shows you got a complete decarb with no acid cannabinoids detected.
One word of caution here. Since there was zero CBDa detected, that only tells you half the story. You certainly decarbed long enough to convert all the CBDa, but we don't know if maybe you decarbed too long.Oh true! I hadn't even considered the decarb aspect. Thanks for pointing that out I'm sure I did my usual 90 minutes at 240º in the foil pouch.
Okay everyone...gather round to get the results of the lab analysis of my Candida oil!
