InTheShed Grows Inside & Out: Jump In Any Time

Drop some in water and see if they crack!
They’re all green, you think there’s any chance they’re good? Although the banana donor was a hermie, so doesn’t that mean they’d hermie easily?

It means there's some punnet square chance it's a hermie if the nanner/donor hermied for no reason. If it hermied from stress then it's only likely to hermie if stressed.
They did go through some stress for a good chunk of time early on. I’m glad you linked the review for a punnet square. :thumb: I put a couple in water, let’s see what happens.

Do I just snack on them like sunflower seeds?

I would! If they’re still green they’re too immature to pop. Hemp seeds are a superduper super food though so there’s no reason why these ones would not be full of goodness also.

I imagine collecting them isn’t much fun. If theyre green and soft, don’t bother - they wont pop when you smoke ‘em i don’t think. Bit of a risk tho i suppose :hmmmm: . Toast em and put them in a salad - that’s what we do with hemp seed sometimes :yummy:

I’ve been snacking on the toasted hemp seeds from Foods Alive (sponsor plug)! They are really good! Maybe throw a little seasoning on them and toast them suckers!

After taking a week off from the forum, I'm back and caught up. This is the last thread I wanted to click on because I knew I'd be way behind (turned out to be 13 pages).

Had a great time at that meetup! Was great to put faces to posts. Almost felt like every conversation was a different workshop. I’ve got a ton of great incremental updates to do now!

Thanks for the clones! They’re just sitting in my office soaking up the safer soap I drowned them in before I throw them into a tent. I’m excited as they’re all strains I’d never pick out but I’m sure are awesome. I think Agemon’s are going to be perfect sized replacements for a couple (potential) males.

Your clones, I’m going to try to keep small for a bit in hopes that TheMadDabber’s seeds will catch up so I’ll have a full tent from just the plants/seeds from the cookout.

Should be a fun summer!

I also had to get pumpkin seed oil after trying your topical, that absorption rate was nothing short of amazing compared to my grape/coconut combo. I saw Avocado oil was cheap and has similar rapid absorption claims so I got a bottle of that to play with too.

Doesn't potassium deficiency take the edges of the leaves as well, browning and curling? Since these just go yellow and drop that's what made me lean to the nitrogen
Not sure if we got to the bottom of the deficiency yet brother but if I may:
Aphids can cause leaves to suddenly turn yellow and die, almost like a nitrogen deficiency.

“When feeding, aphids can cause leaves to curl, wilt or yellow and stunt plant growth. Aphids are also capable of transmitting diseases which they pass on when they feed on new plants”. - Aphid article on RQS

so I’ll have a full tent from just the plants/seeds from the cookout.

That’s pretty cool that you can grow a whole tent’s worth just from the meetup!

This is what I ended up with, quite the haul! Thanks to @Agemon & @InTheShed for the generosity.

I think the three big ones are BerryBomb from Age and there are 6 Candida, 3 Pineapple Chunk, and two SG (not sure what that stands for) from Shed.

I’ll start a journal for them before too long.

Glad to have you back farside! Nice you had time at work to catch up :).
That SD trip sounds amazing! What a great little community.
Looking good over here brother! Just cruising through to say hey...

It was a great day, and there was probably enough to chat about that we could have made an entire weekend out of it! I feel like there were a number of conversations I didn't get to finish because something else came up and we were all off in another direction.

Those clones have been kept small for this long I'm sure they won't mind another week or two for the seeds to sprout. And let me know if you need any tips on how to grow pineapples. Those are Maui Gold (unavailable on the mainland) and they're all children of one I brought back about 7 years ago.

Let me know how the avocado oil feels when you've tried it out. My first batch was with fractionated coconut oil and it wasn't as absorbable as I was looking for, which is how I came to my 50/50 mix with grape and pumpkin seed.

Thanks AW! I'll take a look and see if anything's living down under the canopy. Aphids are pretty easy to spot with my reading glasses on .
I might be in your guys area in a couple months. Coming to check out SoCal
Keep us posted!
I’m just missing that Durban for the full set.
Yeah, we're all waiting for those damn clones to reveg ;).

Quite a tentful :thumb:. The Berry Bombs are Agemon's, and mine are Candida, Peyote Critical, and Sour G (which is a Rooster Farms cross of Sour Diesel x GG#4 x THC Bomb). Enjoy, and post the journal link here (unless you want it on the DL...;)).

Tuesday update...all Candidas, all the time!

Totally overcast today but I had to pull the Candidas out for watering so I took a few pics on flip day 26.

@DrDoob and I had a conversation on Sunday about the difficulty measuring the MegaCrop in small quantities (and the white ball problem), and he suggested mixing 5 gallons at a time to work with a larger (and less random) measurement of the MC. I haven't had time to get a 5g bucket yet, so I thought I would try with two gallons as I have a 2g watering can.

So I filled four 1g containers with water, added ¼ tsp of Armor Si to each, and then added 12 grams of MC to two of them. Then I poured one plain gallon and one 12 gram gallon into the watering can and stirred it up. That was much easier to work with... :thanks: DrD!

Not much runoff from 2 gallons per plant, so that's what I'm going to water with from now on. On to the pics!

One of them:

The other one:

Getting back to my conversation with @Amy Gardner as to whether this is the indica or sativa pheno of the CD-1 (where's @Chris Scorpio ... he should have some input on these in flower compared to his), I took some shots of the stacking buds:

Candida growers please chime in with your comparisons!

I pulled off all the yellowing leaves so I can track new changes, having backed off on the Armor Si after my conversation yesterday with Penny, and I can tell you these plants are desperate for thinning. I'm putting aside a couple of hours to tackle that this weekend, along with transplanting clones.

I realized last night that the Berry Bomb clone from @Agemon is in coco! No wonder why it's always thirsty ;).

On with the rest of the day! :surf:
