InTheShed Grows Inside & Out: Jump In Any Time

Monday update, a day late and trichome pics short. :(

I didn't have a chance to get trich pics before the light went out last night (I'm going 20/4 with off time from 7-11pm), and this morning was hectic, so in the meantime here are a couple of pics from yesterday just to prove they're still with us!

Queen G auto 2, day 90, 55 days with pistils:

And here is the QG on day 98, 66 days with pistils:

If you're wondering what that plant would look like without all the dead leaves, Photoshop (or double H's green glasses) to the rescue!

Wouldn't it be nice if that were the reality. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Finally for the day, a big :thanks: to @North Atlantic Seed Co for their MOTY prizes:

T-shirt, stickers, plant labels, a very nice hand-written note, and a pack of Brain Storm seeds. Here is the description:

Genetics: Slurricane #7 x The Brunch F1 #5 - Feminized Photoperiod
Type: Indica Dominant Hybrid
Flowering Time: 55 – 65 days
[short!]
Terpene Profile: Peppery and fruity. Caryophyllene and Limone are very dominant in all test samples. Humulene and Ocimene consistently rounded out the top 4 terpenes in all samples as well.
Effect: Very relaxing, but won't put you in a coma. May result in a pleasant lack of motivation during the day, or a smooth passage into slumber during the evening.

If that sounds up your alley, click on the link and check 'em out. And thanks again to NASC for the goods!

That's it for me today and I'll try to get some trich pics tonight. I hope everyone's weekend went well and spring is in the air. 🌬️

Nice score on the clone and the crosses you have planned! And that's an excellent review. :)

I sure hope the seeds have enough of the original genetics to live up to the mother!
Hi Shed, long time no see, but getting some time back now. Glad I didn’t miss these harvests. I would have such a hard time not taking that brown plant but I see your point there. You got awesome buds. Big. Nice work, maxing out autos. And next time you happen across some internet gobbledygook about how you can get more harvests yearly if you grow autos…yeah, not so much anymore, lol. You’re experiencing the same thing I do with autos anymore - not a whole bunch of actual 70 day autos. They all take forever. Lmao. Love the photoshop treatment, never thought of that. Btw - the non- Slurricane parent of your NASC seeds is their very first Dirty Bird genetics offering ever. I’m growing it out next grow. Interesting that they’re now up and running to the point where they’re crossing their prize strains. The Dirty Bird catalog has grown quickly! Great stuff as always Shed.

Monday news is here!

Thanks Jon, and I'm glad things are a bit calmer at your place to give you time to stretch out on the site!

I hear ya on the growing (!) timelines for autos, and I guess it's a result of them going longer before flowering than the earlier versions. If you get pistils at 14 days then a 70 day total can happen. Once you push that out to 28+ days you're back up close to 100. I'm champing at the bit to get the tent cleared so I can get the Candida seed run going (I should probably upcan those to 1 gallon this weekend), but I'm not going to take these early just for that. It wouldn't be fair after all this time!

Oh yeah, the Slurricane Brunch...what state is that going to be grown in?

Lol! I meant the Brunch, the Slurricane predates the existence of Dirty Bird. But isn’t it Peanut Butter Breath x Mimosa or something close to that?

Oh right, the non-Slurricane side. :) I have no idea about parentage on any varieties (other than the Sour G) so best I could do is google that! Deciphering genetics has never held much interest for me...I prefer just growing and harvesting. 🪴

If it’s the same ones I got from Beez, it was a CapJunky X Chem91 mix that pollinated an original CapJunky and these are S1’s from one of those babies.
Very sturdy plant, massive leaves already.

Yours may be different but that’s basically how he explained mine.
@InTheShed got Cap Junky S1 beans like I originally sent you. The cross you're referring to was from a reversed Chem 91' Skunk VA pollinating a Cap Junky clone off of my CJ mother plant. CJ91 is it's name.

Mine were just labeled Cap Junky S1, but I'll let you know if I get more details! Either way, I hope mine is sturdy as well to survive the schlepping. :)
Get out your bamboo and yo-yo's cause the CJ girls get VERY heavy up top and need support.

...the CJ S1's that are going around my circle are very nice!...I grew one last year, and it will be in the rotation again this year...everyone that has run them speak highly...frostitutes, with a nice punch...S1's were a welcome addition, cause 1000 dollar clones are out most hobby growers ball park...starting to get the itch, but another month or more before I'll think about this years line up...cheerz... :high-five: ...h00k...🌴🌴...

someone offered me a cut but im on the other side of the wall.
looked decent. frosty & expensive. don't know much about it. is it better than cap's cut?
i think sluricane was bred by IHG. I have some macslury f2s to hunt some day.

Okay everyone, the Tuesday update brings trich pics!

I opened the tent this morning and the Queen G auto looks dead (okay...more dead), so definitely ready to come down tonight. Pics of that tomorrow, but in the meantime, here are some trichome pics from both plants, starting with QGa on day 100:

And here is the still green(ish) QGa2 (day 92):

I'd say another week for that one, but we'll see as it goes.

That's it for me today, and I hope your plants are green and your gills are not!

Bamboo will work, but yo-yo's will be problematic.
Thanks to @Jon and @Sparkey224 for the Haha's!

Great report, and I'm already looking forward to harvesting it. :)

Have we put a wall up there too? I thought we could stand on either side and hand stuff to each other...in the forest anyway. :high-five:
Plants look the same Hummm Anyway ,can you explain how you got the autos to go longer in veg when you get a chance ? NICE Prizes !! Another good reason I am HERE ! Thank You for all you do.
Thanks sb, and I have no idea how I got these autos to go longer in veg. 🤷‍♂️ Some of it may be related to the fact that the autos now are much more stable than the ones I started with 7 years ago, and some of it may be because I grew them in a much more controlled environment. I personally can't say if topping delays flowering because it didn't with the accidental LeCreme CBG auto I grew last year.

These 3 were/are all pretty ugly (100% my fault), but they definitely didn't flower early!

:ciao: Sorry about your dead looking auto. Good thing the buds look good. I missed the whole grow so I have no idea why they don't look as good as your plants normally do.

Ugly girls need love to Shedster. CL🍀.   :cheesygrinsmiley:

Highya ITS,

What gorgeous trichome pictures!! Love looking at all that rich gooey stuff you know will be great!! Those are seriously nice looking from that perspective! Thank you for that. Happy Smokin'

Ugly girls are good too.
At least their trichomes are! Thanks Keith. :)

Thank you HG! A lot of the reason they look like that is the same reason yours did: powdery mildew. That and spraying during lights-on rather than just before they went off. :(

I try to love all my plants equally...in veg anyway!

Thanks Bode! Since so many of these calyxes are bleached I'm not sure how they'll dry and cure, so this one may be headed for the dry-ice-hash bucket. I'll know for sure in a week.
