Monday harvest update!

Yesterday I took down the Amnesia Lemon Kush on flip day 70. To recap, this was sprouted in early November and vegged for 65 days, so total above ground was 135 days. Delicious Seeds calls this Amnesia Lemon x Indica Kush (60/40 sativa leaning) with THC levels at 21%. Flower is listed at 65-75 days so I'm right in the middle.

Here it was with most of the fan leaves off Sunday morning:

It had one of those double wide buds on a lower node:

It's more in-focus in real life I swear!

Here is the harvest pre-wash:

The bones:

Washed in plain tap water to get the dead aphids and castille soap off:

I trimmed this one alone (again, naturally) and watched the Texas A&M/LSU and Pitt/Miami college football games from back in November.

Here are the four supercropped tops after trimming:

I think it makes a difference in terms of total weight on the branch, but I plan to (try to remember to) weigh the buds off these compared to the tops I didn't supercrop. It won't be close to an accurate comparison but it might be interesting nonetheless. :)

And here they are hanging in the drying box:

That's the last harvest for a while, so stay for the final weights, the clones, the dry-ice hash, the banter, and cool folks who pass through. Thanks for hanging around, and the Summer grow will start sometime in May! :slide:

excellent my friend good job!

Congrats on the harvest shed!

What's up with the drying box? something like that might work well for me instead of using my main tent.
  • Is the cardboard to help with drying?
  • Do you put it in a controlled environment?
  • I think you mentioned earlier holes with a fan pointed at the box?
  • How many of those stalks fit in there?

Congrats on another fine harvest! :welldone:

Reminds me of the story "The Little Red Hen".

Being a rookie indoor grower, I'm not sure if I should track "flip day" or "flowering day". Flip day seems much easier and less ambiguous.:hmmmm:

I'm not so sure about that. My eyes aren't what they used to be.

I hope it turns out better than this... ;)

Thanks con!
Those are some fatties there Shed! Nice! Interesting comparison to come too!
Thank you Otter, and interesting (but meaningless) comparisons are still a lovely way to fill the day!
Good harvest Shed. It will be interesting how you find comparing the super cropped branches to the controls, tricky to compare of course.
Cheers Stunger! I'm going to try to segregate different tops during the burp to get an accurate 62% side by side.
Congrats on the ALK takedown!
Thanks GDB, and no more French here for a while. 🚫 🇫🇷
Quite a load in that box, Shed...Congrats on a great last harvest of the season
Thank you Carcass! I turned the MarsHydro SP250 all the way down and keep all the clones in there at night. Now I have all the desk space I could ever want. :)
excellent my friend good job!
Thanks Mark!
Excellent harvest my friend!! As per usual!!
Hey BLS, nice to see you around again, and thanks!
congrats shed. great harvest as always.
Thanks Chef, and I'm interested to compare g/day for this vs my longer veg winter grows. We'll see!
Congrats on the harvest shed!
Thank you stardawg!
What's up with the drying box? something like that might work well for me instead of using my main tent.
I've been drying in a cardboard box since my first harvest summer of 2017. Sometimes I dry in the tent if it's available but the drying box works well and holds a lot of stems.
  • Is the cardboard to help with drying?
Nope, just to hold the harvest and restrict airflow.
  • Do you put it in a controlled environment?
Nope, I have no control over my environment so I try to control the environment of the box by varying fan placement, speed, and the number of holes covered or uncovered (there are two lower right and three top left), depending on the RH where the box is.
  • I think you mentioned earlier holes with a fan pointed at the box?
Yes, I point a fan at the lower holes and the air flows through the box and out the top holes.
  • How many of those stalks fit in there?
Some dry weights:
Doug's Varin 8.7oz
Sour G 7.9oz
Tin Can Kush 10.5oz
Colombian Gold 7.4oz

So...a fair amount!
Congrats Shed, yummy looking buds.
Thanks Carmen! They smell good too. 👃
Winning as always MrShed
Baie dankie Lerugged!
Great Looking Harvest Shed ! Be hanging out till the next great grow !
Sweet, thanks sb!
Congrats on another fine harvest!
Thank you BL!
Reminds me of the story "The Little Red Hen".
Not to mention that dull Gilbert O'Sullivan song. ;)

To be fair, my son was up at school, my daughter was taking her after work Sunday afternoon nap, and my wife was off at a late brunch.
Being a rookie indoor grower, I'm not sure if I should track "flip day" or "flowering day". Flip day seems much easier and less ambiguous.
I track flip days because I think that's what the breeders use for inside flower days.
I'm not so sure about that. My eyes aren't what they used to be.
LOL!
I hope it turns out better than this...
Har, and I apologized for that a week ago!

Aww man! Awesome.

My two takeaway's from that display of grow excellence were -

Those awesome looking dry boxes, you hacked something together? Look perfect to my eye!

And, the total mic drop… 😂

Congrats dude! I’ll still be hanging out for the bants of that’s ok? Also my wife is going to find my stealth grow (stealth from her, not the law!) in 3 hours and make fun of me. She’ll see the funny side. After the angry bit.

The reason I’m targeting a solo cup grow? Because you inspired me! I saw what you were doing and it just triggered a bit of the deep fascination I have with the whole growing thing.

So for once no joke - thank you!

Also, 😅 they are too!

She’ll interfere and take over as soon as she see’s it 🤣
