InTheShed Grows Inside & Out: Jump In Any Time

Hope your feeling better bro. CL
Thank you CL! Didn't even reach for the tissue box today so that's a definite improvement. 👃
The young ladies look real good today...
Thanks Carcass!
And the rest of the week!
You need to stay in there with 'em to get rid of that head cold...
Get well soon, Shed
I'm at the office for meetings and conference calls, but I'm keeping a low profile. :)
Shorty is coming right along and will probably be a fat girl in the end
I sure hope so sb! Short and fat will fit just fine in the tent at night.
Got take care of yourself bro or big pharma need new caddy for their grand kid not yet born yet
LOL they'll make their money off me one way or another!
 :ciao:  🧄

Thursday update on the winter grow! It's threatening rain and chilly again today so all the plants are inside, but I did take them out to spray them for aphids.

Here they are all in a row:

The leaves are droopy from the spray for this guy and his little friends:

The Le Creme CBGs are on day 22 and the Amnesia Lemon Kush is on day 21.

How about some roots? LeC 1:

LeC 2:

ALK:

The LeCs are going into 1 gallon pots this weekend as long as there's a break in the rain!

I hope you're all doing well, and stay safe out there. :peace:

It looks like your experience with the Le Creme CBG's is similar to mine, at least comparing them to the ALK. Mine were very robust, stronger root growth and branches than I'm accustomed to, and faster growth. It wasn't a fair comparison for me really since I also added a larger SIP to the mix, but the one I'm growing is a beast. The thing showed pisitls on day three or four after flip! I've got a P deficiency I'm trying to address now which is also a bit unusual, but too many changes to really zero in on any one thing.

How would you say your two are compared to a normal seedling at day 22?

ALK is getting her legs! The French ones are going to have to keep the pedal to the metal to stay ahead of her.

How do you feel about the rain that you so seldom get?

I'd say they're about the same. The ALK might be making them look more advanced than they are. Here were my spring plants in March 2021 on day 22 and 20 for comparison, and I'd just transplanted them in this pic.

It will be interesting to see if they pistil-up faster than usual when I flip.

Thanks GDB, definitely on the move now! Zee Franchies need to watch der backs indeed. :)

I love the rain, probably because it doesn't happen much! Not to mention the fact that we really need the water. 💧

I'm hoping for some nice roots like those, been having the worst luck popping seeds lately. Got one above ground yesterday. 24 hours and all is well, cotyledons are green and opening. My Himalayan Blue Diesel is Rockin down the Highway.

I just took advantage of the BOGO offer, plus the xmas gift they throwing in, plus the freebies too. Not bad for $90 including the stealth shipping. Phoebe was in the chat today helping me out too. Good customer service at that place. WHAT A SHAMELESS PLUG FOR CANUK SEEDS

It's funny you mention that... I made some THC Oil this morning and shredded about 1.5 oz's of Northern Lights. Think I still got some NL seeds around here somewhere.

I got 3 little NL ladies in the tent right now :)

Let's sidestep the winter grow for a minute (the CBGs will get upcanned today because warm and sunny) and use this update to talk about the Candidas I have on hand:

That's four plants and it's a full tent.

Let's take a look at the history:

Why do I have four Candidas? Well one is the new mother (on the far left), and the solo cup one is related to a conversation I had with @Regrowth about how long you can keep a plant in a solo cup (for science!).

The other two were because wasn't sure if I was going to do another seed run with them before I decided to go with the winter grow. But now I need the tent space it was time to do some culling:

I am the Candida Killer! ⚔️

So now I have a mother plant and an experiment, and those will be under the 23w CFL on the desk, which means the winter grow can move into the tent under the Mars Hydro SP 250. I'll match the lux of the CFL in there for now so they don't panic.

And I rinsed the rootballs cleaned for the salve bin, which I only add roots to these days. Let's take a look at the roots:

Notice all the new growth above the original roots coming out of the very bottom? That's what comes from burying the stem on transplant! Here is the original set of roots coming out of the perlite (far right):

Noice!

That's all I've got today. I'm off to upcan the two Le Creme CBGs and then watch Michigan play Purdue for the Big 10 title. Go Blue!

You still have some NL around? Is that the same one you grew outside in the heat years back? I post links to that plant when growers are looking for heat tolerant varieties!

Yes you do! And they're moving right along now. :thumb:

And then there were two....:rip::rip:

That "experiment" in the solo cup is pretty impressive...
and equally impressive that you know how to feed 'em right in that tiny container- I'd of probably burnt that thing up months ago... 🤪

What do you feed her, anyway...?

Looking delightful Shed!
Thanks Stunger!
FTFY
Looking great Shed, and that solo cup is outstanding
LOL! Thanks Rex. :)

4.5g MC with every watering. Easy peasy! Other than the fact that it needs water every day, it's pretty easy to take care of. I just trim it every few months.

How'd they do?
Other than the fact that it needs water every day, it's pretty easy to take care of. I just trim it every few months.
How do you meant you trim it? Where do you do the trimming? I haven't yet read about how to look after a mother plant. Do you keep them in veg with lighting? The solo cup doesn't seem to prevent the plant from growing to the size of the ones grown in bigger pots. How'd you keep it from falling over. What about roots? You do grow some impressive roots, so how does the solo cup plant produce enough roots in its container to grow such a normal sized plant?

How'd they do?
Turns out it started at 5pm my time (I thought it was 5 Eastern time), so as soon as it's over I'll watch it. I always fast forward through commercials and time wasting stuff so it doesn't actually take 3 hours to watch!
How do you meant you trim it?
I just cut about half the plant off. I'll take pics next time I do it.
Do you keep them in veg with lighting?
Low light in the tent and bright shade during the day.
The solo cup doesn't seem to prevent the plant from growing to the size of the ones grown in bigger pots. How'd you keep it from falling over.
This one is doing pretty well since it's been in there nearly 6 months. Outside it sits in a clay flower pot for stability, but it stands up in its own on the desk.
You do grow some impressive roots, so how does the solo cup plant produce enough roots in its container to grow such a normal sized plant?
Thanks Carmen! It seems happy as long as I water it every day. It's definitely root bound and occasionally even sends out some new white roots through the holes in the bottom. I'll get pics for you.
