InTheShed Grows Inside & Out: Jump In Any Time

Didn't want anyone going through withdrawal! I'll have more pics tomorrow as well :).

IKR! And you can also buy the dye and re-spray it when the color fades (which is to say leeches into your soil) o_O.

BTW, sun is finally out. My wife is moving the plants out of the shed and onto the table, so two hours of direct sun. Good thing she's from good stock because that AK is heavy when it's been watered!

I just finished mixing my Super Soil for my next grow. Now it is going to sit and cook for the next 2 months. I'm not taking anymore chances with hot ass soil.

No, mine's just Dr Earth Pot of Gold and rinsed perlite.
I just got done fertilizing my citrus tree with some citrus tone. I stuck my hand in the bag to sprinkle it around the tree. Now my hand smells like a baboons ass.

Because I took a biology class on baboon ass and how it helps the different baboons identify each other.
Good answer :). Now we know why they stink...but how bad they stink?

Off the baboon topic and on the soil topic, I am making some worm castings with red wigglers from @Blew Hiller. On the plus side, they're not all dead. On the downside, it still looks like a lot of kitchen garbage in that tub! At some point I'll use that as a top dressing like you use some of the Dr Earth amendments and I'll see what I can cut down on.

That's how my compost bin looks. I shredded some cardboard boxes added some kitchen scraps and juice pulp from my juicer, tomato rinds from salsa and right now it looks exactly like all of the stuff that I just mentioned and not at all like compost.

And I started mine in early April! Lately I've been putting everything in a blender first but that's a pain and doesn't get rid of what's there already.

You know I was talking to an Advance nutrients guy once and he told me that you don't have to add veg nutes for veg and flower nutes for flower. He said you can mix everything in all at once in the proper ratio and the plant will take what it needs at the right time. He said that's why the nutrient calculator on their website recommends the same amount for Micro, Grow, Bloom each week.

But aren't you wasting the flower nutes feeding them to the plant when the plant doesn't need them? Great for the nute company, bad for your wallet! Anyway, if that were true, there would be no such thing as seeing a P or K overage in veg and I'm pretty sure that's a thing.

That's a great point, but now lets flip the script. What if it is in soil? If I mixed all three supplements and added them all at once to my soil, the ones that the plant doesn't need right away like phosphorous would just sit in the soil until flower. What do you think?

I water to runoff every time. I'm assuming (and hoping because I use the AK runoff to feed the Auto M!) that the runoff contains any nutrients the plant doesn't use from last time. That's what runoff TDS is telling you.
