InTheShed Grows Inside & Out: Jump In Any Time

Great rescue story, Shed!

She's looking great today on the 13th!

Oof! I topped it on June 20th, and it continued to grow, but very slowly. Here is what it looked like on day 65 (June 24th) after another transplant, still using the shite soil:

The excellent genetics from Weed Seeds Express were just waiting for me to get the hell out of the way. :)

I'll probably flip this and the Sour G this weekend so they will get some summer sun during flowering.

:thanks: for following along.

Wow! Nice recovery, Shed. I'm happy to see your summer grow is getting back on track.

Thanks Carcass! She still looks pretty good today too. :)

I know right? I think I can go back to calling it the Summer grow now. Phewf!
Nicely done Shed. “I’m a Chiquita banana and I’ve come to say…bananas have to ripen in a certain way!“
Now that it's no longer flecked with brown and with a golden hue, I think it's looking better and we know it's true!

Highya ITS,

You get the Lazarus Award! It's for taking a plant certain for death, figuring what's wrong before it's too late, and bringing it back to excellent health! Great job!! Happy Smokin'

Pretty amazing turn around! :welldone:

Not sure if it's experience, more likely inventory. If I needed the meds I would have been much more stressed.
Very good point, I had empty jars just a few weeks ago. Thankfully edibles helped tide me over for a couple of weeks.
You can definitely quad three 5 gallon pots in there, but you'll end up with smaller plants so as not to outgrow the tent. That's fine because there will be three of them, but everything is a balancing act.
Yeah, I figured it would be a similar total yield but spread across three plants instead of two. I went with Chocolope, Wedding Cake and Runtz. All germinated, just waiting for them to sprout. :thumb:
Yes. It gets them high. :cheesygrinsmiley:
Haha, classic. :laughtwo:

Wednesday update is a single pic since it was raining this morning (summer in Los Angeles?) and the plants are all inside from now until Sunday morning.

Herewith is the Candida S1 dented seed test results:

That's the seed that hadn't split when I put in in the peat and it looks like it's growing out of the early variegation. The other thing is one of the split seeds that may eventually turn into a plant, but I'm going to call this one a 25% success rate. Next I'll try four of the undented seeds and see how those do.

In a few weeks, the Candida I flipped in the closet (seen in the middle of this pic taken last week) will get completely pollinated with what I collected here in the hopes that it takes. If it does, those will be the seeds I can pass along to those in need, and the first batch I will keep for myself.

As I mentioned, I'll be out of town tomorrow through Saturday night, so I've got some plant rearranging to do. The Summer grow (Chiquita Banana and Sour G) along with the Jack Herer replacement will get to spread out in the shed, while the flipped Candida will hang out by itself in the tent. The clones will sit under the 23w CFL awaiting my return.

:peace:

Thanks Bode! I had no idea they handed out Lazarus awards. LOTM? :)
Beautiful troubleshooting explanation Shed!
Thank you Otter, though it sure did take me a while to sort this one out!
Pretty amazing turn around!
:thanks: and phewf!
Well that is Something i must say having used this close to the same potting soil I know where your coming from , very disappointing to say the least . I got some bell pepper plants that i think are in the this Kellogg's soil and they are the same height as they were 2 months ago with NO Veggies !
Damn, sorry to hear it works no better on veggies sb. I bet it's why my window box plants never get very big either now that I remember that's what I filled it with. Time to dig that all up and replace it with quality soil.
Shed and friends , when a slurry test is done of the soil do you use your PH pen for water to do this ? Thanks in Advance
Indeed! Here are the slurry test instructions I often post:
Take samples from a few different places (dig down a bit rather than just use the top) and add an equivalent amount of distilled water as grams of soil (10 grams of soil, add 10ml water). If that doesn't make a slurry, use enough to make a stirrable but thick slurry.

Stir it up, wait 15 minutes, stir again. Do that for at least an hour (longer is better), and then put your calibrated pH stick in the water. That's the pH of your medium.
Very good point, I had empty jars just a few weeks ago. Thankfully edibles helped tide me over for a couple of weeks.
I have the advantage of being able to grow some big outside plants which has left me with an nice inventory of meds in jars.

And we're waiting for a link to the new journal... :nomo:
Haha, classic.
It sure is at my house! :cheesygrinsmiley:

I'm hoping to get there eventually. If I behave myself I reckon I'll still have a little of the Blueberry Cookies and C99 left after next harvest.
And we're waiting for a link to the new journal... :nomo:
Haha! I'll definitely drop a link once they've sprouted. Hopefully this time round it'll be less of a weather forecast and more of an actual journal.

What a turnaround on the Chiquita Banana btw, nicely done! :thumb:

Hi Shed, another quick question. The Safers soap. Can it be used preventatively or should I continue using something else for prevention and use the Safers as a cure? I finally found a local product!
