InTheShed Grows Inside & Out: Jump In Any Time

Damn I completely orphaned that post!

Did you transplant when the plant was due for the next feeding or did you transplant between feedings?
I transplanted between feedings with the soil damper than I prefer, but weekends are the only time I can do it and I didn't want to wait another week. Probably could have waited root-wise but I thought I'd try a batch earlier than usual.

I did water in the GF though on transplant, but nothing since.

For those who don't know what N is referring to, the latest plant post got orphaned here.

Thanks N!

And while we're kinda on the subject of both prizes and mycorrhiza, check out what @DYNOMYCO sent me:

Not just a bag of the product but a well-designed flat rim baseball cap. :welldone:

Now if I could only find out how they feel about the Canadian peat and synthetic phosphorus research.

Hey @InTheShed cool hat where did you get it ;)
Look forward to seeing you open that bag and get inoculating! I will take a look at the literature and respond accordingly.

Thanks :peace:

Thanks @DYNOMYCO! Even my 19-year-old son thought it was cool, so that's saying something. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I look forward to your response to the mycorrhizae/peat research. I'd love it to work, but between the Canadian peat and the levels of synthetic phosphorus in nutes, I'm wondering.

:thanks:

Please pardon the intrusion, maybe you and/or your followers might be interested :cheer:

If so, please apply in the comparative grow thread, as I won't be responding to replies here :thanks:

It won't work for me, but anyone else with a hankering for some GSK should jump in there!

Happy St. Patrick's day but I don't own any green clothing...doesn't go with my skin tones! I do have things growing that are green though so I hope that will suffice:

They were a little droopy this morning so I fed them the equivalent of 3.5g/gallon of MC (except the Candida: wasn't dry, and the TCK2: GeoFlora). Why "the equivalent"? Because I am changing up the nutrients now to see if I can follow @Mr. Sauga's nute schedule. [Note: you can ignore all of this if diving into the weeds of feeds isn't something of interest.]

MrS has found that a 5-1-5 seems to work well, along with a 4:winkyface:1 K:Ca:Mg ratio and added silica up to 50ppm. It's not easy to do, but it's easier with the hydrobuddy software and a few different nutrient bottles. I won a three-part set of Blue Planet nutes and have a new bottle of TPS cal-mag that's 0-0-0, so I put what I have into the hydrobuddy software and it spit out roughly the following for a gallon:

MC: 2g
Blue Planet Micro: 3g
TPS cal-mag: 1g
Stout Si: 9g (for 30ppm at this point)

Yes, even the liquids are in grams since that's how hydrobuddy works.

That gets me to the equivalent of 3.5g of MC in terms of nitrogen, which is still the jumping-off point for deciding when to up the nutes.

Yes, I am back to 4 nutes now (from one) but I'll see if I can keep my plants as green as MrS keeps his. Or closer to it anyway. :cheesygrinsmiley: I do have to allow more time in the morning now. 😪

And regarding hydrobuddy, it's not an easy program to figure out, and I never would have gotten it without MrS walking me through it over and over. :thanks:

Having shoulder blade issues today so I have to go back to Van's thread where @Heavenly Hybrid did a few great posts on shoulder pain. Here's one with a diagram! Last time this happened it was a dislocated rib, though it took me trips to four different people to get that diagnosed and fixed. Unfortunately, that chiropractor moved to the Valley so I'll have to find a new one or schlep up there. :(

I hope all is well with you, and no one punches you if you're not wearing green!

So do you get 100% return since the starting THC content is identical? Or do they mean they are returning 15-20% of what the dry weight would have been?
His figures came from wet weight. I fell into the not enough info trap maybe? I don't believe in the kind of magic that says we can get x% of 10 pounds and be that much more(80%?) than dry. I'm going with the dry outcome we know is available in weight in my head. Now that you ask I'll have to find out if I return to that, maybe if the outdoor grow goes good. I don't like retail, I'm a pre- owned kind of guy. I have a good case of sticker shock today so... That's also code for Ms Otter being not as enthused as I.:hmmmm:

Sweet hat! I'm running that in my plants bellies as we type. It really spices it up for them! Haven't had a harvest yet but when I do! Ok tech talk over. Enjoy that prize friend!

Highya ITS,

I like your green young'uns!! They look like future fat mamas! Happy St Patricks Day to you and yours! We're finally getting some decent weather here! Spring is right on time this year!! (close, lol) Happy Smokin'

Happy St. Patricks Day, Shed!
I don't own any green clothing either, but I'm not leaving the house today- so Mrs.C. is the only one that might punch me... :)

LOL! Thanks for still thinking about it, but thanks to Mrs. Otter for putting the kibosh on the retail aspect. :)

Thanks! I'm sure it works a charm in soil, but I'm still wondering about peat and such. I sent an email to my guy at ProMix to see what he thinks. :reading420magazine:

Thank you Bode! Of the five, only two will be grown out and flowered (the Red Dragon and a female :fingerscrossed: Tin Can Kush). The Candida will be used for seeds and the other TCK's will be tossed or gifted, depending on their gender.

Here's to spring! :high-five:

Works out perfectly! You probably deserve it if it happens...gummy shortage would be my guess. :)

Thanks Fred! All is good in shedland, and to prove it, how about some individual pics of the Spring grow...for the Friday update. :) I shot these in the tent but they're all in the sun from about 8:30am until 4:30pm.

First up is the Tin Can Kush 1, day 35:

TCK1 SaugaView®:

TCK2 on GeoFlora veg, day 35:

TCK2:

TCK3, day 33:

TCK3:

Red Dragon, day 35:

Red Dragon:

Candida, day 33:

Candida:

I'm pretty happy with all of them, but I think the Candida is getting a bit over its skis. It's droopy because it's thirsty but I'm going to wait until tomorrow before it gets water, and it's also probably time to order the STS for the reversal of one of the clones.

Not worrying about topping or training yet. There's plenty of time, there's plenty of time!

Here's to the end of the work week (for those on this side of the globe). :high-five:

Stay safe. :peace:
