InTheShed Grows Inside & Out: Jump In Any Time

The Thursday update is seed-pickin' poll!

Since it's getting to be a new year (finally!), it's time to start selecting the strains to grow in 2021. As I mentioned, I'm done with pure sativas (7 this year, 8 if you count the DDAs) and pure indicas (3 last year), so now I'm back to hybrids. Preferably ones that lean a bit more to the sativa side.

And since @WeedSeedsExpress was kind enough to offer me another shot at some of their excellent genetics, I thought I would list some choices here and let y'all pic them for me. :high-five:

Here are the ones I've narrowed it down to, choosing ones that were more than 50/50 sativa, and eliminating the low fungal resistance strains, as well as those with the word "cheese" in the name. Pick your top three (at least) and please list them in order of preference:

ACDC 40% Indica / 60% Sativa (medium fungal resistance - MFR)
Amnesia Lemon Kush 40% Indica / 60% Sativa (high fungal resistance - HFR)
Bubblegum 40% Indica / 60% Sativa (MFR)
Chiquita Banana 40% Indica / 60% Sativa (HFR)
Critical White 40% Indica / 60% Sativa (MFR)
Jack Herer 45% Indica / 55% Sativa (MFR)
NYC Diesel 40% Indica / 60% Sativa (HFR)
Sour Diesel 30% Indica / 70% Sativa (HFR)

If you know that one of these tends to lean more indica than listed, let me know. Remember, even though these are hybrids, I still need social happy weed!

:thanks:

My choices in order are:
  • Jack Herer (a fave of mine)
  • Sour Diesel (another fave of mine)
  • Bubblegum (never heard of it but I bet the smell is great)
:battingeyelashes:

Thanks for the votes, and keep 'em coming! If I can figure it out I'm going to do a ranked voting system to make the final picks.
Sour diesel is supposed to be good for pain and arthritic toes (I’ve heard).
So sweet of you to remember my wife's toes!
Looks like you're at least going bananas!
Almost always!
Do we need a reason?
No reason needed VetSmoke, and :welcome: to my little slice of the 420 pie here. Glad to have you aboard, and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Main things going on now are that I'm spraying three Candida plants with different dilutions of GA3 to try to get them to reverse, and have two big plants in flower. There, now you're caught up!

Jacks the only one I know and it’s definitely Sativa leaning.

Thanks for the welcome. I've lurked about in the background a few times over the last year or so. I do have a quick question and apologies if it's already been asked but is there an advantage to using GA3 opposed to CS or STS? I've started looking into them a bit as I fancy trying a reversal sometime next year.

I've seen lots of good results from folks using CS, but I sent a couple of Candida seeds to a seedmaking wizard back east, and he was unsuccessful using it on them. I'd also heard that Candidas are a tough plant to reverse, so I thought I would try using something that works using a different system. I can tell you that 180ppm is too high and I ended up with a plant of indeterminate sex! So I'm working on the low side now at 60, 72, and 90ppm. We'll see.

That said, many plants respond perfectly well to CS, so I'd give that a try. Unless I get a breakthrough here first!

Hey, Shed. I am detail-oriented. I'd like to make some picks but first I need to know what "HFR" and "MFR" denote.

BTW, tell the folks at @WeedSeedsExpress that @Grand Daddy Black sends a sincere and heartfelt Hello! :laughtwo:
:Rasta:

Much appreciated. I see you can get some crazy stretching with GA3 and I just don't have the space to deal with that.
That's for sure! I ended up with a 4' plant from under 12" when I started with the 180ppm spray. If vertical space is an issue, go for the CS first!

The expanded versions of MFR and HFR are in the first two strains listed. Medium Fungal Resistance and High Fungal Resistance!

Thanks for the opportunity. I love to vote on stuff! :Rasta:

Can't stand the smell. Cheese and weed...feh! Oh, and long time no see around here Fudo. :ciao:
I'm growing a Cheese now because I've never had one, and I can't wrap my head around a weed with either a cheese taste or smell. How does that happen? I mean, really, how did someone get cheese into weed?

Hey!! Sorry so late but just checkin in and checkin up. :) Gotta give my two cents for what they worth. First off, great selection and very hard to decide as ive actually tried most of these except the banana. And how i do absolutely love banana OG and its sedating, appetizing ways so im sure it good too. boiled it down to these 3 for me. thanks for the oppurtunity to vote!
1.Sour Diesel - an all time fav start the day strain for me.
2.Jack herer - yes, jack and all his kids(ex. rossetta stone) always welcome at my crib
3.NYC Diesel - yummmmm tried this recently and lovvve

My honest opinion though..to much sativa! not enough indica! although id agree could never have to much of any of these strains! love em all but i gotta have those heavy hittin indies too. speakin of...it bedtime n chillum callin my name. cheers
